5th Gen Pokemon Black and White Sprite Project

    Note: This thread is does not belong in the Art Section since we aren't making sprites, we're speculating what the sprites will be, in text.

    So as we all know, the sprites so far in Pokemon Black and White are different from all others. They do move like the previoud generations, but they have way more movement as they move all during the battle and they aren't limited to 2-3 frames of movement.

    As you can see, Zoroark's whole body moves like it's body's alive, which is a huge improvement from the previous sprites.

    It also seems as though they will be reusing the HG/SS sprites of all the Pokemon, a seen with a recent video of a Pikachu, but they will all also get the power of movement like Zoroark.

    But not all the animations have been revealed yet.

    That's where the fun of this thread comes in.

    I think with Black and White around two months away, gives us more than enough time to speculate what the animations might be like.

    When I say what the animations will be like, I mean like how the sprite will move.

    For example, Giaru's two gears grind together in their sprite while Pikachu's has it's tail wag, it's mouth open and close and it lifting up it's right arm.

    So I plan on making a list of all the animated sprites that have been revealed and the ones you speculate, with the posters name next to it.
    That way, once the official sprite has been revealed, we can see who ever was the closest to guessing the animation.

    You can speculate for as many pokemon as you wish, but only one per Pokemon. If you have a change of ehart of what you speculated, P.M me and I'll change it. But only use this if you are really unhappy of your speculation.

    Cant wait to see how the legendaries move, hopefully you can get all previous pokemon, I want to get previous legendaries as well :P
     
    We know this, all the battle sprites will be ripped in 3 days or less time after the ROMs leak, probably one frame at first, but it will most likely be the frame most spriters and ROM hackers will use, they will probably be ripped by Veekun at first, since he was the first to rip Platinum and HG/SSs Pokemon and Trainer sprites

    To me, the known sprite animations are pretty uncanny and kinda creepy, but are a lot smoother than that of Digimon World Dawn/Dusk, actually, a lot of the 5th gen Pokemon themselves, let alone the sprites, are not used to me, unlike the 4th gen Pokemon, which quickly got used to me (except Infernape, probably because of being so diffeently colored and having the flame on the head and not the tail, and Drifloon, I did not even know that yellow X had it's mouth, it was so tiny and invisible, Cresselia was a strange case, since I saw her mini-sprite first, which I thought was some sort of math equation, but after seeing her more clearly and in full form, she quickly became one of my favorite Pokemon, favorite psychic type most particularry, which put Mewtwo in second place)

    I hope Floatzel does not have an ugly sprite like in Platinum and HG/SS (I still cannot stand that sprite), Raichu had better have a decent sprite since it's HG/SS sprite seemed too much like said Floatzel sprite
     
    Well, most sprites seem to just have a boring bobbing motions, so I'm guessing that's what the majority of the pokemon will move like. However, some pokemon will have more interesting antics. I'm guessing Mr. Mime will, well, mime, Jynx will sing or blow kisses, Smeargle will swing his tail and Majikarp will flop about on the ground.

    Mr. Mime, I think I know what you're syaing. Like move it's hands in a way that it "mimes", perhaps make a box or something.

    Jynx, I can see it singing and blowing kisses. Great idea.

    Smeargle, so hold it's tail like a brush and air paint in the air? Good.

    Magikarp, I deifnately like this idea. Sinse all battles will supposedly be on top of a surface, Magikarp will definately be flopping, like in the anime.

    I think Musharna will move like it's snoring, because it's asleep. Or at least it looks like it. I'm looking forward to raising one of these for some reason.
     
    Magmaruby AquaSapphire, I don't think Magikarp will have two different sprites but I'll put you down for it anyways.

    Rayquaza, good concept since it has a snake-like body.

    Kyogre, good but I bet that would hurt.

    Slowking Bro, Musharna's sprite has already been revealed, but I'll add your speculation since there could be more to it.
     
    I think Lugia and Ho-Oh will Flap there wings rapidly.

    Well I mean in the air for Kyorge it leaps higher into the air then goes down until it stop just above the ground :)
    Yeah I doubt Magikarp would get too different sprites but that would have been nice though...specially if it had a rain one well you see your Magikarp get all tough looking :P
    Gyarados would be similar to Rayquaza's except of circle though it would just swing violently around as if it's smashing everything around it :)
     
    I was about to think this should be in the art gallery. xDD. But anyways, magikarp/Feebas should be flopping around. Magikarp is more likely. And well, Machamp... Maybe it flexes its muscles? Oh and the legendary birds should be flapping their wings like their OW in HG/SS.
     
    i just hope they move with status problems
    what i'm hoping for is something like:

    Poison: their movements slow and maybe their eyes halfway close like they're exhausted
    Sleep: their movements Stop and their Eyes Close Completely
    Confused: maybe a swirly eyed @.@ face xD
    maybe for Burned and Paralysis will be the same they have a >.< face and their movements slow

    i really hope they don't continue to Move when they're asleep e.e

    i hope Milotic moves really Gracefully~ like maybe a Figure 8 in the air?
    maybe all Pkmn with "Snake-Like" bodies might move like that... hmm

    i'm glad they're actually making ALL the previous sprites move too
    i was worried that they might just Limit the Animation Sprites to the NEW Isshu Dex Pkmn
    but then again that may still be the case because we haven't seen any previous Pkmn yet =\ besides Pikachu and Leafeon but they may be IN the Isshu Dex
     
    Cyndaquil/Quilva/Typhlosion: sits on hind legs, goes on all foes, steps forward with a roar as the flames shoot out (otherwise the flames shoot out randomly)

    Pachirisu: grab its tail&roll around (so cute <3)
     
    Volroc, I want to ask, is the three points you put down for Cyndaquil, Quilava and Typhlosion together or is each point for an imperticular PKMN?

    For Hoothoot I'm thinking that there'll be a rapid leg change and blinking. For Noctowl there'll be blinking and tilting its head either side.

    Slaking will probably pick its nose, maybe scratch its stomach.

    Hitmonchan will do a few lightning quick jabs, maybe shuffle its feet around a bit. Hitmonlee will probably be similar, except with kicks. I want to say that Hitmontop should spin around, but I feel that it would make me dizzy :P

    Charmander might wag its tail, the flame on which will be dancing. Charmeleon will be similar and Charizard will flap its wings in addition, maybe blow smoke out of its nostrils or open it's mouth to breathe a little fire every now and then.
