I often find myself genderize certain Pok?mon to certain sexes because of there look, names and way they are and I am just wondering if any of you do.

    Here are some examples:

    Female
    Igglypuff and its evolutions.
    Chansey and Blissey
    Beautifly
    Smoochum and Jynx
    Espeon
    Skitty and Delcatty
    Roselia
    Cleffa and its evolutions.
    Hoppip and its evolutions.
    Vulpix and Ninetales
    Snubble
    Kirlia and Gardevoir

I find that lots of the Pok?mon that I consider female are in the Fairy egg group.

    Male
    Growlithe
    Arcanine
    Onix
    Steelix
    All Fighting Types
    Geodude and its evolutions.
    Slowpoke and Slowking
    Abra and its evolutions.
    Drowzee and Hypno
    Mr. Mime
    Raichu

    Either
    Mew
    Lugia
    Celebi
    Pichu and Pikachu
    Togepi
    Marill and Azumarill
    Chimeco
    Jirachi

There are more but that's just a few to show you want I mean.

To me, Jynx has always looked like some sort of german prostitute.

XD no lie, that's what I think of when I see nasty jynx lol XD!

I think in the future they should make new Crys for female pokemon/Male pokemon that way they all dont sound the same.

They could also make some slight differences in the looks between males and females.

So you mean differences of voices for different genders, that be nice but in the games you don't hear them too much naturally therefore I doubt they re-haul it all just for that.

As for different looks that be nice but I doubt they do that too course you have to wonder how do Pok?mon know which sex another is when trying to mate. Since they don't sound or look different I guess its by smell.

Nintendo should create a pokemon which looks human ^^ ehehe that would be cool, maybe =3

They have already, its Jynx and Mr. Mime as they look like humans. Albeit they look like strange ones but they still look human.

Yeah, I do that too. Probably because a male Beautifly is kind wierd. And most fighting types are male anyways just so you know ;)

Thier could also be a difference in color.

    Maril male = light blue
    maril Female = Dark Blue

That's an easy way of going about making a difference between males and females though like I said I doubt they re-haul everything to just do that so I doubt they every make there be a definable difference between males and females in there appearance and what not.

I'd have to disagree with some of those. Growlithe don't look exclusively male to me. I mean, when was the last time you saw a feminine-looking pit-bull?? Plus, Espeon never looked feminine to me either. Sure it's slender and graceful, but beyond that I can't really think of how it looks girly.

I think the problem with genderizing pokemon by looks is that many of them are based off of animals. Most animals don't really look too different between males and females, they just have one look. Birds can be different, but many of them just have color differences. I think that some animals may look girly or masculine, but of course, there are both sexes (ie. dogs, tigers, most insects).

But I do sometimes find it hard to imagine what is going through my male Jigglypuff's head (I have one on my LeafGreen game). Perhaps he's thinking, "Why me?! I'll never get a girl with this pink body and high-pitched voice!"

Lol, that's why unless I want to breed I only capture female Jigglypuff as having a male Jigglypuff seem weird.

You seem to be thinking on the same lines as me... I was thinking the same thing... If I were a male jigglypuff I would kill myself...

AHAHAHAHA! I nearly spit out my coke when I read that. Thanks for the laugh. But seriously, you're right.

Although in Super Smash Bros. Melee the jigglypuff looks oddly masculine. Kinda scary.

a male jigglypuff may not have such a high pitched voice, we don't know

i'm wondering what a male jinx looks like lol

There's no such thing as there are only female Jynx which bodes the question of why didn't they just make Jigglypuff only female too.

Like any Pok?mon who are gender specific, in the games to breed you use a Ditto course in the world of Pok?mon who knows.
