This is just a idea for a Sideshow ROM hack. Being short, this hack aims to bring new features from the Generation IV to our beloved Generation III.

    Main Features
    • Open world Kanto storyline
    • Physical/Special/Status
    • Generation IV Learnset for all Pokémon
    • Cross-generation evolutions
    • 415 Pokémon to catch
    • Day/Night Wild Pokémon changes (Maybe)
    • IV/EV to improve all gym leaders performance (Maybe)
    • 13 new wild Pokémon from Generation II in the Sevii Islands
    • 60 new wild Pokémon from Generation III in a part of Hoenn that I plan to insert (Maybe)
    • Starters and Legendary Pokémon from Gen II and III will probably be gifts or wild battles, since I have no plans to insert them as I would like to
I'm not sure, but maybe I will add Johto Pokémon in Kanto (to give the player new options) and leave the Sevii Islands with the Hoenn 'mons.

    Side Features
    • Gen V shiny rates (1/4092 or 1/1365 with Shiny Charm)
    • Wild Double Battles (Maybe)
    • Move the Daycare from Fourth Island to the route below Cerulean
    • Destiny Knot and Power Items to make your breeding/training more pleasant
    • National Dex at the start
    • Running Shoes indoors
    • Ability field effects (at least Flame Body)
    • New descriptions from Gen IV for the Pokédex, Items, Moves and Abilities
    • Nature boosts in the Summary Screen
    • D/P/P Font Style
    • D/P/P Tilesets, HP Bars, Text Boxes, Summary and Party Screen, etc... (Maybe)
    • Some bugfixes (Game Freak Presents, Roamings IV, etc...)

    List of Cross-Generation Pokémon Evolutions
    Spoiler:

    New Abilities
    • All new abilities from Generation IV that I may need

    New Moves
    • All new moves introduced in the Generation IV

    New Items
    Spoiler:

My personal comments about some of these features
    1. Why open world?
R: Why not? People who plays that kind of hack probably aren't interest in the unchanged storyline.

    2. Why Generation IV instead of V or VII?
R: I don't like some features and Pokémon from Gen V and above.

    3. Do you think that you can fully insert all those new moves and abilities?
R: I can, but they probably won't work exactly as they should, that's inevitable.

    4. How about the other Generation IV Pokémon?
R: This hack won't feature any new Pokémon besides the new evolutions.
