Opening

Spoiler:

Pokemon Trainers, they are the ones who capture pokemon in little red and white balls to battle with other trainers, trying to get stronger and become the best. The forge bonds of friendship and strength with their friends and pokemon.

We are not Trainers, but we do form bonds of friendship and strength with pokemon and people alike.

Pokemon Rangers, they are the ones who capture pokemon for a short amount of time by using small disks. They borrow a pokemon's abilities to help them with what is needed. They even have one pokemon who follows them everywhere.

We are not Rangers, but we do borrow a pokemon's abilities.

We are a special breed of humans. We have the power to merge with pokemon to fight and protect.

We are the Pokemon Mergers.

Plot

Spoiler:

The evil teams such as Team Rocket, Team Magma, Team Aqua, all of them, even the enemies of the rangers, have put aside their differences and banded together to try and rule the pokemon world. They call themselves Team Unity

Trainers and Rangers alike have also banded together to try and fight this new group. For the moment, everything is at a stale mate, with small battles in between. But things are changing, Team Unity is gaining power and beginning to press forward, capturing very strong pokemon and forcing them to do evil deeds.

To up their numbers, a new group of people were added to the good side of the fray. The Pokemon Mergers. These people could pull the energy of any pokemon into their bodies and use their abilities.

In this story, you can be in any of the three good teams...or you can join Team Unity and try to take over the world.

Rules

Spoiler:

1. No Godmodding.
2. No controlling other characters that don't belong to you.
3. A Merger can only hold up to five abilities at a time.
4. Rangers can only have seven pokemon at a time, including their partner pokemon.
5. Trainers can only have six pokemon at a time, but you can use a PC.
6. A merger can only use one ability at a time, if you are using an ice abilitiy and want to use a fire, you have to switch to the ability.

Bio: He was always different as a child. Pokemon came to him like he was a berry. It didn't matter if it was a wild pokemon or a trainer's pokemon. When he was ten he found out why. Whenever he touched a pokemon, he felt a sort of spark of energy inside of them, if he focussed, he could pull on that energy and take it into himself. Once inside of his body, he found that he could use this energy to enhance his own body and take on the abilities of the pokemon he borrowed from. This was an amazing power, but he also found out the drawbacks as well as the gifts. He found that if he took the energy of more than five pokemon, it made him sick and exhausted. The energy boost before the fatigue was amazing, but he saw that this might kill him eventually, so he limited himself to only five pokemon energies at a time.

When he was thirteen, he was recruited into the Pokemon Mergers and quickly ascended their ranks, becoming one of the best. His greatest ambition is to be able to get close enough to a Legendary Pokemon to see their energy.

RP Beginning.

The young man was running toward the fire. Apparently, Team Unity had a base under the building that was now on fire. When they found out that their base was no longer secret, they set fire to it.

"Why did they make their base under a apartment building" Seraph said quietly. He looked up as a piece of the building fell "Crap" his eyes flashed and he vanished using a Quick Attack to move faster to get to the young couple who just so happened to be standing to close to the building in the first place.

"Lets go!" he closed his eyes then reoppened them. His normally light purple eyes were deep blue and his skin took on a grayish tinge. He raised his hand and grinned, as the piece of the building dropped onto him.

Instead of crushing him, he was holding it in his hands "The strength of a Machamp" he said as he gently set the piece down.

Seraph looked at the couple "You two really shouldn't be here" he said sternly.

"Sorry" the man said "We just wanted to see this up close"

Seraph shook his head and shooed them away as his skin returned to its normal color. He looked around at the nearby buildings and found a fire escape. Rushing up it, he looked down at the burning building and took a deep breath. His eyes flared and turned a deep red like a jewel. His skin became purple.

"Starmie" he said softly and opened his arms, letting a large blast of water surge forward "Surf attack" the water hit the building and flooded through every hall and down into the basement.

He sighed as the last of the fire went out and he sat down breathing deeply as his body returned to its human state "Wow, never had to use that many abilities at the same time" he laid back "I am beat!"

Bio: Marina has always harbored a strong love for Pokemon. Particularly the fire type. Growing up she read book after book about Pokemon and when she was ten she received her first Pokemon a Growlithe from her father as a present and started her own journey. Along the way she challenged the gyms and caught five other Pokemon being a monotype trainer. Even with this fact Marina managed to beat all eight gyms earning all the badges by the time she was fifteen. Sadly due to her choice to be a monotype Pokemon trainer she was unable to beat the Champion of the Pokemon league but didn't care hoping she can use her Fire Pokemon to help defeat Team Unity once and for all.
Personality: Marina has a fiery temper just like the Pokemon she loves so much. She's easily upset and angered and when she is it's hard to calm her down. Marina focuses all her energy in protecting her Pokemon, Friends, and any people she comes across from Team Unity and her recklessness is a grave weakness for her since she can't deny a cry for help.

