[Question] Pokemon following help

hi, I would like to implement the pokemon following system, but I would like only the chosen starter to follow you, in yellow pokemon style

Okay, so sounds to me like you should implement the "Following Pokemon" script, but tweak it such that it is only your starter following you.
This can be done by having the pokemon from the script appear in a variable, and will require a fair amount of editing.

yes, I wanted to implement the follow system, the problem is that I am not an expert in programming

i understood, but if the starter evolves how do i change the sprite?
