    I do believe this is in the correct section as it is possible to play this challenge with any of the four generation games.​

    This is the Pokemon One Egg Group Only Challenge. I've looked around and there seemes to be none so far, so what the hey?​

    The object of this challenge is pretty self-explanitory; defeat a Pokemon game using just Pokemon from an already selected egg group? Think you're up to it? :D​

    ~//Rules:.​

    ~ You may only use Pokemon from ONE egg group​

    ~ No legendaries or any Pokemon in the No Egg group​

    ~ You may use your starter but only if it is part of your chosen Egg Group. You may use your your starter but only up until capturing your first Pokemon​

    ~ Due to the fact the game would probably half finished by the time you've captured them, Pokemon from the Water Groups 2 and 3 are discouraged. You may still, however, give it a try :D​

    ~ Trading IS allowed but only for a Pokemon of your chosen Egg Group. You may trade as many times as you'd like.​

    ~ If a Pokemon not in your Egg Group evolves into one that is you may use that Pokemon but only to evolve it. However, if a Pokemon evolves into one of a different Egg Group you must keep it as it is.​

    ~ More than one person can choose the same Egg Group​

    Now, for the Egg Groups. You will find a complete list of all fifteen Egg Groups here ( https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Egg_groups )​

    ~ You must have captured your first Pokemon by the first gym. There are a few exceptions to this rule:.​

    Human-like Group:.
    In R/B/Y:. You must capture your first Pokemon by the SECOND Gym
    In R/S/E:. You must capture your first Pokemon by the SECOND Gym​

    Fairy Group:.
    In G/S/C:. You must capture your first Pokemon by the SECOND Gym
    In R/S/E:. You must capture your first Pokemon by the SECOND Gym​

    Dragon Group:.

    This will probably not be much of a challenge, since I chose the largest group. >.>

    Here is my current progress so far:

    Pauline's Epic Quest! Part 1:

    - Arrived in style to new hometown. "All the cool kids ride in the moving van."
    - Entered a rather small and sparsely decorated home. "Have these people ever heard of interior design... or furniture?"
    - Set clock and got Potion from my PC.
    - Joined mother in main room to learn some minor plot details. "Wait, I have a dad?"
    - Insulted the random people hanging around town. "Are you hobos or something? There are only two houses here!"
    - Went to the neighbors' house and met Brendan. "You have a strange taste in hats, dude."
    - Chose Torchic as starter. "Do do do do~! You found a Torchic!"
    - Rescued the princess professor. "Lv. 2 Poochyenas are way too tough for Prof. Birch to handle alone."
    - Got Torchic, who I nicknamed Shamomaru, as reward for saving him. "Shamomaru joined your party."
    - Left town to beat up some Pokemon train my Torchic. "Isn't it the same thing?"
    - Arrived in Oldale Town. "Why would they name a town after old ale?"
    - Got a free Potion from a worker who seems to be rather bad at his job. "He just stands outside the shop all day!"
    - Totally annihilated Brendan's Mudkip.
    - Went back home and got tons of free stuff. "Heck yeah, I can run now! Oh, the Pokedex is pretty cool too."

    I luff challenges, so let's give this one a go!

    I begin my journey with letting Professor Birch (who may have had a few too many) know that I am, indeed, a male.
    Not a great first impression, but none the less...
    I let the professor know that my name is Player3. Well, that's not really my name, but due to an [~]outside force[~] I was compelled to make it so.
    ~*~*~*~*~
    Suddenly, I am awakened from a terrible dream, in which I was being questioned by an intoxicated man in a labcout(?) who was also gender confused. Glad to be back in the real world, I remember that my parents had me moved with the rest of the furniture because I wouldn't stop asking "Are we there yet?" and turning the volume on my game up real loud. Before the claustrophobia set in, the van came to a stop and I exited to find my mother waiting for me. I was confused by the fact that the machoke movers weren't actually doing anything, but went up to my room anyways. I set the **** to 11:59 p.m. because, honestly, I'm not going to be needing it. After getting a potion from my computer (how does that even work? o_O ) and meeting my spazzy neighbor, I head out onto my adventure.
    ~*~*~*~*~
    To my surprise, the man from my dreams is there, being chased by a poochyena. I root for the hyena pokemon, but an [~]outside force[~] causes me to help him instead with a treecko that was in his bag. Professor Birch takes me to his lab and congradulates me on my win, allowing me to keep the pokemon, which I name "lolrape xD" because I feel like being a retard today.

    After begging me to see his spazzy offspring (who happens to be my neighbor), I reluctantly agree and set off out of town again. This time I make it to the northern half of town uninterrupted, and meet up with a deranged sales man (woman?) who gives me a free potion. Seeing as there is nothing in this part of town either, I make my way north once again and find that my spazzy neighbor is there as well. Although I would have liked to ignore Professor Birch's pleadings and not talk to her, an [~]outside force[~] causes me to speak with the spazz. Obviously, a battle must be fought.

