3rd Gen Pokemon Fire Red Save Patch

    Honest to goodness I have been looking all day on search engines and have come up short on a download for this patch. I need this patch to save my game and get passed the Elite Four, but as I said I have yet to find a link for this download. Can anyone pass me a link for the Save Patch to Pokemon Fire Red?

    Also, I downloaded the 1.1 version because I know it has the save patch in it, however when I patched it with pokemon liquid crystal it fails to work on my VBA. When I open it all it has is a White Screen and a really bad noise blasts into my speakers. Any ideas about how to fix that?

    I too had a problem like this with the Fr rom but it was solved by changing the save type. It can be changed by: Options->Emulator->Save type. Set the save type to flash and from flash 64k to 128k. This may solve your problem. Just try it once as it worked for me! :)

    Didn't work for me. :( Any other ideas? I'll expand, I'll try to save, it'll start to but then say Save Erorr, install back up memory. And what is a 1M sub-something anyway?

    If you are playing a rom and recieving these error messages even after changing the save type then there is probably some problem with your rom and you need to download a new clean rom. I don't think there is an other way round.And I have never heard of patches needed to run a rom. Plese don't ask where to download as it will mean breaking PC rules. Just google and hope that your downloaded rom is not faulty. I am sorry as I have been of no help.:(

    EDIT: Have you tried first deleting the save before trying to change the save type? First try to delete your save file, then open VBA and change the save type, load your previous save state from file->load and then save in-game. If this doesn't solve it then it may be a faulty or bad rom.

    Yup, it was the rom. Now I need to re get Shiny Gold patch and some other ones. :(
