Prologue
The ragged looking arch seemed to beckon people to come closer, but at the same time, seemed to frighten people away. It loomed quietly over an archway leading to a rather tall, pagoda-like building. The gold, but now a dirty yellow, letters had all but faded, making the words barely readable. In its glory says, it had been the center of a large village and was known for miles.
The sign read: Akuchi Academy
But now the place was in ruins, in the middle of an abandoned, nameless village that no one but a few travelers went near. Or so people thought.
Akuchi Academy, translated as Marshland Academy, still taught. But the wise teachers there only thought the children of those who had come to the Academy before. In total, the sums of all the students in the academy were a mere 30.
In the back of this building, there was a marshy land. It was 10 times bigger and held many, many more species of Pokemon then the Pestoria City's Marsh. But this Marsh wasn't for games, oh no. This marsh was for the special training of the students, and it was also where they got their first Pokemon.
This is the story of a young girl that goes by the name Heisui, meaning Calm Water. She is the daughter of nameless parents who have gone to Akuchi Academy. She had stumbled upon the abandoned village when she was merely three years of age. Now, she was ten years old, and she was ready to start her Pokemon journey. Her foster parents, Caria and Gunther, were in Pestoria.
Now, at ten years old, she made her way to the doors of the Academy and knocked. She didn't have to wait long, for an old man came to the door and smiled at her, a toothless grin.
"Ah, Heisui. You have finally come."
