Uhm, lets point out this scene from the Hoenn region. This just shows how much the anime just does not care when they get dubbed by 4kids.

Shiftry sprays a blue powder that puts Nurse Joy to sleep.
    Brock: ITS USING STUNSPOREEEEEEEEEE!111
    Ash: OH NOEZZZZZZZZZ.
    Pikachu: HAWTTT DAWMMMMNNNNN.

The anime slips up alot, i could also point out the time when Ash punched Pikachu in the face, or the part where Pikachu touched Ashes mums breasts... but i think i wont go there.

Pokémon is now continously stuck in the same loop.

    1. Pikachu fries a bike, Ash meets a completely clueless girl. (I miss Misty because she rocked)
    2. Ash captures a bunch of sucky Pokémon which he is NOT going to evolve.
    3. Ash loses to a gym then "learns" something from the experience. Goes to train, goes back and wins gym.
    4. Ash sees a legendary Pokémon and is yet too lame to capture it.

Lets face it guys, Ash will never obtain any uber Pokémon such as Dragon or Psychic types. We will never see Ash with a Ralts, Dratini or Bagon. Pokémon is on a continous cycle and it will stick to that cycle just to annoy us some more. 4kids suck at dubbing anime also with their Voltorb screeching "ELECTROD3333!1" etc.

Pikachu is the only good character, Ash is made of pure utter failure.

That may be your opinion...but I really don't think it is an epic failure...srry

I don't have any problems with the dub and the new voices aren't as bad as everyone says they are.

Why has this got "dubbing" in the title when it's just general annoyances about a few of the anime's storylines? I was all ready to go on about the BGM...aww...

Anyway, Ash's Pokemon are evolving now and have been since AG. Ash is reusing the spinning tactic he learned at the 1st gym and the ice Aqua Jet both to win battles. Had this been any other series they would've been forgotten right after he had used them to win one battle. Pikachu frying the bike all the time is probably supposed to be funny.

    1. Pikachu fries a bike, Ash meets a completely clueless girl. (I miss Misty because she rocked)
Dawn knew exactly what she wanted to do though. How is that clueless? She went out and tried to capture the first pokémon she saw.

    2. Ash captures a bunch of sucky Pokémon which he is NOT going to evolve.
Ash had a lot of evolved pokémon in terms of Hoenn and Sinnoh. Sceptile, Glalie, Swellow, Staravia, etc.
    3. Ash loses to a gym then "learns" something from the experience. Goes to train, goes back and wins gym.
Did you miss Kanto, Johto, and some Hoenn? Many of these gyms he just blew past them on his first try.
    4. Ash sees a legendary Pokémon and is yet too lame to capture it.
Why do people want this to happen? If he does capture any legendary pokémon, he would just blast through most gyms. Then people will start complaining about how he's winning them too easily.

It's funny because Satoshi has pokémon that can be the evolved stages of most pokémon you listed.

But what does 4Kids have to do with all of this? About 2 years after they lost the rights to Pokémon and people are still complaining on how they still dubbed Pokémon? Some people are just living in the past. Just get over it. >.>

I have to agree...pkmn is the way it is now not like in the past...things need to be changed and ppl need to realize that...if not then, trust me more complaints would have been done years ago...ppl have to just get over it and understand the company does whatever need to be done.....

once they get the money they need they will continue...and obviously you like the new episodes and such or else you wouldn't be watching them...

The topic and the post seem to be two different topics for the most part.
Although I do agree, 4kids did screw things up once and a while by calling Growlithe an Arcanine, or calling Scyther an Alakazam in the first movie, etc...

The only dubbing complaint I have nowadays is the voice actors. But the only thing I'm going to complain about on that is that I wish they would have tried to imitate the character's original voice actors a little better.
Team Rocket still sounds a little bit like themselves, and at certain times Ash sounds somewhat normal..
But I think Brock's voice got way too deep.

It almost doesn't feel like they're the same characters.
But again, that's about my only complaint on that.
I'm going to try and watch some D/P episodes and give the voice actors a chance, however.

