While I enjoy catching the new Pokemon as much as everyone else I think it's time to take a break from the traveling trainer formula, or at least add a new aspect to it. What you could if found your own gym or organization, run a daycare center where you can look after a friend's Pokemon and set your rates, track down Pokemon for other players who can't catch the Pokemon in their version or have just been unable to acquire the pokemon regardless of what they do in the game, train with the police force and help round of criminals in some towns, breed new kinds of Pokemon, actually be able to make a choice about joining an organization that exists in game, etc.

A good deal of the fan base grew up with the original Pokemon games and show, at the very least there should be Pokemon versions that allow for a wider range options for the players who want more or have been around longer and are looking for something different in the franchise. In the Pokemon tv show Ash has yet to move past the age of 13, I'm already 27 and when I was 12 Ash as 10 following that logic he should already be a fully grown adult with a family and we should be following the adventures of his children. Sorry about that, but these are just things I think should be happening in the series and have discussed it with other fans who want to see as well.

Post what you think the Pokemon series is missing out on or should add in. Or just express why you think none of the things others think should be added should be left out of games or show.

You want a Pokémon-related section for this, not our Community Questions & Feedback forum, which is for PokéCommunity-related things only. I'll move this to a more suitable section for you now.

I've always wanted a main series game where I could be a part of the team of bad guys, or at least choose to join up with them as the game progresses. Maybe, for once, have the baddies win. Pokemon is and always has been a pretty dark game- from some of the popkedex entries, to what the bad guys in various criminal organizations do (killing pokemon? Cutting off Slowpoke tails? Trying to eradicate all of humanity outside of their own organization? I mean come on!). Its time to exploit it to the fullest.
Having a game where you're a Gym leader, or hell, even a member of the E4 wouldn't be too bad, eityer, I'd think. It'd definitely put a new perspective on the duties that are required of people in such positions.

I've always wanted to see them make a Pokémon MMO, featuring all regions, Pokémon, items, characters, and so on. Maybe they could have missions as well, and get rewarded for each that you complete. Perhaps they could even allow us to create our own missions. Unfortunately, though, chances of us having an MMO is a bit unlikely; Game Freak is simply not interested. They've said it plenty of times. ): Oh well—maybe one day, they'll change their mind.

One other thing that I'd like to see them do is set up a few Pokémon Center stores throughout US. I mean, why not? We may not have as much Pokémon fans as Japan, but there's still plenty.

You've said what I've been thinking for the past couple years.

Are you my long lost twin? o____________o

Pokemon MMO would be fantastic...I'll probably end up getting more addicted to it than MapleStory or Ragnarok Online...combined.

And yes, Pokemon Centers would be so great.

We have to keep in mind that Gamefreak/Nintendo is a business. For the business to stay in business, they need profit.

Whilst it's obvious that a great number of the community would love to have a Pokémon MMO- you have to consider the costs of creating one, maintaining it- and then weighing said costs, and considering the vital question- is the Pokémon fanbase large enough to offset that?

They still make games, so it's evident that they still consider the series worth their while- but a MMO can cost a fair sight more to create.

Though I wouldn't rule it out.

Each successive generation has put further emphasis on multiplayer and connectivity- so it may come to fruition yet.

I think that a Pokemon MMO would be more than popular enough to be made and played by lots of people, but it just doesn't make sense while the franchise is still as popular as it is. If they were to put all of the regions and Pokemon along with a full MMO system into one game, why would anyone want to play the limited handheld games? I do think that a Pokemon MMO will happen one day- but not until either handheld consoles or the overall franchise popularity has decreased significantly, since there's still more than enough money to be made on the main series games.

And going along with the Pokemon Centers, I wish that there was just more official Pokemon merchandise in general. Other than plushies, some figurines and the TCG, there's next to no merchandise available to those outside of Japan. Sure, you could always order things online, but then you're usually dealing with unofficial things, or you have to pay a fortune to have them shipped out.

Pokemon X and Y (That I've played) puts you in control of a berry farm, and you can volunteer at the biggest hotel with multiple jobs. Maybe some other stuff that I forgot about, or haven't reached yet. Due to this I'm sure theres more to come.
And in the new Mystery Dungeon you were incharge and able to make/build your own town.

As for the anime, they actually did plan to 'kill' off Ash, and star his child / new trainer. But I guess due to how popular Ash was, they chose not too. I like Ash and don't watch every single episode so I don't have a problem really.

Towards the MMO aspect that has been addressed in a few youtube videos. I really didn't question the 4 moves limit on pokemon for the first 2 or 3 games, but it has gotten to the point they your pokemon should have their attack/ability numbers increased or at the very least they should allow you to dump some attacks into a set of alternate moves lists and cycle through the move lists outside of combat situations in relation to the challenges you're facing or think you might face. I am unaware if the moves limit has been addressed in the recent games, but I have a suspicion that the 4 moves limit per pokemon has yet to be seriously addressed.
