5th Gen Please Help Me!

I have decided to buy a DS and the new pokemon game, wether it be black or white, anyways..i'm brand new to pokemon but these games looks fun after reading up on them

My question is this

I am vaguley familiar with the old pokemon like pikachu and squirtle and stuff like that, in the new black and white games would i be able to capture the first 151 (i think) too? or is it all new ones? would i have to buy the older games to get them? if so which ones?

when u fist start black and white u can only catch the new region pokemon but after u defeat the e4 u can catch the older pokemon i believe most of them anyway

ok awesome, so really i have no need to buy the older games then? money is limited so if i dont have to i dont want too...is there a listing of what older pokemon you can get after you hit that level somewhere?

If you want to catch all 649 (good luck!), you will need other games, and another DS. To legitimately catch them all is an incredibly difficult feat, as a fair few aren't actually available in any of the games, only being given away at various Nintendo events.

My advice is to use the Wi-Fi trading system and use your diplomatic skills to negotiate a deal with someone on here for the Pokemon that you can't get. If you were to get Black, then I'd happily help you whenever possible, because I have White. Whatever you choose, good luck!

i dont know if i want to catch all of them, i just wanna know id be able to get some of the pokemon im familiar with eventually without having to buy the old games
