I am about to beat Soul Silver's story mode, which has been the first pokemon game I've played since the original.

Would it be worth it to buy Platinum? I never played Diamond, Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire, etc. I'm really looking forward to wi-fi battles when my team is ready on SS, but I could always train them in Platinum...

    Thanks!

I m exactly like you, beat Soul Silver, then I picked up my Platinum that I never played..and LOVED it. Much better

Lolz, that's exactly what I did. I dunno why, but I had started Platinum, but I never finished. But as soon as I 100% completed SoulSilver (storyline, national dex, etc), I went back to play Platinum. Platinum's great. It's been a long time since I played my Diamond version, so it was nice to play that storyline again after forgetting some of it.

Yes, Platinum is worth it. You get extra Pokemon you can't normally get in SoulSilver!

Yeah the Sinnoh Pokemon are very diff. and all three games are worth it. And you can hunt for shinies by chaining. :3

eh..pokemon platinum is ok for me. At the time that I bought platinum, I was replaying my diamond and everything towards the beginning was REALLY repetitive and I got bored of it and stopped playing for awhile, but when I started playing again I was towards the newer parts of the game, including the distortion world. Those newer parts of the game were the parts that were AMAZING for me, I loved it. I still don't play it that much, but the new parts make it worth it whereas the beginning is still really repetitive.

Yes it is worth it, I really liked the game and there's more powerful trainers and wild pokemons in that game... I ended up with level 70-80s pokemon in that game while in SS with 55-65.

I bought Platinum shortly after I bought HeartGold because a lot of people I knew liked it and so I decided to grab a copy. I already had Pearl and my sister has Diamond but I also wanted the third game for the generation. Anyway, I haven't played too much of Platinum yet because I was busy beating Pearl and now I've been trying to get shiny pokemon in Pearl AND also play HG. But, I like Platinum so far even though I'm kind of in the beginning and it's really similar to Diamond and Pearl.

If you're not too sure, you can always see if your local gaming store has a copy used and buy it and return it. But, I think it's worth it. And a lot of friends I know like Platinum over Diamond/Pearl.

Platinum is worth it 200000x better then dimond and peral u need it its my favioret game

Platinum is definitely the more quality game. I played platinum nonstop and I couldn't look forward enough to hg/ss, but once I beat them both, I went back to platinum and I gotta say, way better. The interface on hg/ss is better and scrolling through your bag is less of a hassle but platinum isn't as gimmick-based as hg/ss.
