    POKÉMON STEEL WORLD
    Storyline
Pokémon Steel World is a brand new Pokémon adventure taking place in an alternate future, where the majority of Pokémon have become robots or cyborgs. As the child of a famous actor, earn a Pokémon from him and go through the gym challenge while travelling through all sorts of dungeons and uncovering various secrets about the huge Tetso region's history!

Pokémon Steel World is a hack of the pokecrystal decomp.
    Features
    1. A roster of 251 Pokémon, including roughly 189 Fakémon, cyborg regional variants and a few Pokémon returning with only balance changes. Every Pokémon will be obtainable without trading in a single playthrough!
    2. The Physical/Special split, and consequently an adjusted set of 254 moves, featuring moves from later generations such as Power Gem and Aura Sphere.
    3. Adjusted type chart; no Fairy type, but Steel no longer resists Ghost and Dark and is now weak to Toxic, Ice now resists Water, Rock is no longer weak to Ground and Ghost no longer resists Bug.
    4. The formula that determinates Pokémon gender has been altered to no longer result in female Pokémon being weaker than male ones.
    5. Running shoes are implemented, allowing one to more easily explore an overworld with various improvements such as expanded tilesets.
    6. Speaking of the overworld, Tetso is so big it needs two full-size region maps!
    7. Every Pokémon has its own menu icon instead of using generic icons, granting them more individuality.
    8. You get experience when catching Pokémon in order to encourage you to catch a lot of them.
    What are you looking for?
I'm glad you asked! I am looking for volunteers for the following jobs:
    1. Composers - The most urgent work. I have no idea or experience with composing whatsoever which means I am currently forced to rely on the tracks ingame. This is obviously not ideal and I would rather have a custom soundtrack, so if you are willing to volunteer and know how to make music for Pokémon Crystal, your contributions would be greatly appreciated.
    2. Artists - I can make art, but I feel that its quality, particularly when it comes to non-sprite art, is subobtimal. Therefore, I wouldn't mind the volunteer help of artists to help improve the game's presentation.
    3. Coders - As it stands, I should be able to code the entire game by myself. However, the assistance of more experienced coders would allow me to add more complex features and therefore make the game better.
    4. Mappers - So far, I think I'm pretty good at mapping. But I absolutely wouldn't complain if I had the assistance of more experienced mappers. Heavy bonus points if you can make custom tiles.
    5. Spriters - I can make my own sprites, but spriting assistance would be appreciated, particularly when it comes to trainers and miscellaneous assets like footprints and menu icons. I will still handle the design of all Pokémon as well as the concepts of all trainers.
    6. Beta Testers - I've got a couple slots open for beta testers. Play the game early and find bugs, balance flaws and other oversights!
    7. If you think you can contribute to the game in any other way, chances are strong that I'd appreciate it. Just remember that I'm only taking volunteer work.
I am currently making everything by myself, and will continue to work on everything that I don't end up recruiting someone for.

Joining the team will give you exclusive access to spoilers and early builds.
I'm intrigued, how do I join?
Pokémon Steel World has a Discord for people who wish to talk about the game with other people and follow the game's updates. It's also where you go if you want to help with the game's development, and it contains a set "wiki" channels with information on things like the Pokémon, their stats and locations.
