OoC: Then I guess its time for an entrance...

Sean could hear the roar of the crowds in the stadium, even from the confinds of the Pokemon Center, not even half a mile away. He sighed and tapped his foot quietly on the bottom of the couch, waiting for the announcement that his battle was starting. Neo rolled around the floor of the center under Sean's foot, occasionally swatting at it as he rolled by, obviously unaware he was about to be in some tough battles. The speakers above his head suddenly clicked, and before the words were even spoken, Sean was out of the center and heading towards the stadium. Unlike most of the combatents, Sean's Pokemon was not tainted by evil, it was a pure Eevee; unlike the one he was about to face.
The crowd was even louder now that Sean was in the stadium, Neo cringed at the loudness and stayed close to Sean's feet, but far away enough so that he would not get stepped on. Once he reached his side of the arena, he lifted his head up to face his opponent on the oppisite side. It was a boy of about the same age, similar height and weight most likely, but the oddest thing about him Sean thought, was the fact that he seemed emotionless. Nonetheless, Neo walked forward with a look of confidence on his small face, but quickly lost it as the opponent's Eevee stepped forward.
As if it was drenched in a black pool of paint, its entire body was black, and worse then that, its eyes were a blood red color. Neo was terrified of this Eevee, but he breathed easily when Sean nodded at him with a cocky grin, Neo trusted Sean with his life, and with his life he would fight. The battle started with a bang, both Eevees shot off towards the center of the arena and collided heads, both flying into back flips and landing with a skid. "Shadow Ball!" Sean called out, and Neo obeyed quickly. A blinding light erupted from his furry little being and shot off into a ball like shape, directly at the opposing Eevee; however, the Pokemon just stood there. "While its distracted, Body Slam!" Sean called out yet again, and Neo took off running after its Shadow Ball attack.
As the Shadow Ball attack passed through the Eevee, due to the type diffrence in Ghost vs. Normal, it watched in terror as Neo leapt behind it and slammed down into its face. The Eevee cried out in pain and bounced off backwards towards its trainer, rolling to a stop at his feet and not moving any longer. "I believe thats called a win mon ami..." Sean said as his Eevee begun to walk back to him. Little did Sean realize, the shadowed Eevee was not finished. The trainer kicked the Eevee and it rolled back into the arena. Sean looked disgusted, and screamed at his opponent, "How can you treat your Pokemon like that!?" The trainer did not answer, but merely stared at his Eevee. The Eevee arose slowly and looked up into the sky, the sun was shining brightly, so brightly that it seemed to blind everyone in the stadium for a few moments. Sight was soon regained, and all eyes fell upon one Pokemon in the battle: Espeon.
The tournament was for basic form Pokemon only, Sean knew that well, but he neglacted to remember that evolution does not count againist this rule. While Sean was busy thinking, the Espeon reared up on its hind legs, the sun shining brightly and reflecting off the red gem on its forehead and creating a rainbow colored beam. Before Sean could call out to Neo, the beam collided with his back and sent him hurtiling forward. Now, he was angry. "Its newly evolved Neo, it has no true power yet...use Touch of Darkness." Neo took a deep breath and turned to face one of his many evolutions, and prepared for a quick finish to this fight.
Neo's paws begun to glow blue, and in a flash, he took off running, bobbing and darting, sprinting circles around the Espeon. Espeon, confounded by the running and tired from its evolution, began to sway in a dazed confusion. It was time. Neo stopped running and using the momentum from the run, bound forward at Espeon, biting hard and deep into its neck with his razor-sharp fangs Sean always helped to keep in top condition. Espeon fell over, and this time, he would not get up, not for a long time. The trainer, having been defeated, quickly took off running and got out of the stadium as fast as he could. With his Pokemon defeated, he was useless there and the Pokemon, was useless as well, to him at least. The shadow Pokemon was defeated, but not purified, Sean would heal this Pokemon soon and cleanse it of the evil it had been cursed with. With a new Pokeball, Sean cast it onto the Espeon, an easy capture, and an easy win againist the inexperinced trainer.
OoC: I hope everyone enjoyed that, I put a lot of work into making it good. :)
