I'm sure you here are many stories bout Pokémon about Red's or Ash's journeys but this is the first time I write a story in English, so I want to know what you guys think of it. I'm sure there are many errors too but I hope you understand because I'm begining. And if you don't like the story... it's alright ^^
I also always wanted a story where Ash gets the Kanto Pokémon I like, so I decided to make my own.
So here it is:
Ash Ketchum is a boy from Pallet Town who always dreamed to become a Pokémon Master. To become one he needs to catch and train small creatures known as Pocket Monsters or Pokémon for short. This creatures possess fantastic powers divided by types like grass, fire or water. And it is said that thre are one hundred and fifty, but there can be more.
The sun rises and the boy wakes up. He goes to the washroom and washes his face. Then he moves to the kitchen and eats his breakfast with his mother. After eating everything he takes out his pajama and wears his clothes. He wears a red-white hat on his black hair, white t-shirt and a red jacket. His pants are blue and uses red-white shoes. He meets again his mom.
"So honey, today is the great day, isn't it?"
"Yes mom, finally I will become a Pokémon Trainer."
"You have become ten, this means you will go in a great journey, it will not be the same without you here."
"Mom I will miss you too, but I really want to go in this adventure."
"I understand."
Later, he goes to professor Oaks laboratory. Professor Oak studies Pokémon and is the one who will give Ash his first Pokémon. He arrives before the building and knocks the door, but no one answers. He opens the door and sees a large hall room with stairs in the middle.
"Hello? Is someone here? I came to get my Pokémon"
"Yes we know, but grandpa isn't here yet."
Ash, already in the room, turns around and sees Gary, his long-time friend. Ultimately he is being annoying with his arrogant speeches about being already the best trainer of all, because he is the grandson of the professor and having studied everything about Pokémon. Gary has brown spiky hair and uses a a blue shirt. His pants are black, and his shoes blue-black.
"Where is he?"
"I don't know, grandpa never says where he goes, but honestly, you should forget about your Pokémon."
"Why's that?"
"Because unfortunately for you I will get my Pokémon too, which means you will never be the best Pokémon Trainer in the world."
Ash prefers to ignore that statement and to go out to search for the professor.
"I will go to your home, maybe the professor is there."
Gary's smile disappeared. Ash knows that Daisy, Gary's sister is lives there and that he doesn't likes that his sister and Ash and Daisy talks to each other.
"Do whatever you want."

And saying that he starts moving, disappearing from from Gary's sight.
Arriving at his "annoying friend's" house, he knocks the door. A girl with a green dress and a green headband opens it..
"Hallo Ash how are you?"
Ash smiles.
"I'm good Daisy, how are you."
Daisy has the same hair and eye color as her brother.
"I'm fine, thanks to ask."
"Did you see Professor Oak?"
"No, I didn't saw grandpa since yesterday."
"Oh ok, then I need to look somewhere else."
"Why the rush? Don't you want to come in and drink some tea with me?"
At first he had hesitate to consider the offer but then Ash changed his mind.
"Well Daisy, please don't be mad at me but I really want to have this Pokémon so we can drink another time, sorry."
Daisy reacts with a smile.
"It's ok, I understand."
"Thank you Daisy I knew you would understand, don't you have any guess where Professor Oak could be?"
Daisy puts a finger in front of her chin.
"Well I don't really know, grandpa normally is always in his lab."
Ash is disappointed
"Ok Daisy, thanks anyway and bye"
"Bye Ash"
And then Daisy closes the door.
"She is very beautiful and kind."
Ash looks to the tree near the house, from where the voice came. He sees a girl sitting on one of the tree's branch. She wears a a green-white dress with a green-white hat, and green-white shoes.
"And you are?
"Well I'm beautiful too, but not so kind."
"I asked your name."
She jumps down from the branch and after landing looks to Ash with a smile.
"Well you don't need to know."
Saying that Ash thought to ignore her and continues to search for the professor. He looks everywhere in Pallet Town, in every house and even asks the Town's people but he isn't anywhere to find.
After searching everywhere, Ash stops to take a rest. The boy doesn't understand, where can he be? He dreamed to be a Pokémon trainer since he saw the first battle in his life on TV, and the Professor normally spends his life in the laboratory. And now in the same day he gets his Pokémon he disappears. Then he looks to the locations outside the town. He can't wait to explore the whole world. He is so anxious he wants to put a foot outside. Which made him think… why don't do it now? What could possible bad happen if he make a step outside the town.
