What is Pokemon Battle Revolution?
PBR is the first Pokemon game for the Nintendo Wii. It is a sequel to the Stadium and Colosseum series. The game is a battle simulator that has all 493 Pokemon, shiny versions and all. The object of PBR is to sync your version of Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl and challenge the ten colosseums with the Pokemon from your DS Pokemon game. The ten colosseums truly test your skills as a Pokemon Trainer, with different circumstances and allowances in each.
What are the 10 colosseums?
The ten colesseums are as follows;
Gateway Colosseum - In this challenge you may only pick your Pokemon from the rental set that is given. Although, when you defeat an opponent, you have the option to "trade" Pokemon with them. This mimics that Battle Factory from Pokemon Emerald. Round 2 adheres to the same guidelines.
Waterfall Colosseum - In this challenge your team order is decided by the opponent you are facing. This requires a lot of strategy with a team that is evenly raised, since you do not know who is coming next.
Mainstreet Colosseum - A classic knock out battle. Defeat all of your opponents Pokemon and you have won.
Neon Colosseum - The infamous Neon Colosseum is more of a test of your reflexes than your skills in battling. A roulette wheel decides whether you get your Pokemon or your opponent's Pokemon. There are a couple of tricks to use to get your own Pokemon, but I'm going to use my strategy. The trick is to put your cursor where 10:30 would be, and press the A button when your desired pokemon is at the 3:00. That should most likely give you your prized Pokemon.
Crystal Colosseum - A 16 person tournament awaits you in this crystal illuminated colosseum. All you have to do is defeat all of your opponents, and you'll have won the mini-tourney.
Sunny Park Colosseum - A classic knock out battle. Defeat all of your opponents Pokemon and you have won.
Round 2 - Baby Pokemon battling. You must use level 5 Pokemon when you come and face this the second time around. Breeding for egg moves and such is the key here.
Magma Colosseum - A 6 person tournament awaits you in this steam filled colesseum. Defeat all of your opponents, and you'll have won.
Sunset Colosseum - In this challenge you are given the choice between 2 of the 12 Pokemon given. I recommend using the super cheap Smeargle.
Courtyard Colosseum - A classic knock out battle. Defeat all of your opponents and you have won. I recommend having a move like Faint Attack or Aerial Ace that never misses because when the fog sets in, you won't be able to see two feet in front of you.
Round 2 - Battle through 100 trainers. A test of endurance and patience. I recommend again having moves that never miss. This mimics the Battle Tower in some aspects.
Stargazer Colosseum - In this challenge your team order is decided by the opponent you are facing. This requires a lot of strategy with a team that is evenly raised, since you do not know who is coming next.
Round 2 - You will have to face 8 sets of 4 trainers in double battles. This is the ultimate test of the pure power of your Pokemon. You are not considered a Pokemon Master until you have beaten Mysterial on Set 8, believe me.
What items can I get in the Mystery Gift shop?
Pikachu - Knows Surf and Volt Tackle and holds Light Ball. Unlocked after beaten the first round of every Colosseum.
Wise Glasses, Dawn Stone, Dusk Stone, Expert Belt, King's Rock, Leftovers, Light Clay, Shiny Stone, Quick Claw, Iron Ball, Upgrade, Dubious Disc, Reaper Cloth, Deapseascale, Deepseatooth, Soul Dew.
TM: 2, 5, 12, 13, 24, 26, 29, 30, 31, 35, 42, 48, 50, 56, 59, 71, 78, 79, 81, 84, 87, 88, 92.
Berries: Ganlon, Salac, Petaya, Apicot, Liechi, Lansat, Starf, Enigma.
