Platinum team

I'm looking for some suggestions for my current Platinum team. I recently started a new game and have been doddering along with the following:

Togetic Lv 22
Gentle nature

- Defog (this was just temporary I believe)
- Secret Power
- Steel Wing
- Sweet Kiss

Will he be worth evolving into Togekiss? I don't particularly want to replace him but suggestions are welcome.

Eevee Lv 23
Hardy nature

- Tackle
- Quick Attack
- Sand-attack
- Growl

...yea, I only just got him. I intend to evolve him into a Glaceon. Any moveset suggestions?

Drifloon Lv 23
Relaxed nature

- Payback
- Astonish
- Gust
- Focus Energy

I think she's cute but I want to know if she'll be any good in the long run. I've never really played with ghost-types.

Prinplup Lv 28
Gentle nature

- Bubblebeam
- Metal Claw
- Fury Attack
- Peck

I'm not really warming to him but early days. I'm not a huge fan of the Gen IV starters anyway. Any replacement suggestions?

Roselia Lv 28
Timid nature

- Grass Knot
- Growth
- Mega Drain
- Toxic Spikes

I may eventually evolve her into Roserade. Although I find a lot of grass-types don't really have great movesets. Suggestions? Replacements?

Crobat Lv 30
Impish nature

- Air Cutter
- Confuse Ray
- Wing Attack
- Bite

She's my first Crobat and I don't want to replace her :3 Moveset suggestions?


I'm not looking for the strongest team in existence or anything but just want to get opinions on what Platinum Pokemon are strong battlers and/or fun to raise. Thanks guys!

Personally, I prefer Rotom over Driftloon for Ghost Types. Rotom is dual Electric/Ghost, which makes it a unique pairing. As far as Togekiss, Staraptor is probably better as far as Flying types go. Togetic/Togekiss don't really learn any Flying moves unless you use TMs.

I also want to say that you already have 4 Pokemon that are weak to electric (Driftloon, Togetic, Prinplup, Crobat). You might want to consider replacing Togetic and Driftloon with pokemon that aren't Water and/or Flying. More than half your team is weak to Electric. That's not good. If you run into a decently-raised Luxray or something, you're screwed. Definetly get decent Psychic Type, and maybe a Fire type like Rapidash. Or you could get a ground type to counter Electrics. The Gible-Garchomp line is my prefrence.

As far as a moveset for Glaceon...you could try: Hail, Ice Beam(TM13), Blizzard, Bite. Bite is learned at LV29, so you might want to evolve Eevee around 25-28. Save a Rare Candy for when you want to evolve it.

That's all I've got for now. Your Crobat looks awesome, BTW.

Because of the weakness to electricity that jab pointed out, you might want to replace Toegetic, Drifloom, or Pinplup with a solid ground-type (pick your favorite our of Golem, Steelix, Gastrodon, Hippowdon, and Garchomp), and like the guy above pointed out, Rotom makes a much more useful ghost than Drifblim.

As an amateur poison-specialist, I can also tell you that your Roserade and Crobat need a little work.
-For Roserade, I'd replace Grass Knot with Leech Seed or Sludge Bomb. If you want both, I'd replace Growth for the second one, but it can be useful in certain situations, so I'll let you decide.
-Crobat doesnt do special attacks that well (especially impish ones), so replace Air cutter with a better STAB attack like Poison Fang or Cross Poison. Replace wing Attack with Fly as soon as you can. :P

Thanks for the suggestions! I was actually toying with the idea of catching a Gible because 1. it looks awesome and 2. I know I have an epic disadvantage against electric attacks. I might replace Prinplup or Togetic with said Gible.