I did watch Malice in Wonderland last night, and I was pleasently amused... :)

i agree wit most ppl the dub aint bad. yes it is a bit of an endless loop but then again so are the games. besides as much as we all want to see ash get a tyranitar or a dragonite... really... the reason he has small pokemon is because it gives the writers more to wrk with if hes lugging giant pokemon all ovr the place then where does his strategy go? hows team rocket gonna steal his pokemon? its jst ash's style. if u look closely in the show... everyone has their own style their own stategy. ash's jst happens to be use small but powerful pokemon. as for the voices always thought they did really well... now the voice actor change in battle fronteir was prety dramatic for every character but eventually ppl got used to it. u cant do much about it and i still enjoy the show

    Pikachu: HAWTTT DAWMMMMNNNNN.

Oh man, that one part made me laugh so hard. xDDDD

But I don't see how the anime is repetitive. I always expect something new when I'm watching.

Well yeah, but at least we get to see all this stuff happen in a whole new region! And it's never the exact same story, the writers add a nice twist.

It's funny because Satoshi has pokémon that can be the evolved stages of most pokémon you listed.

Pokémon is repetative and Ash has never had a Dratini, Ralts or Bagon like i stated. If Ash had a Dragonite, Gardevoir or Salamence he wouldnt be so lame. You said he had some of this list? Proof? Serebii and other sites with profiles clearly states otherwise on your statement.

Kanto/Johto was much better, i don't think its worth bothering with Hoenn or Sinnoh. Yeah, Ash got a good evolutionary team in Hoenn but not in Sinnoh like you said. Look at his Buizel, Grotle, Pikachu, Staravia, Chimchar, etc. Im sure they are at a high enough level to evolve but they just dont.

Its like Ash in Kanto when he had a Bulbasaur, Squirtle, etc and yet they didn't evolve because hes a failure. Also, you said Ash blew past his gyms but look at Kanto when he lost to Brock, Hoenn against Max's father (Although it was unofficial), Sinnoh against that rock dude whos name i dont remember.

The anime just gets boring after a while with Team Rocket always stealing Pikachu then they just lose it or they steal other Pokémon then go back to steal Pikachu and lose so they get nothing from sheer greediness... seriously, Team Rocket never learns and Giovanni must be completely idiotic to keep paying them after not recieving a single Pokémon from them in what? 5 years?

Right, so what you're saying is that Pokemon sucks? Well no.

I don't think every Pokemon trainer in the Pokemon World that's strong had a Ralts, Dratini or a Bagon. What if you get one and you don't know how to use it porperly? Pokemon is about catching the Pokemon that you have a bond with and training to their utmost potential.

What you're saying about evolving is irrelevant to the actual Pokemon because the anime goes more in-depth into Pokemon and shows how they feel and how they ae different from one another, I really don't think Ash would force any of his Pokemon to evolve because he doesn't do that kind of thing, he lets his own Pokemon evolve in their own time and in any way they want.

Basicly what you're trying to say is that any trainer who doesn't evolve his Pokemon is a failure? You're wrong, my friend because loads of Pokemon have their own traits before evolving.
Look at Ash's Grotle for example, when it was a Turtwig he was exemplary fast and that suprised most people but when he evolved his speed dropped (I'm not saying he's not good because Grotle is now a really powerful Pokemon). So evolution is'nt that important to Pokemon and if you say that no trainer can be good without evolving the you, my friend are Shallow-minded.

Look, gyms are there for a reason. To test trainers' strength. If you look down at a trainer for losing at a gym, then you're an idiot because all trainers will lose at a gym eventually because they are supposed to be there for a reason.

Team Rocket is meant to be there as a joke, they can be annoying but in the end I find their antics quite funny and when the going get's though they can be quite helpful to Ash and the rest.

I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just saying that Pokemon is a lot more in-depth that you thing and if you take a little time to see what the Pokemon and Trainers are doing then you'll understand it a lot more.

Please don't be like Paul and be a jerk that everyone hates.

I made a typo. I meant beat not be. He has pokémon that can beat some of the pokémon you mentioned. Mainly Glalie.

If anything wasn't worth bothering with, it would be Kanto and Johto. There were many things that they had that are these days not found that often.

