Pokemon Adventures: Legacy, PAL for short, is somewhat of an imaginative idea that I came up with while goofing off at school, I make A's so :P. Anyways, PAL is pretty much a Pokemon game completely based on the Pokemon Adventures manga; There's no anime in here what so ever. Below is all the information, the stories, features, etc. For every viewers information, this game will most likely outdo my other idea, Pokemon Mythos, but Mythos's Fakemon, region design, and plot line will be included in this project, so basically, this idea is an add-on to my original game.

    Program:
    RPG Maker XP

    Features:
-A total of IX chapters, not including the bonus chapter, ranging from R/B/G to my own version, Mythos.

-Playability as Red, Green, Blue, and the other protagonists from the PA manga, as well as my own protagonists, Onyx, Turquoise, and Quartz.

-The ability to capture and raise each and every Pokemon as well as my own 202 Fakemon in an unlockable tenth chapter known as the Regional Chapter.

-Alternative to the Bicycle from past games, you'll play as Gold, riding through Johto on his skateboard.

-Split Play. A new feature where at different points in a chapter, you'll be shifted from playing as one character to another. Don't fret, your Pokemon will still be there when you return.

-Love/Friend System. Depending on your choices when certain events occur with the other protagonists as well as NPCs, determines your compatibility in Team Battles.

    Differences from other Pokemon Games:
-Unlike the traditional capture, level-up, and evolve games, PAL takes a unique spin on things. Instead of leveling up your party Pokemon and having them evolve at their traditional levels, certain Pokemon you obtain will not evolve until after a certain point in the game. For example, when playing as Red, your Bulbasaur will not evolve into an
Ivysaur until you reach Celadon City. Why? Because, the Pokemon that the protagonists had in the manga will only evolve at the time they did in the PA volumes. This does not mean you'll be stuck with a level 16 Bulbasaur until you reach Celadon, it just means that until you reach Celadon, your Bulbasaur will not evolve.

-Unique attack learning. Just like the manga, your 'event' Pokemon, the ones you have no choice but to capture/obtain, will learn attacks at odd times. One such example is Red's Bulbasaur. This little guy will have Solar Beam right from the get go. Other Pokemon, like Red's Eevee, will have altered move sets, as in, they will
have different attacks at different points in the story. An example, Red's Eevee will know the attacks Acid Armour and Water Gun as a Vaporeon, but after it evolves into Espeon, it will forget these moves and they will be replaced by Morning Sun, Psychic, and Psych Up.

-Enlarged Move sets. Your Pokemon will have the capability of knowing a total of eight attacks. The enlargement of the move sets takes place as the chapter you are in progresses. In other words, at the beginning of the game, your Pokemon will only be able to know four moves, but after a certain point in the chapter, they'll be able to learn five, then six, then seven, and finally, eight. Also, each Pokemon has an additional two HM slots. These are special move slots made specifically for HMs and, in the case of 'event' Pokemon, are filled automatically.

-Automatic Pokemon switches and trades. During some parts in the game, you will be forced into depositing certain Pokemon or trading them for others. This follows the trades and deposits that take place in the manga, so don't freak. However, this does not mean that you should not raise these Pokemon, as at another time, you may re-obtain them. Trades take place as usual, so make sure that the Pokemon you trade is a decent level because the Pokemon you get in return will be the same level.

-Story shifts. Certain parts of a chapter have you play as one specific hero, but after a certain point, you will be shifted from that hero's story to another hero's that corresponds with the chapter you're playing through. As in, during the Yellow chapter, you'll play a majority of it as Yellow, but after Red is saved, you'll control him for an
amount of time. These Story Shifts will not affect your Pokemon roster, quite the contrary, you'll have the exact same Pokemon at the exact same level as they were before you switched stories.

