Pokemon Crystal on VBA Problem

Whenever I open Pokemon Crystal on my VBA the game goes maybe 2 or 3 times the original speed.
I'm not even pressing the button to make it go that fast, but it still does it.

Does anyone know what's wrong with it and how I can fix it?

Do you have the Sound on, off or mute in VBA's Sound Options? If it is Off, it goes quicker than normal, so leave it on Mute and On.
