This is a post about a pokemon project I am in. Called Pokemon Rythm.
The game takes in a region called Cauca , which is based out of real life Colombia and it's surrounding places. Name comes from the real life Cauca region located in Colombia.
The main gimmick of the region is called Sync-Dances , which are revised Z-Moves.
Also there is the long awaited and infamous Sound type. A bunch of older pokemon and moves are changed to being Sound type.
Don't worry , this region will have a lot of pokemon and connections to ScVi , when it comes out.
Characters:
The Mc's names are Oscucho for the male mc , and Lucia for the female mc. Oscucho's name comes from ''oscuro'' , which means ''dark'' in Spanish , and Lucia's name comes from ''luz'' , which means ''light'' in Spanish.
The proffessors name is called Professor Agustín Quindo , or just Prof. Quindo. His name comes from Quindío wax palm , a palm species located in forests of Andes in Colombia and northern Peru.
The main character's mother is named Marie , who is also the former champion of Cauca. Who also helps you through your journey.
The main and friendly rivals name is Simon , an aspiring chef. Name comes from Simon Bolivar , a very important figure in Latin-American history.
The second and more competitive rival is the character the opposite gender of your character (Lucia/Oscucho) , like May/Brendan or Serena/Calem. They are your sibling but aren't very close to you because you are more of a prodigy then them.
Simon choses the starter good against yours , while Lucia/Oscucho choses the starter bad against yours.

The Starters:
Grass starter line: Ceraimen , Jacare and Allimayo.
Ceraimen is a little alligator with grass that grows rapidly on it and likes music a lot. Name comes from spanish words "Cera" (wax) and "Caimán" (alligator)
Jacare is the middle evo and is a bigger alligator that has some flowers. Name comes from Jacaranda (a kind of flower) and Yacaré (native name of the alligator)
Allimayo is the final evo , now is bigger , has more flowers and now is a Fairy type. Name comes from Alligator and Flor de Mayo (national flower of Colombia)
The line is based out of alligators , and on the Palma de Cera, national tree of Colombia.
Fire starter line: Flamifero , Contana and Grancondor.
Flamifero is a little fire chick that travel through flocks around the mountains of Cauca. Name comes from english word "flame", and spanish word "plumífero" (feathered).
Contana is a middle evo that can fly without any issue. Name comes from Condor and Montaña (mountain)
Grancondor is the fianl evo and it's a powerful giant condor . Name comes from spanish word "gran condor" (big condor)
The line is based out of Condors , national bird of Colombia, as well as in Bolivia, Chile and Ecuador.
Water starter line: Aguarete , Cristarete and Pumalegria.
Aguarete is a little kitty that likes to swim and collect shiny stuff. Name comes from spanish words "agua" (water) and "yaguareté" (another name for the jaguar)
Cristarete is the middle evo that will try to defend it's trainer no matter what. Names comes from Cristal (from Caño Cristales, a famous river in Colombia) and yaguareté (native name for the jaguar)
Pumalegria , the final evo , is a powerful feline pokemon with it's dazzling mane and powerful roars , gains the Sound type. Name comes from Puma and Alegría (happiness)
The line is based out jaguars and pumas. Their multi-colored fur is inspired by the Caño Cristales river, otherwise known as the Rainbow River.
