My friend and I are currently hacking Pokemon FireRed, and making minor changes to Pokemon's base stats (example: Gyarados' Spec. Attk. up by 20, Spec. Def. down by 10, Attk. down by 10), and some nice additions to the map. But we are in a bind here, with Tyranitar. He currently carries a Dark/Rock typing, giving him double weakness to Fighting, and weaknesses to Bug, Water, Grass, Steel, and Ground. We are thinking of changing his typing to Dark/Ground. He would then carry only 5 weaknesses, Fighting, Bug, Water, Grass, and Ice, with no double weakness. The reason I am posting about this here is I need your thoughts on whether we should do this or not. On one hand, it would eliminate weaknesses. On the other, is it right to just do that? I mean stat changes is one thing, but a type change is a lot more extreme. We will change it based on whether you guys want it changed or not. We are not creating this hack for ourselves. It's for the rest of the world, and we want to know what the rest of the world thinks about this Tyranitar situation. We have already made Gyarados a Water/Dragon type, Krabby and Kingler Water/Ground types, Krabby learns Earthquake at level 47, and Kingler at level 62. And now if you visit a certain man in Kanto, all the move tutors are reset, so more than 1 pokemon can learn a move from the move tutor. The TMs Earthquake, Psychic, and SolarBeam are now able to be purchased from the Celadon Dept. Store, in place of Attract, Roar, and Dig (Wild Dugtrio now carry the Dig TM). Thoughts on Tyranitar? Thanks and much appreciated.

You might wanna ask in ROM Hacking. Asking here won't really get you any results, I'm afraid.
