Hello, it's me, your friendly Xilfer12three, welcome to the Pleistocene period, at the end of the last Ice Age. When very many carnivorous predators died out, it was a time of mass extinction for carnivores and their prey.
Story:
It is a time of terror for three different species of animal, the Dire Wolf, the Sabertooth Cat and the Short-faced bear. They are all desperate for survival, trying to fend each other off to do so. The Dire Wolves catch their prey skillfully but are often warded off by the Short-faced bear, who is a scavenger trying to make his own with the lossage of prey. Bison, horse and even deer are dissapearing. The Saber tooth cat catches its prey also, but is warded off by the bear and sometimes the wolves. In addition the climate and the humans are closing in. It is unknown how much longer the species will survive, extinction seems almost inevitable.
You:
Are either a Short-faced bear, trying to make your own in the world. A Saber-Tooth Cat, living in your pride and hunting to survive. Or a Dire Wolf, struggling to feed the pack and yourself. You all have your upsides and downsides, strong jaws, heavy weight etc. And are struggling to survive, this will be your life in the pack/pride/on your own.
Rules:
-This RP is rated PG 16 because it will contain violence, blood and possible romance. It is your life as your species so you can roam and do however you want, however, if you are in a pack you must do as the leader tells you when he says so. Doing things like "running away from the pack" is too dramatic and illogical, so please try to think realistically.
-Romance is allowed, just nothing too graphic.
-I know this invloves savage hunting so a gore is inevitable, but try to refrain more than one mention of it in your post.
-You start off as a cub of your species. The story goes as you grow up. You can do small time skips, like a day or two, but not a whole week.
- For bears, you should usually go for the romantic thing in spring, wich would be most logical due to the breeding season being on.
- NO INTER-SPECIES ROMANCE WILL BE TOLERATED.
-When two Player Characters have babies, there will be Cub spots open, anybody can sign up to occupy these Cub Spots, they will play as the Cub of the Player characters who had the cub. Everytime a cub space is available i will notify on this post. The only difference beetween simply signing up and occupying a cub space is that your parents are Player characters. If you signed up normally your parents would be NPCs controlled by you. Occupying a cub space is a good way to interact with other players.

Name: Saber-Tooth Cat (Smilodon Fatalis)
Lifestyle: Lives in a pride, hunts and feeds the elderly and wounded.
Hunting Techniques: Hunter, Hunts solitary sometimes, sometimes not. Likes to sneak up on its prey rather than chasing it, and topples it by surprise, then sinks its teeth into the throat for an instantanious kill. Must eat quickly before Short-faced Bear or large group of Dire Wolves arrive. NEVER SHAKES HEAD WHILE BITING PREY, or its saber-teeth might break.
Hunts: Bison, Deer, Horse, baby mammoth (adult mammoth if already immobile)
Skills: Knife-like teeth made for slicing prey's vitals in throat, very muscular body and decent speed.
Main Enemy: Short-faced Bear.
Cub Behavior: Cubs will stay in pride until they reach adulthood, being fed off meat and milk. Male cubs will be excluded from the pride at adulthood and must find another pride with an open space to join. EXCEPT if the male cub is the son of the leader of the pride. If so, he will take over the pride at adulthood.

Name: Short Faced Bears (or 1.Bulldog bears 2.Artocdus Simus)
Lifestyle: Lives solitary. Will roam around and look for prey.
Hunting Techniques: Scavenger, mostly. Follows other animals until they bring their prey down and then intimidate them away with large body structure and eat caught prey. Will SOMETIMES hunt independantly.
Hunts: Bison, Mammoth, sometimes Deer and Horse. Will sometimes also take on Giant ground sloths.
Skills: Great sense of smell, can smell food on a six mile radius. Extreme weight and awsome size. Great powerfull muscles and a resistant Jaw.
Main Enemy: Humans. Who may sneak up and try to steal prey that the bear caught/scavenged.
Cub Behavior: Cubs will stay with mother until old enough to roam on own. Feed off milk and sometimes fresh kill when old enough to do so.
Landscape:
Although it used to be a lush forest before. The area where this will be taking place is a sort of...smaller forest shall we say. It's slowly turning into a vast desert-like area due to catastrophic climate changes. Animals have dubbed their homeland "Filo Forest" The landscape has very many trees but is getting warmer. It also has some green fields where Bison tend to gather. The biggest of these fields is visited often by all three species. It is called Big Field.
The territory belonging to the Saber-tooth cat's pride is called Saber field. It has trees nearby it and is big enough for the pride, it is a middle-sized field. The terriory for the Wolf pack is named Sharp Cliff. It is a rocky part of territory, a cliff situated not far from it. The pack of about 30 wolves lives here.

Personality: Likes to play with his littermates, Selena and Megan. He has a carefree personality, but he knows the responibility he will have as an adult. He is very playfull and fun, but can be serious and hard when he wants too. He would give his life to protect the pride and his family. He is loyal. But he absolutely hates Bears, because one killed the fourth of his littermates when it was just a cub. Although he knows he shouldn't mess with bears without backup.
Appearance: Sol has a birthmark that is passed down his family in every generation. Although is changes shape with each generation. It is in the shape of a saber-tooth. Aside from that, he is a normal Saber-tooth cat cub.
Family: Mother: Ella Ifo.
Father: Romulance Ifo.
Sisters: Megan and Selena Ifo.
Brother: Kit Ifo (deceased)