-Chapter Replay and the Regional Chapter. Unlike the official Pokemon games which simply have you go around collecting badges, battling Trainers, and stopping the plans of an evil group in one play through, PAL has you progress through a total of IX official chapters and the bonus, Regional Chapter. During the nine official chapters,
you will play as the protagonists of the manga in their corresponding chapters. Also, after you complete a chapter, you can replay through it over and over again. The purpose? Each chapter has a group of non-manga related side
quests and goodies to be found, so you may want to run a replay through to find them. Some reveal shocking facts about the characters, others reveal information on Legendary Pokemon, and still, some give you special Pokemon and
items. The Regional Chapter is a bonus chapter that allows the player to play as any of the protagonists, starting in Kanto, to capture and collect data on all 695 Pokemon, Fakemon included, and collect the grand total of 48 Gym Badges! Really, the Regional chapter is just for a storyline free play through to fully take in the beauty and
    Pokemon of the many regions.

    Chapters:

    Chapter I: Pocket Monsters Red/Blue/Green

This is the start off chapter. You begin as Red, a budding Pokemon Trainer from Pallet Town that, after an encounter and loss against the phantom Pokemon Mew, decides to travel Kanto's large area to fill up the PokeDex for Professor Oak and also become the Indigo League Plateau Champion. Along the way, you'll encounter Red's rival, Green, and a mischievous and infatuating thief, Blue. You'll also uncover the illegal activities of Team Rocket and aid the Gym Leaders in defeating them. Story Shifts: Red>Green>Blue>Red

    Chapter II: Pocket Monsters Yellow

After Red becomes the Kanto Indigo Plateau Champion, he takes on many tasks; Completing the PokeDex, becoming a Gym Leader, and putting many a hot headed trainer in their place. But, after Red receives a strange letter of challenge from Bruno of the Elite 4, Red goes missing! Oak finds a horribly injured Pika, Red's Pikachu, whom partners up with a strange cow boy named Yellow, claiming he'll locate and save the missing Red. Little does he know of the dangers he will face. Story Shifts: Yellow>Red>Green>Blue>Yellow

    Chapter III: Pocket Monsters Gold/Silver/Crystal

Starting a new journey in Johto, you play as Gold, a spirited young boy whom is enlisted by Professor Elm to locate his missing Totodile. Gold agrees and is gifted a Cyndaquil, along with his Aipom, and he goes out to find the missing Pokemon. However, upon realizing that Totodile doesn't want to be separated from the person who took it, Silver, Gold decides his new objective; To find and eradicate the activities of a nefarious group who refer to themselves as Neo Team Rocket. Later on, a young girl named Crystal is hired by Oak to complete the PokeDexV2. She accepts and goes about her own quest; To capture and register data on every Pokemon in Johto. Along the way, she meets Yellow, the mysterious Suicune chaser, Euisne, and Gold and Silver. When the three Trainers team up to defeat Mask of Ice, NTR's head, they embark on a perilous journey...Story Shifts: Gold>Silver>Crystal>Gold>Crystal>Gold

    Chapter IV: Pocket Monsters Ruby/Sapphire

Starting anew in the region of Hoenn, you play as Ruby, a prissy boy whose interested in Pokemon Contests. After moving to Hoenn during his 11th birthday, Ruby runs away from home due to an impending fear of disapproval from his father, the Petalburg City Gym Leader, about his love for Pokemon Contests and hatred of Pokemon Battles. Shortly after running away, Ruby meets Sapphire, a wild Female Trainer whose love of Pokemon Battles disgusts Ruby. The two make a wager to see whom can collect the badges/ribbons of their selective Pokemon competitions first within an eight
day period. Thus starting your journey between collecting badges and competing in contests. Along the way, you'll encounter the deluded Team Magma and Team Aqua, two organizations whom want to rule the world in their own ways using the powers of the Land and Sea Pokemon, Groudon and Kyogre respectively. Ruby and Sapphire decide to stop the groups with the aid of the Hoenn Gym Leaders...But, things aren't that simple. Story Shifts: Ruby>Sapphire>Ruby>Sapphire>Ruby

    Chapter V: Pocket Monsters FireRed/LeafGreen

Returning to Kanto, you begin as Blue, the second runner up in the Indigo League, and the third Dex Holder of Kanto. After years of being separated from her family, Blue receives confirmation of her parents location in the Sevii Islands. However, her reunion is cut short when a reformed Team Rocket appear on the islands after a strange Pokemon that fell from space. Battles ensue as Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, and Silver all attempt to take down Team Rocket and put an end to their schemes once and for all. However, just when things are looking better, a terrible occurance incapacitates the five Dex Holders. Blue>Silver>Yellow>Red>Green>Silver>Yellow>Blue>Green>Red

    Chapter VI: Pocket Monsters Emerald*
*This Chapter is liable to be somewhat different from the actual manga due to the incompletion of the chapter. Also,
the Story Shifts are very likely to change.

