It is a sunny Monday morning. You sit down, and read a newspaper. An article captures your attention, and you flip to the page, and start reading:
A new region?:


298 A.A. (After Ash)
Scientists have discovered a new region, which is currently known as "Magellan", after the explorer. It is situated some where north of the Hoenn region, and doesn't seem to have any new Pokemon. They believe there have already been people who have settled there, and there are various ruins, including an abandoned port city. They've recently sent a few scientists to explore the countryside, setting up way-points, and small settlements. Very recently, the scientists have had hostility with the tribes of the region. These tribesmen carry Pokemon, which the scientist don't have much of, and the ones who do, don't have much experience. If you've read this far, type "Columbia" as the first password. At this time period, becoming a trainer costs a large amount of money, knowing this, the scientists have put up ads on the internet to register a choice amount of people trainer cards, and providing them a starter Pokemon.
You put the newspaper down, and hurry home, and go on your computer. You type in the web address, and you sign up. You bring up the registry page:
Sign Ups are closed.
You see a bar, labeled: Starter choice. You click it, and a window opens. It says:

Appearance: Sai is 6'1. He is the average build. His long black hair flow over his eyes if left unchecked and his blue highlights go unnoticed. His face has some zits but not many. His smile shines white and match perfectly with his green eyes. He wears a t-shirt with a light jacket over and below that he wears denim carpenter jeans, mainly for their many pockets. He wears a black belt that carries his current team. He wears on his back a black backpack that holds his potions, extra Pokémon balls, ect. And finally he has around his neck a pair of stereo style headphones.
Personality: Sai is an outgoing person. He equally enjoys the outside and inside. While he is outside he loves playing football and swimming in the ocean. Being in Olivine he love watching battles in the gym. They make his heart beat. Growing up in Olivine, like most who lived there, he toured the light house multiple times. Seeing the Ampharos made him love the electric types

Why do you believe you should be accepted? : Living in Olivine his hearts have thrust to be in battle like he has seen Jasmine in. Also like most kids his age he want to grow close to a Pokémon, but he doesn't want to be like every other kid he wants to explore new land.

Birthday: June 10 284 A.A

Appearance: Dark red hair In the shape of Giratina's crest with many extra spikes, going in different directions. One goes 3 inches high. Bloody Crimson color eyes attract young women, Who do not notice his small scar. His nose is small but noticeable, with its different color of white. Black and red googles cover his forehead almost all the time. He has a beginners tan that covers. His shirt has a gold middle with white in the center. The long sleeves go to the half-point of his arms. His arms are skinny, like the rest of his body. Long jeans that start at his waist and end at his shoes. They have various scratches and scars. A big one is near the small gold tidal wave on them. His shoes were pretty expensive. Black lining covers almost the entire thing, but there is a tint of green right into the little, tight space. He has a Sweat shirt he almost always wears in the Winter. The only Time he does not is bed time. He also wears a white under shirt at ALL times, Including bed time!

Personality: Easy going, but is hyper at times. He is an inside person, thanks to his Video Games Obsession. But he is also is kind-hearted. Has a dark side within him. This "Dark side" is basically A cannibal without the "Eating part". His blood boils in sight of adventure. With his life on the line he would save anyone with a good heart. But his dark past troubles him and others. All his family died except his eighteen year old sister who annoys him so,But love him as well, and his step mother, Who deserves to die with five machetes, stuck up her throat, In fifteen seconds Minimum. Maximum sixteen seconds. She is that bad. Lucky that she got better when they moved to Saffron from Pallet.

Why do you believe you should be accepted?: The ability to care for others in many ways, including risking his life. He also has a need for adventure, which gathering data would be. He's also very fast. Pretty acrobatic. Smart and others.

Starter: Magby. The small thing starts so cute, and then it becomes a giant lava monster with flame-throwers for arms! How Epic is that!?

"BLEEEUUURRRGGG!!!! I hate ferries" I said while puking overboard.
"Maybe signing up to explore this place wasmt such a good idea........"I had just signed up to explore the new Maggelan Region and was on my way to the old portcity there.....Half an hour and a whole lot of puking later.......
Thank god I had finnaly arrived I found myself leaving the boat with 10 other trainers when one of them approached me and said"I guess that must be the pokemon lab where we get our pokemon....lets Go" he said pointing to a white building with a windmill on top. "What a know it all...."I thought "but I guess hes right I concluded.
I walked into the building with the other trainers and a man in a lab began to address us. "Hello" he began "you must be the new vict-I mean trainers we have recruted.Welcome.Here are your pokemon.

The man preceded to ask me my name I told him that I was Josh and he immediately handed me a pokeball.Hmmmmmmm I thought this must be happiny......

He also gave me some pokegear colors to chose from I chose the green one and walked out of the lab when A girl came up to me and said "Hey there my names Alex wanna battle?"

"OK I replied but not right now wait here and Ill be back later"

The reason I kept Alex waiting was that I wanted to catch another pokemon first so I went to the poke mart and but a net ball as I was near the water and heaven behold 5 minutes later I was jumped by a Wingull.

