I've played Pokemon ever since Red/Blue/Yellow up to Ruby/Sapphire on the GBA. I've never owned a DS but I've tried to keep up with the new Pokemon and gameplay mechanics through ROM hacks and fan games. Since I've been playing Fan Games, I've always wanted to challenge myself to make one. I've always preferred a tournament style Pokemon League over an Elite 4 so that's what I plan to do with this game. I've put some thought into this and I have a lot of programming experience, although I've never made maps or sprites of any kind before. I am a college student, but I do plan to work on this game a lot over the summer.

I'm planning on using RMXP with Pokemon Essentials. I know I will need help, I am open to accepting all help offered. I know this will be a big task, but I am looking forward to working on the game.

Well, my only comment are that there's not enough in the story to grab anyone's attention. And what's there is literally just about what every game has. You get a starter, and you challenge the region. Kinda overdone.