Following the events in the FireRed/LeafGreen Chapter, you play as Ruby, Sapphire, Gold, and Crystal, the four remaining Dex Holders whom have been charged by Oak to go to the Battle Frontier to save the petrified Red, Blue, Green, Yellow and Silver. Gold and Crystal's original goal is to stop Guile Hideout, a maniacal iron man after the
mirage wishing Pokemon, Jirachi. Ruby and Sapphire's goal is to find a young man named Emerald and watch him progress through the Battle Frontier, and more importantly, to make sure he successfully captures Jirachi. However, things make a turn for the worst as Guile Hideout advances on his plans earlier than expected and somehow takes control of the Battle Salon's Master, Anabel, to use for his own nefarious purposes. When the now five Dex Holders combat Guile Hideout, a terrible plan is put into action by the iron man...Story Shifts:
    Gold>Crystal>Ruby>Sapphire>Emerald>Ruby>Gold>Crystal>Sapphire>Emerald

    Chapter VII: Pocket Monsters Diamond/Pearl**
**Due to the very small amount of data I have on this particular chapter, a majority of it will be based on originality. As with the Emerald Chapter, this chapter will very likely have its Story Shifts changed.

Beginning in the Sinnoh region, you play as Diamond, Dia for short, and Pearl; Two stand-up comedians whom unexpectedly become the bodyguards of the daughter of the infamous Berlitz Family, Lady Platinum. Platinum gives Dia and Pearl each a PokeDex and a Pokemon and the three begin exploring Sinnoh, with Platinum participating in Gym and Contest matches and Dia and Pearl protecting her. Along the way, the three Trainers uncover the plot of the evil Team Galactic and make it their business to stop them. Story Shifts: Dia>Pearl>Dia>Platinum>Dia>Pearl>Platinum

    Chapter VIII: Pocket Monsters Platinum***
***This chapter is FULLY based on my imagination. As such, similarities to the Platinum chapter when it is released
    are very slim.

Following the defeat of Team Galactic, Dia, Pearl, and Platinum go their separate ways; Dia to become a professional Pokemon Coordinator, Pearl to become a stronger Trainer, and Platinum to solve the mysteries of the Pokemon that governs dimensions, Giratina. However, unknown to the three Sinnoh Dex Holders, on Battle Island,
north of Sinnoh, a regrouped Team Galactic plot to use the powers of Mt. Stark's resident Legendary, Heatran, to power a machine capable of ripping a hole in the fabric of space and time, allowing entrance to the Distortion World, Giratina's domain. Meanwhile, do they ever stop to take a break? Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow come to Sinnoh on Oak's request to collect information on the Pokemon of Sinnoh. When the group hears of Team Galactic's plans via a news broadcast from the Battle Island, they put their data collecting journey aside and travel to Snowpoint City to reach the island. Dia, Pearl and Platinum hear this broadcast as well and regroup with each other to stop Team Galactic once more. Story Shifts: To be determined

    Chapter IX: Pocket Monsters Onyx/Turquoise/Quartz****
****Yet another name change to my original, Pokemon Mythos and prior to that, Turquoise.

Starting out another new journey in the region of Rijune, you play as the young graduate Trainer, Onyx. When you graduate from Lavendale Pokemon Academy, your principal sends you and your friends, Turquoise and Quartz to Professor Rosewood's Lab in Newbreeze Town to receive your Pokemon. After being briefed on an incident involving the theft of your starter, you and your friends go to Route 400, between Lavendale and Newbreeze, looking for the culprits. You don't find them, but do find a bag containing three Pokemon native to Rijune. You take one as your
starter and so your new adventure begins. You'll encounter many new Pokemon, challenge many trainers and face the trials f the gym Leaders and the Elite 4 of Rijune, all the while attempting to cease the activity of the Twilight Army, an enigmatic organization...Story Shifts: To be determined

Produce a logo for Pokemon Adventures: Legacy

    -Tileset Artist-
Show a sample of a custom tileset you created for a Pokemon game.