Wanting to experience the feeling to be out of Pallet Town, he goes to one of the two entrances that connects the Town with Route 1. First he hesitates thinking if it was really such a good idea without a Pokémon, but then he decided to put a foot out.
"Hey! Wait! Don't go out."
Ash almost had his feet out when he turns his head and sees Professor Oak approaching him. How did he appear? It seemed like he came from nowhere.
"Ash what are you doing? It's unsafe! Wild Pokémon live there outside."
The boy tries to explain.
"I know professor but today I was supposed to get my first Pokémon and since you didn't showed up I couldn't wait any longer, so I wanted to go to Route 1 because I was curious."
"Oh yes, now I remember. I'm sorry Ash, I have forgotten that today is the day where you will become an official Trainer."
This doesn't surprised the kid. Everyone knows that the professor has a short memory because of his hard work and age.
"Well, come with me, you need your own Pokémon for protection.
The two go to the laboratory. Ash knew that Gary was still there but he was surprised to see the girl he saw on the tree near Daisy's house.
"What are you doing here?
"Getting my first Pokémon, duuh."
"You three follow me."
The professor goes to the stairs in the middle of the room up, arriving in front of the door which he opens with a key. While Gary doesn't cares about the room, the other two are fascinated about all the books they see here. Behind them they see lot's of scientists researching using lots of Computers. In the other side they see three Pokéballs above a table.
"Here are the Pokémon I want to give you, well they are inside the Pokéballs of course."
Professor Oak took one of the three small red-white balls which after clicking on the white button in the middle became bigger.
"Come out"
And a small green Pokémon with a bulb that resembles an onion appears from one of the balls.
"This Pokémon is Bulbasaur, it's a Grass-type Pokémon being very easy to train and…"
"I LOVE IT!!!!"
The girl rushed to the Pokémon.
"I want this Pokémon, please Professor let me have it."
"If the others don't mind, you can have it."
Both of them don't seem to have nothing against it.
"For me she can have it, I would choose a different Pokémon anyway."
"Like Gary, I don't mind."
"Then it is decided, Bulbasaur is yours… ahm sorry but what was your name again?"
"I don't think I need to say you if you forget it. And my name is on the list isn't it?"
"Well that's right."
"But it's better to call me Leaf, since I chosed a Grass-type Pokémon it could be easy to remember."
"That's true, ok Leaf this, Bulbasaur is yours."
Leaf is so happy to have her first Pokémon, that she jumps with Bulbasaur, the Pokémon itself laughing with her.
"So who will be next, yes this Pokémon, I introduce you, Charmander."
And an orange salamander-like Pokémon with a flame burning on top of his tail shows up.
"So who wants this?"
"Well I don't know, can we see the other one?
"Of course Gary"
And Professor Oak opens another Pokéball where also comes a Pokémon out. It resembles a turtle notably with a shell on his back and has light-blue color.
"So who should be? The Fire-type Pokémon Charmander? Or the Water-type Squirtle?"
Both Trainers thinksince it is a tough choice since they are… well, they are Pokémon. Charmander makes one step forward to Ash.
"Hey what is it little boy?"
Professor Oaks knows what the Pokémon wants
"I think Charmander wants to be with you Ash I think it be could a wonderful Partner for you."
Ash finds it strange that Charmander has choosen him since he was to have chosen him too.
"Gary you don't mind if I choose Charmander or do you?"
"Of course not, I was to choose Squirtle anyway, it's a Water-type and Water- types are in advantage against Fire-types."
Squirtle to Gary, Charmander to Ash and Bulbasaur to Leaf. Everyone picked their first Pokémon. All three stand before Professor Oak.
" All of you three now have a Pokémon, now you can begin your journey, I whish you good luck to all."
Ash happy to have finally a Pokémon was on the way to begin his journey as…
"Wait Ash."
Ash turns around, looking to Gary.
"Let's check out our Pokémon."
Ash is surprised by Gary's challenge. "What? A battle? Here?"
"Come on, I'll take you on!"
Ash accepts the challenge.
"Ok, challenge accepted."
Gary smiles and throws Squirtles Pokéball letting the Pokémon out. Ash does the same with Charmander. Professor Oak and Leaf whatch carefully in a safe distant corner.
"Ok Charmander this is our first battle, let's show them what we got."
Charmander looks carefully to Squirtle, which makes the same to his adversary.
"Ash before we begin let me ask you something, do you know your Pokémon attacks?"
