Ok well I don't do any wifi battling so it's strictly in-game. But I have a Gastrodon and a Garchomp and I want them both to have Earthquake and there's only 1 TM for it. So what's a good replacement move for Gastrodon because I've decided to teach it to Garchomp

What are your current movesets for Garchomp and Gastrodon?

For Gastrodon, the moveset I would recommend Curse, Rest, Sleep Talk, and Waterfall. You'd be able to raise both its Defense and Attack with first move, I believe; it does lower its Speed, but it's already quite slow in terms of that, so it wouldn't make much difference. Then, you'd be able to wreak havoc with Waterfall. Should you ever run out of items and need to recover, there's Rest, and if you want to continue attacking while you're at sleep, you may use Sleep Talk. Have personally tried this before, and it's great. I hope this helps!

Well since I only do in game/story line I like to have my team learn the good attacking HMs like surf and fly. But my Gastrodon I want to have Surf, Ice Beam, Recover, ???. And my Garchomp I want to have: Stone Edge, Dragon Rush, Earthquake, and Brick Break. I really am very open to suggestions with my garchomps moveset. I just like having an idea of what I'm going to teach it before I even start a new save file. Just make sure you keep Earthquake in the moveset. Only requirement 😜

For Garchomp, maybe you might be able to teach it Swords Dance? After one use, the Pokémon would be able to get through your opponent's entire team without any trouble at all. :) I've this move on my own Garchomp at the moment, and it's great. I know this is more useful for competitive side of things, but it's also quite useful in-game.

I have finally figured out what I'm going to do. I will post my team and it's move sets! Remember this is strictly in-game only.

-Infernape: Flare Blitz, Flamethrower, Close Combat, Return.

-Staraptor: Fly, Close Combat, Brave Bird, Agility.

-Luxray: Discharge, Thunder Fang, Crunch, Iron Tail.

-Roserade: Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball, Toxic Spikes.

-Gastrodon: Surf, Ice Beam, Rest, Sleep Talk.

-Garchomp: Dragon Rush, Brick Break, Earthquake, Swords Dance.

Well I'm not sure if you're far enough in the game for this but you can get as many TM's of earthquake as you need from the battle frontier/park after beating the elite four. It's pretty end game content I suppose. There's also the option of breeding if you have a ditto.
