    I have a question. When dubbers edit the opening, they take clips of the original opening. When they cut the opening does it come with credit and paint it or it comes in textless. I was trying to fandub the battle frontier dub opening and i download the episode Home is Where The Start Is! to take the video opening. I was using virtual dub looking at all the frames, then i saw in the the beginning there were japanese characters but when i plays the japanese characters are unnoticeable.

    it says このほしの ふしき なきさが
    ポケットモンスター。。。
    ちぢめてポケモン

    something like that

    It's amusing that you noticed that, but little 'errors' like that seem to be found every-now-and-then.
    Still, from the clips seen in the dub it appears that use they clean versions, same as most other dubbing companies use.

    So it really is weird that you noticed Japanese characters.

    Unless maybe some of the clips they used did come from from the versions with text already on them. >>;
    That would be odd though, but some of the clips are from the episodes as well..

    Maybe it was a part of an episode with text that couldn't be removed? oO;
    (Or that they didn't bother removing..)

    So that part is a dub error?

    I don't know about the opening, but when you watch Reversing the Charges (Battle Frontier AG155) you ALWAYS see the Japanese title for a split second afterward the English one has came up. So at least now I know why they have huge yellow titles nowadays. I've watched it on TV twice at different times and then rewound it and it always has Japanese. The first time I saw it I freaked out and punched my sister XD

    But if they edit it out on the openings as well, wouldn't they just use the opening that they made from the first episode?

    Ohhhhh I've had an idea! Maybe they just cut the Japanese episode a little too late so they left in the first frame of Spurt. So PUSA must get clean openings but they edited the episode too late.

    Well, TV Tokyo gave 4Kids creditless OPs to use as they saw fit, and same goes with PUSA (according to Dogasu, so I'd need to search to get the file on that).

    Since you downloaded (virtual dub, right), it's possible the source slipped it in, anyway. Like, sometimes, you see the eyecatches in Kanto before they cut to the commerical break? It's the formatting of the episode, most likely, slicing it into 4 chunks than 2 in the good old days. But, sometimes, you'd be surprised with they slip in.