"WINGULLLL!!!"the pokemon shouted. it was raring and ready to go.
"Go Happiny!"I cried.
The little pink pokemon came out in a flash of light.
Happiny use pound I cried. (I never got Happinys move set so Im just going to assume it nows pound k ;) )

It was a direct hit the wingull went flying backwards and hit the floor it was then I realised its odd coloring thats strange I thought but u know meh.
"Go net ball I cried as the pokeball went it shook a couple of times and then stopped signalling that I caught it
(will put battle against alex in next post if thats ok)

Hello Here is Chapter one.
Nate was taking the ferry. He looks across the horizon, to see tents set up with large stone pillars. Near them are woods. A huge building sits in the middle of the "Town". It is a large white house with a windmill on top. A trainer goes and speaks to you "I guess that must be the Pokémon lab we get our Pokémon from... let's go".
"Know it all." Muttered another.

All you walked quickly to the large building. The door then opens automatically. A man it a lab coat is at the door.
"Hello, you must be the new vict- I mean trainers we've recruited. Welcome. These are your Pokémon." He then gives you a small lizard like creature. "What is your name?"
" Nate sir." Nate replies.
He then gives Nate a pokeball with a small lizard with a flower-like head inside.

"This is Magby." He then hands him a small black and white device that resembles the "Apple iphone"
"This is a Pokégear. It has many apps, including the Pokédex. Scuttle along now."
Nate walks outside into the large forest. He finds a small pigeon; He pulls out his Gear and selects the dex. He points it at the pigeon and in an Electronic voice it replied with Pidgey and Krabby. Pidgey: Is a small predator that eats small worms and fish. Krabby: It uses its claws to pick up fish and then shreds' it with its sharp mouth, Then it hunt for more and does the same progress.
"Wha? I do not see this Krabby thing." Just then a small darkish yellow crab comes.
"That's it!" Nate shouted.
"Go Magma!" He sends out the creature and yells, "Smog attack!"
The small creature responds by shouting out a cloud of smoke out of its mouth, at Pidgey. The smoke weighs down the bird. "Now Ember! He (Magma) Shoots out flames from his mouth and shoots it at Pidgey, Pidgey reacts by blowing a gust of wind. Some of the flames get reflected by the wind but most hit Pidgey. Pidgey starts to look insanely injured, from the Smog and Ember. Pidgey flies at Magma and kicking sand at it. Nate Yells, "Ember plus Smog!" Magma started it but get hit by Vice Grip from Krabby, Thus making it miss.
Nate then grabs a small red and white ball out of his bag, and throws it at Pidgey.
The ball opens and sucks in Pidgey … It wiggles and wiggles.
"Come on, come on, Come on!" Nate yells "Please be Caught!"

Ok! I guess i'll catch a pidgey later... I'll work on the battle now.

Here is The battle Now.
The ball does not catch Pidgey and it flees, and then when it was about to return to Nate, it strikes the oddly colored Krabby and catches it instead. "Drat! I wanted a Pidgey!"
{Calm Down, Calm down, you can catch it later.} Magma convinced, in pokéspeak.

"Wait!" Nate yelled not understanding Magma. "I remember a guy told me to battle him, once I catch my first Pokémon!" He runs to the meeting place, to see the same guy using potions on a Bidoof and a Krabby.
He also sees another trainer with a Happiny Yelling "I won, I won!"
"Hello," The challenger says to Nate, "The names Justin." He introduced. "Bidoof go! Send out yours!"
"Go Magma! Use Smog, On that Bidoof!"
{Yes sir!} Magma replied, while doing the job.
The smog hits Bidoof, blinding it.
"Use Tackle!" Justin commanded.
The creature does as so, but was blinded by the smoke, so it crashes into the nearby tree.
{Nnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooo sir, I failed you……} Bidoof replied, as it fainted.
"Go Krabby!" Yelled Justin, Releasing the Pre-weakened crab, "Bubble!" The crab shoots out some bubbles at Magma who does an back flip, and grips on the tree it landed on, it then leered at Krabby, stunning it and lowering its defenses
"Ember!" Nate yells.
{Gotcha! You're doomed little crab!} Magma yelled, shooting out the Shotgun Attack, While each one slams into the small oddly colored crab, Almost making it faint.
Krabby shot out bubbles out of its mouth, without the trainers command.
Unfortunately, it gets blocked by the smog that was released earlier, making it fail, and the energy Krabby uses K.Os it.

"Wow you are strong! Here is an Egg I found." Said Justin, Giving the small egg, to Nate.
"Thanks! See ya!" Said Nate.

There are woods surrounding the settlement. A road to the north leads toward it. Howls are heard from it almost every night. Trees are limber, and you can barely just see what's on the other side of them.

For those who want to explore the nearby ruins:
You look left and right, an opening near the woods has a few stone buildings. As you get closer, You see obelisks, and buildings seem to have pictures of "letters" with eyes. Two obelisks are adjacent to each other standing in front of the largest stone building. You read the stone pillars, and they make no sense to you. "ADRUM" it says on one, and "LOOX" on the other. They don't seem to mean much to you, as you can not understand them. Around the city, there are a few letters which seem to rearrange themselves.
