3rd Gen PkRS ??

    Under the pokemon, it says "status: PkRS" for both my torkoal and my gardevior, what is it and what does it do ?
     
    Be thankful that you do have pokerus. Pokerus is a very rare desese that some pokemon get. It makes pokemon more powerful in battle. Sadly pokerus doesn't last for long so be sure to put the pokemon/Pokemon's that have pokerus in your pc so that other pokemon in the pc box will get infected and gain the desese.

    PkRS is Pokerus... it's a virus that will double your EVs obtained in a battle. You're part of the Elite Pokerus Club, along with myself, considering it is extremely rare (rarer than a shiny, if I'm correct). It spread to other Pokes in your team, so be sure to store a few infected in your PC to save it, because it eventually dies off (I've noticed it lasts longer depending on the Poke - my Metegross has it for about three days, but my Steelix had it for almost 5. No clue!).
     
    my gardevior has had it for over a week alreayd and i just caught torkoal today cause I needed a fire pokemon for the E4, and actually I just noticed a more then a handful ahve it in my box because of a tropius i have infecting all of em i assume
     
    Few people have experienced your luck, and VERY Few have experienced greater luck, like me for example, I was hit by the Hyper-Rare Pokerus Glitch on Crystal (Odds are in the millions I think). It gives every one of your Pokemon Pokerus and, here's the REALLY BAD part, almost all of your Pokemon turn into Slowpokes with 4 Sleep powders at the same time. But besides that, I only got it once on Pearl, when I obtained it by fighting A Machoke in Tengan Mountian.
     
    Maybe your Pokemon really are just slow.
    There is nothing negative about having Pokerus. PkRS is a blessing that cuts your EV training in half literally! Couple the effect of Pokerus with that of a Macho Brace and EV training will almost be as easy as breathing.


    I've experienced having PkRS. The only complaint I have is that I only got it on my Crystal version..... on my Emulator. x_x
     
    Yeah I got it years ago on Ruby , sadly for me I was just a little 8 year old and I didn't know what it did, such a shame... But at least now I got bragging rights. Odly enough, I don't have a shiny, yet I have the even rarer pokerus...
     
    Please use the Simple Questions thread for questions like this in the future.

    As said, the PokéRUS boots the experience that your infected Pokémon gain during battle. It also spreads between Pokémon, for example your team.