Its like Ash in Kanto when he had a Bulbasaur, Squirtle, etc and yet they didn't evolve because hes a failure. He blew past Misty (Don't deny he wouldn't have won.), Koga, Team Rocket (He battled them for the badge even if Giovannin never said them to battle people for badges.), Falkner, Bugsy, Morty, Chuck, Jasmine, Pryce I believe, Roxanne, Norman (In a full battle.), Tate and Liza, Winona, Juan, Gardenia (in an official battle.), and Wake. Some are argueable, maybe 2 or 3 but that still ranges from 14 to 16 of 25 Gym Leaders (70%-80%). I didn't add some questionable ones such as Erika and Whitney. Also, these are gym battles that occured in the dub already.

5 years?
To be fair, they sent him a Yanma that quickly evolved into a Yanmega.

    4kids did an excellent job.

    4kids did an excellent job.

    "Which Pokémon evolves into Seviparghhhh"
Okay trainers, if you chose Arbok you were right! L0L.

    4kids just messed everything up.

I remember an episode back when Ash was competing in the Indigo League: Team Rocket were up to their usual Pokemon-stealing ways when two officer Jennys passed by with a Growlithe.
Jenny 1: "Oh no, it's Team Rocket! They must be up to no good!"
    Jenny 2: "Arcanine, Fire Blast!"

It's been plaguing me for years.

Pikachu is the only good character, Ash is made of pure utter failure.

I don't like this "loop" you are talking about.

    1. If you're talking about May or Dawn as clueless girls, you're wrong. May said she wants to travel around the world, and Dawn wants to be a coordinator. They're not completely clueless.

    2. Sucky? Look at Treecko! It evolved from its base form to Sceptile, and you call THAT sucky? Man, this kind of post is unbelievable... I've never seen such post appear in my whole life...

    3. Why can't Ash win in every gym battle in his first try? He's a human, you have to expect faults from him. He is the image of human weakness, and confidence, and... er... I don't know.

4.Do you think it's so easy to catch a Legendary? Legendaries are not like normal Pokemon, they won't let normal mortals - with Ash as an exception - catch them so easily. Also, with a legendary in their team, Ash would pwn the gyms and win the league easily. This is not fun.

What is this utter failure you're talking about? The anime is getting a bit old, I guess, but why do I still get interested in it? It's because Pokemon symbolizes human weakness, again, and that it totally fits our real life.

Do you think you're going to get straight 'A's in school that easily? No! That's because you're a human too. Humans has faults and limits at first, but if we learn, we can be a better person. If you get a brain like Albert Einstein or Isaac Newton when you were born, you will find life very, very boring.

Like again, Ash is not a failure like you said. If he was so uber-strong, like you said, we wouldn't be here watching the show, and you wouldn't too. Humans are bound to have weaknesses and strong points. Ash has interpreted these weaknesses. Humans have to undergo hardships before they grow stronger.

Team Rocket might be a little annoying, but they're not that useless. Firstly, they stand for comical relief, and secondly, they stand for "justice in evil". If Team Rocket were all-evil, we would not have loved the show like we do now, and some might even quit the Pokemon world just because for that.

Yes, Team Rocket is useless, but then, this is a kids show, and kids might enjoy this show just because for them. And they could've given up after so many failures. But no, they still stand. Giovanni must be honoured to have such devoted workers. Team Rocket has given us a very good moral: Not to give up.

So stop saying that Ash is a total failure, and it applies for Team Rocket too. Without them, Pokemon is utterly crushed.

I don't have any problems with the dub and the new voices aren't as bad as everyone says they are.

not that bad? surely you jest!

james: sounds like he has a cold
jesse: sounds like a soccer mom
meowth: sounds like he has sore throat

ash: sounds like a moron (bigger then before)
dawn:sounds good because she never had her voice changed
    may: sounded like a moron
max: sounded like he had a stuffy nose
brock: is ok but i still like his old voice way better
    pikachu:sounds fine

    nurse joy: just no...
    officer jenny: just no......

like 90% of the voice work is an utter failure now. not to mention changing jesse's hair color, the series background music ect. though DP is getting back to the slap stick humour of seasons 1-4.