    -Resource Gatherer-
Your job is to gather music from the anime and games, find character bios and game maps and info. You may have to

some of the things you've gathered/know.

    -Mapper-
Show a sample of a map from Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, or Hoenn using the FR/LG tiles(Tiles liable to change)

    -Trainer Spriter-
You'll be spriting custom Trainers in the overworld and in-battle, as well as recolor a majority of the existing NPCs and playable characters.

    -Graphic Artists-
You will make userbars and logos for the game, titlescreens and maybe even Sugimori-Style art.

    -Tileset Artist-
I want the game to have custom tiles for eveything. It'll make the game more unique.

    -Resource Gatherer-
Your job is to gather music from the anime and games, find character bios and game
maps and info. You may have to gather info on events that happen in games/anime. This Really doesn't require an application, but you could show me
some of the things you've gathered/know. As stated above.

    -Mapper_
Your job is to map the different routes, cities, towns, forests, and caves from the 4 official regions to be used in the game. These maps should be based on images from the manga, not the Pokemon Games (A.I: Do not make Pallet Town look like it did in the game).

    Credits:
Mark, or whatever his name may be now, for his 4th Generation Pokemon Resource Kit
    My cousin for her Fakemon

    Final Note:
If you plan on applieing for a job to help with the games progress, please PM me with your application. Also, the Fakemon sprites that will be posted/already are posted here are the work of my cousin. None of them are mine and as such, I take no responsibility for any 'similarities' or 'idea thefts' you come up with, they are HER work and she has allowed ME to use them for this game. ~PAL Creator

i like the idea of being able to be all the manga characters and the ability to create relationships

You are not giving credit to whom made the sprite you are using in your thread nor would I assume you actually have permission to use it.

...Hey, um. I don't think your cousin made that fake either. xD; I can say that for certain because it's by Hark of C Spriting. Understandable since his are some of the most often stolen and least redited sprites I see. Don't feel too bad though, you may have just been misinformed.

As for the game: InMooseWeTrust is being a little hypocritical, it's true, but, um... there's a reason why the mangas are, um, graphic novels and not games. Don't let other peoples' plots constrain you: if I were you, I'd make a game out of just the last, original region; you've got enough plot there to make an excellent game if developed. Why generate that much more work for yourself? Keep the manga characters, have your story continue where the manga left off, but inevitably having five regions when one will do will make it be too much work. :/

So. Start small, because if you really want this done you'll have to do some, if not most of the work yourself, rather than hiring a spriter, scripter, mapper, writer, resource gatherer, tileset artist, etc. and leaving them to do their business. No. I'm really glad you've put this much work into this already, and you show a lot of potential for great things, but be reasonable, mmk?

Well...I suppose you're right, it does seem like a lot of work and I've been putting strain on mysekf to get things going. As for the sprites, I've watched my cousin make them, not all 202, but atleast 80 of them.

Well you have to stick with Red, Green or Blue if you want to make it a full game instead of a series...

Yeah, it looks to me like every chapter would do better as a game in itself. Take Chapter One - Red's goal is to fill up the Pokedex and become League Champion. Ninetendo made that into FireRed/LeafGreen, right? I don't see how you could possibly put all of that plot into just one game without rushing the player or making them feel that the storyline is superficial. Why not expand on just one chapter? Putting more detail into the story might be more worthwhile than making it long and rambling.

I do like the idea, though. Switching characters almost allows the player to play multiple games at once, and replaying chapters to find extra goodies seems like a good way to expand a game.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I think I'll work on these in a series, kinda like the Harry Potter Books. However, the first chapter I'm working is my own made up region since currently, I have the most progress done there. But I do need assistance. Mainly in scripting.

As stated in my first post, all Fakemon I post here are works of my cousin, also:
