Pokemon emerald, A good team for the 2nd gym?

Okay. Hi. I'm new, And I love Pokemon RSE. I'm playing emerald and I started a new file. I always get stuck on the 2nd gym in dewford and that has come back to haunt me :paranoid: So I need ideas for a good team for battling him :P My starter is mudkip (all the way) and I just need some good pokemon ideas for my gym battle. Any ideas? I don't mind sailing back but not too far.
