Hahaha! I just rented this today. (Has this been out in the U.S. for a while? It was in the 'older' section of my blockbuster, while the Latios/Latias one was in the new section. I think I saw a comercial for it today, ::feels stupid::

    Anyway, OMG@The Ending!
I foresaw it like; a MINUTE before it happened! Sammy was getting ready to go with Celebi, and they were saying all kinds of friends stuff I don't pay attention to (cold hearted as a articuno am i)
And then i started wondering, "wow, wouldn't it be cool if he showed up in the series again! Hm, 40 years is a long time. I bet he's that one gym leader, of the guy that makes pokeballs. Sammy...no one I can remember being named sammy. (Then I thought, maybe it was the guy who drove the Blimp/Raft, but he was WAY to young!)
Then it dawned on me, right as Ash said something about whereever, when ever (I think). Wait a minute, Oak's name is samuel! The Charmeleon, a begginer pokemon. And he's about the right age. And he had that mysteriouse phone call at the begining!
Right now, I'm thinking "omg, woulnd't it be cool if that was true."
Then, I see a phonecall with Oak! (Which looked like stock anime-footage,)

That was such the so coolest twist in a pokemon movie; EVER! Usually they ahve some really anoying twist at the end, like that Latias/(girls name) kiss at the end of the other one. This one was cool.

Anyway! There was also the wind up pokeball (really intresting). Aparently, pokeballs now, and 40 years ago, are much different. (Even though we see in an episode with the pirate ship and the haunter/gastly and the trophy, taht 150 some odd years ago, pokeballs looked *exactly* the same as today.)
I wonder if Oak got the Idea for a Pokedex from ash? (he mentioned it looking at the drawings) Temporal Paradox! A predestination paradox, to be exact.
If oak, an esteemed professor, knew about Bellosom, Suicune, and Celebi back in the 1960's, how come they aren't before Mewtwo? Hm. And even after he became a pokemon proffessor. (and sneasle, and Scizor, and Tyranitar, and stantler...)
Maybe he understood the ideas of time travel, and never to reveal what you know of the future. Hm. Well, off I go to watch it with actors commentary. (Should be intrsting!) I hope this ranting wasn't veiwed as *to* pointless...
