Is this a good team for the elite four?
All my pokemon are level 55

well that looks really good u got the types covered. my platinum e4 team was torterra, gastrodon (pink), rapidash, luxray, staraptor, and toxicroak but urs is better except mine were all lvl 60

Although your team does yes, have good type coverage, you are too reliant on stab.

Sludge Bomb > ingrain on Roserade for instance. High damage STAB move there buddy.

Empoleon could have used Flash Cannon, but isn'tn ecessary.

Shadow Ball on Zam is pretty nice too. Focus Blast as well. Psychic / Shadow Ball / focus Blast has crazy good coverage with an amazing STAB attack. I'd recommend that.


Honch iscool an all but special attacks blow on it. Considering it has low sp. att. Sucker Punch would have been better.


Luxray seems alright. but tacklemakes me lol.


Rapidash is OK as well.

He's fine, just added Megahorn for some flavor, and it helps
against Lucian's psychic types.

Luxray

Tackle
Spark
Crunch
Thunder Fang

Eh, not a fan of Luxray... I'll leave this as is.

Honchkrow

Roost
Dark Pulse
Sucker Punch
Drill Peck

Just use an HM slave, as most of the HM's are just a waste
of a moveslot in-game. This is pretty much the best he can do
without the Plat. tutors.

Alakazam

Psychic
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Energy Ball

Shadow Ball and Focus Blast give you at least a resisted hit
on everything in the game, and Energy Ball is for coverage.

Empoleon

Ice Beam
Grass Knot
Aqua Jet
Surf

Stick with Special attacks unless you're gonna use Swords Dance.
Grass Knot gives you some added coverage, and Aqua Jet is STAB
priority, even though it's physical it can be handy. Use an HM slave
for Waterfall.

Roserade

Energy Ball
Sludge Bomb
Ingrain
Sleep Powder

Moves like Toxic Spikes are pretty useless in-game IMO, so go with
Sludge Bomb for a good STAB. Energy Ball is a great reliable STAB,
while Sleep Powder is nice for shutting down a threat.