Ash looks surprised to Gary. He feels ashamed to not known his Pokémon moves. Charmander turns his head to his new trainer.
"My Squirtles moves are Tackle and Tail Whip, your Charmander knows Scratch and Growl. You should study more. I hope you know at least what this attacks do."
"Shut up, we will win anyway, Charmander use Scratch. "
Charmander runs to squirtle with his hand open, showing his crawls. Gary waits for the attack.
"Squirtle dodge."
In the same time Charmander moves his arm to scratch Squirtle, the turtle Pokémon jumps to the left to escape the attack. Ash and Charmander look surprised.
"Now, Tail Whip"
Squirtle turns around and whips his tail. Charmander distracts himself looking to it, putting his defenses down.
"Tackle"
Squirtles jumps and then hides his head in his shell before slamming Charmander with it. The salamander Pokémon crashes against a wall.
"CHARMANDER!"
Ash sees his Pokémon almost unconscious on the ground, but soon it gets up wanting to continue the battle.
"Tail Whip is an attack that lowers the targets defense, and that's why Tackle made so much damage to your Pokémon. Ash, I know more about Pokémon than you, you don't stand a chance against me."
But Ash doesn't cares for that.
"If you think I will give up you're wrong. Don't forget that it was you who challenged me. Charmander come on, we haven't even begun yet."
After hearing his Trainers voice, the orange Pokémon looked more determined to win. Both Pokémon stand in front of each other preparing for their next move.
"Go Charmander use Scratch again."
Charmander runs again towards his water adversary, having his hand open again. But he failed again because Squirtle was able to dodge that one too.
"Squirtle use Tackle again."
Squirtle repeats the same move and attacks the Fire Pokémon with it. Ash prepares for his next the next attack.
"Use Growl."
The Lizard Pokémon opens his mouth and let's a loud cry that distorts the air. His opponent was approaching with a great speed, but the more Growl hit him, the slower Tackle became with charmander catching Squirtle's shell.
With Gary surprised, Professor Oak is impressed.
"Growl lowers the targets attack, which means that Tackle made less damage, and in this case almost none. It's incredible to see that Charmander was able to catch Squirtle using it too."
"Professor those two seem to have qualities."
"Yes Leaf seems like this time Kanto will have Trainers with Potential, you three have chosen those Pokémon and coincident or not, while I didn't wanted to interfare on your choices, you choosed the ones that I thought fits to you all."
Leaf smiles. The same did Ash. He knows that since Squirtle can't get free from Charmanders claws, it is his chance to finally attack. Gary looks serious.
"Charmander use Scratch."
Charmander scratched Squirtles face.
"Scratch him again."
And another Scratch. Gary just stands still and doesn't command his Pokémon anything, which Ash doesn't understands. Does he care for his Pokémon? Charmander Scratches his opponent again. But then Gary seems to have enough.
"Squirtle use Tackle"
The blue Pokémon hides again his head and slams himself towads Charmander. The Lizard freed the Turtle after getting hit against the face. Both Pokémon take deep breath.
"Professor"
"Yes, Leaf both Pokémon are exhausted and the next move may decide this battle."
"Ok Squirtle let's finish this run to Chamander."
Just as his Trainer ordered, the Water Pokémon moves his legs to attack.
"Charmander do the same."
Both Pokémon run towards each other preparing their last attack.
"Squirtle Tackle"
"Charmander Growl."
Again, he opens his mouth and screams against Squirtle. The turtles attack became weaker.
"Now jump"
Charmander jumps over Squirtle and lands beind him.
"Squirtle use Tail Whip."
Charmander looks to Squirtles whipped tail again.
"Tackle"
"Use Scratch."
Both Pokémon were hit. Charmander was Slammed again, while Squirtle this time didn't had a chance to put his head in his shell, again scratched in the face. Both Pokémon fall on the ground.
"So it's a Draw. Not a bad battle."
The professor walks to the two Trainers.
"You two were excellent, I liked how you two handled both attacks, I'm sure you will be fantastic Trainers in the future."
Ash smiles.
"Thanks professor."
"Squirtle return"
Gary looks to Ash.
"Hmm, I don't know why you are giving false expectations to him grandpa."
Ash didin't liked Gary provoking him again.
"Don't forget we had a draw on our first battle."
"You were lucky, nothing more. The next time we battle, I will crush you. Gramps, Ash, Smell you later."
Walking out from the lab, Gary begins his journey.
Professor Oak gives the two other young trainers a last advice.
