So I'm doing a run through of my Pokemon Red Version for VBA and I'm having a bit of trouble completing my team. I was wondering if you guys could help?

I've just beaten Koga's Gym in Fuchsia City and my team as it stands comprises:

    Charizard- Lvl. 46- Slash/ Mega Punch/ Flamethrower/ Dig
Jolteon- Lvl. 44- Double Kick/ Sand Attack/ Thunder Wave/ Thunderbolt
Pidgeot- Lvl. 44- Wing Attack/ Double Edge/ Quick Attack/ Fly
    Primeape-Lvl. 44- Submission/ Rock Slide/ Karate Chop/ Body Slam
Lapras (I intend to add the gift Lapras that I will get in Silph Co.)

This leaves one more space to fill. The Pokemon in my PC that I have in mind for this final position is:

    - Snorlax
    - Tauros
    - Scyther
    - Marowak
    - Nidoking

Who would be the best logical choice to complete my team and what moves should they have?

Snorlax could be a good choice as it can be used as both offensive & defensive.

    Snorlax@Leftovers
    -Body Slam
    -Rest
    -Sleep Talk/Snore
    - your own choice

last slot of move is your own. you can have a powerful move or a stat changing move which can either raise Snorlax's Attack (or a Toxic to slowly kill the foe if you are out of Body Slam).

Other choice could be Scizor (evolving Scyther) as it has only one weakness.

Scizor doesn't exist in Red. As well as some moves you mentioned. I'd personally pick Nidoking, because it learns moves of many different types. The other options you listen aren't that good, or are mainly used for Normal-Type moves, which Pidgeot already does.

Woops! i have never played Pokemon Red & i forgot it has only Gen I pokemons :D
Alright then Nidoking will be best. It can learn many differnet types of moves which you already mentioned.
