Has there ever been a moment in the anime where you were no longer able to suspend your disbelief? Well this is what this thread is for.

Such a moment for me would include Ash's battle with Clair for the rising badge. I think this is a really cool battle, but there are some details that had me saying 'WHAT?!!!"
One being Pikachu's electric attacks doing nothing to Kingdra. Kingdra is a water/dragon type, neutral to electricity. This is not the same as immunity or type resistance. In the rematch Snorlax k.oed the Kingdra with an ice punch which also is neutral to this typing.
Gyarados also repeatedly deflects Pikachu's thunderbolts. C'mon now, Gyarados was sitting in a swimming pool... all Pikachu had to was walk up to the pool and let the water conduct the electricity.
But the clencher for me was Dragonair spamming hyperbeam against Charizard without a recharge time, both Dragonair and Gyarados used a move that is well-known in both the anime and game for rendering you unable to move the next turn. Even Kingdra is shown unable to avoid snorlax after launching this attack. But they totally throw the rules out the window in mid battle :P
Again you can like the episodes and battles, but they can still have inconsistencies that make them that much more crazy and fun to watch.