"You two take care of your Pokémon. Gary may have more experience than you, but experience alone isn't everything. With heart and will you can accomplish anything with your friends."
The two agree.
"Yes professor."
I almost forgot, here take this.
The professor moved to a table getting two red gadgets.
"This thing here is called a Pokedex, it's my newest invention, I want you to have to collect data of all Pokémon in Kanto, I have already given Gary one."
"Thanks professor, but how we use it?"
"Open it and simply point it in front of the Pokémon."
When they arrive outside, a huge crowd stands before the lab, surprising the two trainers. In the first line are Ash's mother and Daisy.
"Mom, Daisy."
The boy went to them and showed his new Pokémon. Leaf did the same to her parents who were there too.
"What a cute Pokémon you got Ash, I'm a little sad that you will leave me, but any human wants to go to an adventure with Pokémon so I understand, here I have prepared your bag."
"Ash when you come back visit me to drink Tea with me. ok?."
"You can bet I will Daisy, when I become a Pokémon Master I will drink every day with you."
"I'm happy to hear that Ash."
And so Ash begins his journey to become a Pokémon Master, what Pokémon awaits him? Will he accomplish his dream? Or will Gary be ever a step forward to him?

Leaf smiles. The same did Ash. He knows that since Squirtle can't get free from Charmanders claws, it is his chance to finally attack. Gary looks serious.
"Charmander use Scratch."
Charmander scratched Squirtles face.
"Scratch him again."
And another Scratch. Gary just stands still and doesn't command his Pokémon anything, which Ash doesn't understands. Does he care for his Pokémon? Charmander Scratches his opponent again. But then Gary seems to have enough.
"Squirtle use Tackle"
The blue Pokémon hides again his head and slams himself towads Charmander. The Lizard freed the Turtle after getting hit against the face. Both Pokémon take deep breath.
"Professor"
"Yes, Leaf both Pokémon are exhausted and the next move may decide this battle."
"Ok Squirtle let's finish this run to Chamander."
Just as his Trainer ordered, the Water Pokémon moves his legs to attack.
"Charmander do the same."
Both Pokémon run towards each other preparing their last attack.
"Squirtle Tackle"
"Charmander Growl."
Again, he opens his mouth and screams against Squirtle. The turtles attack became weaker.
"Now jump"
Charmander jumps over Squirtle and lands beind him.
"Squirtle use Tail Whip."
Charmander looks to Squirtles whipped tail again.
"Tackle"
"Use Scratch."
Both Pokémon were hit. Charmander was Slammed again, while Squirtle this time didn't had a chance to put his head in his shell, again scratched in the face. Both Pokémon fall on the ground.
"So it's a Draw. Not a bad battle."
The professor walks to the two Trainers.
"You two were excellent, I liked how you two handled both attacks, I'm sure you will be fantastic Trainers in the future."
Ash smiles.
"Thanks professor."
"Squirtle return"
Gary looks to Ash.
"Hmm, I don't know why you are giving false expectations to him grandpa."
Ash didin't liked Gary provoking him again.
"Don't forget we had a draw on our first battle."
"You were lucky, nothing more. The next time we battle, I will crush you. Gramps, Ash, Smell you later."
Walking out from the lab, Gary begins his journey.
Professor Oak gives the two other young trainers a last advice.
"You two take care of your Pokémon. Gary may have more experience than you, but experience alone isn't everything. With heart and will you can accomplish anything with your friends."
The two agree.
"Yes professor."
I almost forgot, here take this.
The professor moved to a table getting two red gadgets.
"This thing here is called a Pokedex, it's my newest invention, I want you to have to collect data of all Pokémon in Kanto, I have already given Gary one."
"Thanks professor, but how we use it?"
"Open it and simply point it in front of the Pokémon."
When they arrive outside, a huge crowd stands before the lab, surprising the two trainers. In the first line are Ash's mother and Daisy.
"Mom, Daisy."
The boy went to them and showed his new Pokémon. Leaf did the same to her parents who were there too.
"What a cute Pokémon you got Ash, I'm a little sad that you will leave me, but any human wants to go to an adventure with Pokémon so I understand, here I have prepared your bag."
"Ash when you come back visit me to drink Tea with me. ok?."
"You can bet I will Daisy, when I become a Pokémon Master I will drink every day with you."
"I'm happy to hear that Ash."
And so Ash begins his journey to become a Pokémon Master, what Pokémon awaits him? Will he accomplish his dream? Or will Gary be ever a step forward to him?
