Welcome to Pokémon Starbound! Starbound is a game created after seeing Lillie's quest in Sun and Moon. It does center around trying to get a Pokémon home, but instead of a side character doing it, you are the protector and Guardian of this mysterious Pokémon. On your journey, you'll have many, many difficult choices to make, everything from between continuing to train Pokémon, or whether or not give your partner up.

I put this game as an Idea thread is only due to the fact development is in very, very early stages. I mean like, there's not even finalized concept art stages. I have the plot planned out, and I also have the major characters/organizations ready.

As a development leader, I can hear the shouts of 'This is Sun and Moon as a free game!', and to solve this, as admittedly, it is pretty inspired by Nebby in Sun and Moon, Starbound is a much, much darker game. You happen to be the child of pretty well-known figures, and well, there's some people that will stop at nothing to get to your parents. The identity of your parents is not going to be revealed as of yet, but it is characters we've seen before in canon Pokémon games. So far, the only people who will know is members of the development team. Below is some general game information.

    Main Characters
Hero/Heroine- The main character is the son/daughter of two very prominent figures of the Pokémon world, often leaving them and their brother as a target. For some reason, after a mysterious Pokémon was found crash-landed in their backyard, the protagonist became deeply connected to it, wanting to help it find its way to its home, becoming a trainer as their parents did to help their partner home at any cost.
Icarus- Icarus is the main character's (half) brother, hailing from their shared Father and a random one night stand. Their Father stepped up to the responsibility, and stayed with Icarus' mother until she tragically died. Feeling detached from his family and the protagonist, Icarus often storms off angrily from his step-mother, even going as far as to yell and hit at her when he was smaller and younger. The name Icarus has much to do with this character's arc...

    Organizations
The Pokémon League- Our main characters grew up knowing much of the Pokémon League, due to their parents being involved with the league. Generally considered the 'Good Guys', members of the League are trusted with our main character and brother often. After knowing the kids since their births, the members of the Pokémon League treat the children like their own, and will stop at nothing to protect them. When our Hero/Heroine goes missing along with the precious Pokémon and Icarus, the members go into full swing.
Team Aurum- Team Aurum is the scientific team, led by a scientist hailing from a different region. They perform all sorts of experiments, ranging from harmless about what berries Pokémon prefer, to the sinister. Curious about the mysterious partner Pokémon of the hero/heroine, they've often tried to buy the Pokémon from the parents, getting a laugh and a go away, please, this is the fourth time this week if you show up one more time I'll send you packing with a Pokémon attack. In order to get their hands on the Pokémon, they're willing to go to any lengths.
Team Argentum- Team Argentum is the sadistic brain child of Team Aurum, who claims to have no real association with Argentum. They genetically modify Pokémon to force them to change types, or even move sets, without really changing the overall appearance. They too want to get their hands on the hero/heroine's Pokémon, but for a very different reason. Generally they work undercover, publishing their work under a false science name, Gene-I-Tech.
