Pokémon Spectrum!
(Base rom: Ruby)
(Base rom: Ruby)
INTRODUCTION: My name is Nikko.Ideator. I haven't been active for months and I just went and saw my old hack, GlobalEarth. Then I was all "what the crap was I thinking, I'm never gonna accomplish this!" So then I decided, since I have a whole bunch of ideas for new Pokémon, I'd try my hand at a game that's more "official". It will have a mix of new and old Pokémon, so this hack is definately gonna be worth checking out once I can get it going.
STORY: You are a young boy/girl that lives with their grandmother in Honeydew Village, on Green Island of the Spectrum Islands region. Nothing really ever happens where you live, so you and your friend are shocked when you wake up and hear a *image removed*flying overhead.
A little afterwards, the two go to meet their friend, Lizzy, daughter of the famous Professor Sicamore, out by "The Rocks", to hang out while her dad looks for a Rampardos, which he swore he saw earlier. However, the three of you make an interesting discovery, a mud pit with three rocks, a red one that shines like lava, a blue one that shines like a crystal lake, and a green one with traces of leaves in it.
Once you show them to the professor, he gets excited and uses them to test his new invention, "The Fossil Reviver". It works, and three Pokémon none of you have ever seen before come out of the device.
Each of you take a Pokémon, and go on an exciting quest across Spectrum to collect the eight badges, see every Pokémon, and defeat the evil DemoliCo Incorporated, an evil construction company bent on destroying the legendary Pokémon sanctuary and build a nuclear power plant! Do you have what it takes to be the ultimate Pokémon master?
Features:
-New island region, the Spectrum Islands!
-400 Pokémon, 130 which are old, and 270 which are brand new!
-Fossil starters!
-A whole new tileset!
-New evil team, a construction company that tries to blow up major landmarks across the region!
-Probably new music and new cries!
-I know there's a way to put Pokémon animations in roms now, so as soon as I can find the video that explains it, I'll put it in LOL.
-More as soon as I can think of something!
Towns/Routes/Dungeons:
Green Island
-Honeydew Village: Your quiet hometown, includes your house, your friend's house, Lizzy's house, and a lab.
-The Rocks (North of Honeydew): A small rocky area where a Rampardos is found. The fossils that are revived into the starters are found here.
-Route 501 (South of Honeydew): A small foresty route with some cliffs.
-Brasilia Town: A town where everyone's obsessed with soccer. There's a sheep farm somewhere in town.
-Route 502: A small wet route with a couple of trainers. It's very short and leads to Kurai Tunnel.
-Kurai Tunnel: A traffic jam is taking place due to DemoliCo workers blowing a huge rock in the middle of the road, so you have to go around the long way.
-Route 502 (again): The upper part of the route, which is the exit of Kurai Tunnel.
-Evergreen City: As soon as you get to Evergreen to challenge the first gym leader, a flying type trainer, you get there realizing all the Pokémon have ran away from their trainers due to the explosion from Kurai Tunnel. Find them all for their trainers to challenge the gym.
-Route 503: At the bottom of the map, you meet Yin, a huckling guy who trains a Lapras to take you across the river to get to the other side.
-Applegrove City: The sweet-smelling orchard town of Applegrove was founded by a man named Mr. Applegrove, a cousin of a certain mayor of a certain town in Johto. However, his nephew has gotten lost somewhere in Applegrove orchard, so you need to go find him.
-Applegrove Orchard: Go through the maze of trainers and Pokémon to find Mr. Applegrove's nephew being attacked by a Combusken at the end of the maze. Defeat it and escort the little kid home. The battle your friend, who picked the started who's strong against yours.
-The Port at Applegrove: Yin's brother, Yang, is also a Lapras trainer, can take you to three other islands, until you get surf later in the game, the he dissapears. There are some optional trainer battles on the beach.
The End. I'll post the towns on Red Island if you guys like it.