    I find myself about to save Professor Birch from the irksome poochyena, although I feel a bit light headed and have a sense of de ja vou. I pick the treecko from his bag and easily deafet the pokemon that was harassing the professor. Being very grateful for my rescue of him, he lets me keep the treecko. At first, I want to name it lolrape xD for some reason, but instead opt for Illumina. After all, this time it was a girl. Wait... This time? Have I done this before? Oh well.

    - Helped Wally catch a Pokemon
    - Fought Team Aqua Grunt in Petalburg Woods
    - Shamomaru evolved into Combusken
    - Arrived in Rustboro City
    - Recieved HM 1 (Cut)
    - Caught a Zigzagoon and named it Slave-chan
    - Taught Slave-chan Cut
    - Beat Roxanne and got Stone Badge
    - Ignored the robbery to go access new areas with Cut
    - Caught a Slakoth who I named Namamaru
    - Began training Namamaru (which is a major pain because of Truant! DX)

    Hokay, so I went and beat my Spazz of a Neighbor with Illumina (no freaky crits this time =D )

    ooooooooooot of level grinding, Glitter was ready to evolve. Unfortunately, it was a @#$%ing cascoon. Not that I have anything against dustox. In fact, I've gone through the game with one before and they are very helpful. I just wanted a (male) beautifly =<

    None the less, I continue westwards and destroyed the opposing trainers with poison sting, tackle, and (lol) harden. I talk to my Non Biological Dad and meet my Nerdy Friend. After doing some favors I'm not too proud of (helping my Nerdy Friend catch a pokemon and speaking with my Non Biological Dad), I was able to continue north to Petalburg Woods. There, I decided to pursue my dream of having a (male) beautifly by catching a (male) silcoon and nicknaming it Sparkle, to go along with Glitter. After that, I level grinded some mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    After arriving in Rustboro, I stop by a house to get cut and then drop into the gym. My (male) beautifly makes short work of the geodudes. Now all I had to do was beat Roxanne.

    Rocks(Anne) sent out NOSEPASS!
    Glitter used poison sting A LOT!
    NOSEPASS is sad that Shield Dust prevents rock tomb from lowering Glitter's speed!

    Glitter still can't poison NOSEPASS with poison sting!
    NOSEPASS decides to be useless and uses harden!

    Glitter eventually poisons NOSEPASS!
    NOSEPASS watches some T.V.!

    Player3 forgot to mention all the POTIONS he used on Glitter!

    So I gots mah badge and went to some place to save some guy's pokemon and get some guy to go to time out and to get some stuff for some guy and battle some guys.

    Eventually, I decided to take a trip on a boat with some old guy without any supervision. I was able to fend him off with (male) Sparkle, but it was a close call! D=

    Upon arriving in Dewford, I made my way to the gym and pwned everybody. Seriously, I'm not even going to log it. It was that pathetic. Both Glitter and (male) Sparkle resist fighting by x.25, and gust and confusion both own fighting types. Oh, and I went to this cave.

    I went on the boat again to Slateport, but this time tho old guy had learned his lesson so no problems there. Arriving at the beach, me, Glitter, and (male) Sparkle beat up every single trainer and took their money. Thankfully, I saved a museum form some peeps so the police let me off this time. After heading further north, I cam across my Spazzy Neighbor!

    Player3 sends out (male) Sparkle!
    Spazzy Neighbor sends out [insert pokemon here]!

    (male) Sparkle whins by using gust a few times!

    WAILMER survives to go all super saiyan on (male) Sparkle's ass with rollout!

    (male) Sparkle manages to pull through with moar absorb!
    WAILMER wins a trip to Florida!

    Player3 sends out Glitter!

    Glitter uses confusion!

    For some reason, my Spazzy Neighbor gives me some item and then runs off. I beat up some more trainers, mostly with (male) Sparkle because I know HE won't be able to do much against the upcoming gym. However, that is another story for another time...
     
    i'm bored, so i just gonna start this challenge now xD i'll be playing an older generation, otherwise i'll have to look for the right nature all the time which is quite annoying in-game

    caught a gastly, named ZOMBIES!

    deposited chikorita (which leveled up to 12 in the following battle against another gastly)
    defeated all trainers without normal pokemon, did a lot of training (mostly in the unown ruins) and finally learned curse.
    now i was finally able to defeat the last 2 people in bellsprout tower and - which is even more important - the gym
    lost all my potions in the battle but i won =)

    just defeated the onix trainer in the cave between violet and this slowpoke town and was going to heal, i walked into a rattata. i already wanted to flee, but then i was like "wait, arent rattatas purple usually? so this has to be a shiny (omgomgomg)" and started throwing pokeballs on it, but it just didnt work (sleep didnt help much) and then i caught that thing with my last great ball... and i'm not able to use it in this challenge because it's in another egg group :CRY:

    I went to Mauville, and beat my rival with (male) Sparkle. I tried to beat Wattson, like, FIF-TY-MOTH-ER-FREA-KIN-TIMES! it didn't work
    So, I went out and caught a volbeat, despite it's ungodly uglyness. I nicknamed it Voltus, and beat every single trainer untill he learned tail glow. (!!!)

    VOLTORB outspeeds Voltus and almost kills it! (!!!)
