It has recently occurred to me that the Contests in regular Pokemon games are bland and pointless compared to how they are in the anime series.
So I was thinking, wouldn't it be a good idea if Nintendo made a Pokemon spin-off game, based solely on Pokemon co-ordinators?
For example: Start off with your starter Pokemon, and assemble a party whilst taking part in contests across the Pokemon regions. Once getting to a city with a Contest Hall (example, Hearthome City in Sinnoh), the co-ordinator can train their Pokemon in appeals, and learn to link moves.
During the contests, the touch screen on the DS could be utilised to choose moves and determine how the moves are used; a certain move-combo used correctly would get higher points. The battles round could be formatted in the same way as a normal Pokemon battle.
I was just wondering, what were people's thoughts on this? Particularly as some people find the contests more appealing than battling.
