I'm so sorry if this isn't in the right thread, I've already spent like 10+ minutes searching for the right one because I've never used forums before besides Googling for help and getting an answer in a forum that's already been asked and posted.
I have an event in an INCREDIBLY basic Pokémon Essentials fan game that's very similar to the rival introduction one on route 3 of the preset routes and towns, obviously personalized to my story. The rocket member is supposed to run off (I just have him move through trees to the side so he's out of sight once the character catches up) and his NPC graphic is supposed to stay gone, however when I enter a house in that town and then exit again (a house that isn't mine, as this event triggers directly in front of the player house) the graphic for the rocket member is back standing in front of the lab door he's originally trying to break into. I cannot interact with him, he's just there. The event does not trigger anymore, I have the control switch A in its separate page and blah blah blah but I've been reading about parallel processes and auto run stuff messing things up and ALL these issues (I've fixed all but this one, even if I had to completely block off the main characters little sisters room because you couldn't walk around in it) began happening after I was trying (and failing) to reset my home point for starting over before reaching the first PC. I found some articles and forums from 2013 and those were very outdated and I just know I messed something up in the metadata txt file when trying to find the "home" line that's no longer present in the txt format and only accessible from the in game debug menu.
I've been reading forums all day so I'm sorry if this is long and too detailed I tried to include everything I think might help a more intelligent person than me, as this is the most basic of events and switches and I'm failing .-.
