    Hello everyone!
Being an avid player of UU/NU matches, I kind of lagged behind regarding OU. Since all my friends (and pretty much everyone around) are doing OU now, and with an internal tournament coming at the end of February, I'm looking for opinions and help on my team.

I'm mostly working towards the tournament. Please have in mind that the Item Clause is in effect on it, and that we have the same gentleman agreement on our friendly matches.

I'm right now leaning to smogon EV spreads, but will custom them once I do more research and/or try the team around.

    Team at Glance

    The Team:

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Infernape @ Focus Sash
    Naive / Blaze
    60 Atk / 252 Spe / 192 SpA
    ~Close Combat
    ~Fake Out
    ~Overheat
    ~Stealth Rock

A standard Infernape lead. Using Overheat over Fire Blast for the added accuracy and power. Don't really care about the Sp. Attack loss, since it'll probably not net a second one.
Fake Out to break sashes, and then the either appropriate attack if I can KO, or set up SR if I can't.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Scizor @ Choice Band
    Adamant / Technician
    248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
    ~Bullet Punch
    ~Pursuit
    ~Superpower
    ~U-Turn

Nothing to see here. Banded Scizor, with Bullet Punch for priority, U-Turn for scouting and Pursuit to chase off Blisseys fearing the fighting attack, psychics or ghosts.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Breloom @ Poison Orb
    Jolly / Poison Heal
    12 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spe
    ~Focus Punch
    ~Seed Bomb
    ~Spore
    ~Substitute

Focus Puncher Breloom. Nothing exactly otherwordly, but pretty awesome to have on your team.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Empoleon @ Petaya Berry
    Modest / Torrent
    12 HP / 244 Spe / 252 SpA
    ~Agility
    ~Ice Beam
    ~Substitute
    ~Surf

12 HP for Petaya Berry to activate after the third substitute. Ice Beam over Grass Knot to check on dragons that try to behave funny. Also, grass coverage is already taken with Breloom and Rotom-C Scizor, up to a point.

    Gyarados @ Leftovers
    Adamant / Intimidate
    156 HP / 72 Atk / 96 Def / 184 Spe
    ~Dragon Dance
    ~Stone Edge
    ~Taunt
    ~Waterfall

A bulky Gyarados here. Taunt is there to stop phasers or things that think they can set up con him.

    Rotom-C @ Choice Specs
    Timid / Levitate
    252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
    ~Hydro Pump
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Trick
    ~Shadow Ball

Choice Rotom. Nothing outstanding, but gets the work done. Partners extremely well with Empoleon, preventing Fighting and Ground attacks.

    --------------------------------------------------

So that's the team. Threats that I'm missing, better movesets/EV suggestions, and any other help will be very much appreciated.

Thank you for your time! =)

Just at first glance I can tell you that Rotom-W over Rotom-C is probably a better choice. Hydro Pump is better than Leaf Storm in most cases, the major exception being Swampert, but Breloom, Gyarados, and Scizor are all good switches into Swampert. Hydro Pump lets it lure Tyranitar very effectively and even some overzealous Heatran users.

I'd say that the most obvious weakness is Gyarados, Heatran crushes you unless you're willing to essentially sacrifice Gyarados to keep it in check. A good fix for this is Suicune over Empoleon, which gives you a solid answer to both Pokemon. You'll probably want to use an offensive CM Suicune to keep the momentum rolling since this is obviously a bulky offense team. You'll probably want to use Leftovers instead of the Life Orb though just to help it last longer or Gyarados users will just wear down Suicune quickly and then sweep you. Life Orb would be better placed on Gyarados (to keep your team from violating item clause, as you mentioned).

Other than that though, this team seems pretty solid. It has some nice offensive weapons and is very good against hazards. Having all Pokemon (except Suicune, should you put it in) who don't die in the first 3-4 turns immune to Toxic Spikes is always a big plus.

    Thank you for the opinion/rating/whatever.
I tested the same team, but changing the Gyarados for an Agiligross, and Empoleon for an offensive CM Suicune, and while it wasn't bad, it didn't behave quite as I expected.

I'm also using Rotom-W over Rotom-C, and it's doing a much better job. Thank you.

I've also being toying with a new lead (Endeavor/Mach Punch Infernape), but really can't get the EV spread or the attack combinations straight.

    Anything else? Anyone? Halpz?!