Age: 17
Appearance: Johnny is of average height and weight. He is quite muscular and pale and his hair is light brown, crunchy and messy. His eyes are reddish brown and hehas a pointed chin.
He wears a black T-shirt with a white U on it, a gray leisure coat, white sneakers and vintage gray jeans. He also carries a white cap with an U on the front. His Eevee is always seen sitting on his shoulder, which rarely fights.
Group: Team Unity
Bio: Life was never good to Johnny. His parents died when he was 1 year old and he lived in an orphanage throughout most of his childhood. Whenever a couple came to adopt, they never even looked at him. Because of that, he was the only constant member of the orphanage and was forced to do all the chores and clean everyone's mess. That filled Johnny's heart with hatred and anger towards the world.
When he turned 15, he ran away from the orphanage, fed up with cleaning other kid's mess and being neglected, and wandered around his hometown. He moved in an abandonded apartment building, where he found a stray Eevee and the two befriended quickly, as both resented the world. One day, some guys in black found him and asked him if he wanted to join Team Rocket. Johnny had heard of the Rockets, and didn't hesitate to say "Hell, yeah.", with Eevee happily agreeing too. He graduated from boot camp one year later, ready to give the world he resented a big wedgie. He stole Pokémon from some trainers, and set his base in one of Team Rocket's fronts, and apartment building. Then Team Rocket joined forces with the Magmas, the Aquas and many more "evil" teams, but Johnny kept operating under that building. When someone ratted him out, he torched town the building with one of the Pokémon he had stolen, after secretly moving everything important to another Team Rocket Base via his Honchkrow.
Personality: Johnny's upbringing has turned him into a sociopath and a cleptomaniac. He would rather fight solo rather thani with a group, and will only do double battles or call for backup if he considers it absolutely necessary to achieve his goal.

I have been away too long...Anyway, time to do some RPing.

Name: Matthew Roberts
Age: 17
Appearance:
- Physical: Matthew has medium-length hair. It covers his ears completely and his fringe covers his eyes in places. It is coloured a dark brown, bordering on black. It is messy because Matt doesn't do anything with it, preferring to leave it to its own devises. His eyes are a light hazel, flecked with a dark green. They are sometimes shrouded in the shadows behind his hair.

Matt is 5'10" and weighs 148lbs. He is light for his height and very skinny. He has a fast metabolism that may have something to do with his frequent use of his ability. He is strong though. His skin hides the kind of wiry muscles that aren't there until they are used. He is fairly pale skinned, having originated from Scotland.

- Clothing: Matt will never be seen in formal clothes. It is something he doesn't do. Matt has two different outfits. During the summer he will wear a short-sleeved t-shirt with a slogan on the front. During the winter this is accompanied by a heavy hoodie. In both these outfits he wears faded blue jeans.
Group: Pokémon Trainer
Bio:
Matt grew up in Sootopolis, the middle of 5 sons. His eldest brother left on an adventure when Matt was 5, leaving in an attempt to become a master trainer. The second eldest brother left only a year before Matt, in an attempt to become a breeder. Matt left under unusual circumstances. They all started when he found an egg. The egg was a Riolu egg. Because Matt had grown up with water and fire Pokémon all around him, he absolutely detested them. He vowed never to use a Pokémon of either type.
Matt looked after his egg for about a month in secrecy before it hatched. The baby Riolu was the most amazing thing Sam had seen and he immediately fell in love with it. He saved up for three months and eventually bought a Pokéball for Sam. With Sam safe in a Pokéball Matt felt ready to leave home at 12. The next day he left.
At dawn Matt left his house and went for a swim, Sam in a Pokéball at his belt. Having grown up in a house 5 minutes from the lake, Matt was able to swim from a very young age. He had been practicing diving for that very day. Diving his way out, only just managing to hold his breath for long enough, Matt got away from Sootopolis. After several days of swimming between small islands Matt made it to the mainland where he began his journey.
Through his journey, Matt fought hard and managed to top 8 the Hoenn League. After that contest he decided to just explore and find out how the people he had met on his journey had faired. He also returned home to find that his oldest younger brother had gone off to become a medical worker in a Pokémon centre.
When Matt heard about the creation of Team Unity he immediately signed up to fight against them.

Personality:
Matt is a kind and polite person. He will treat everyone with respect until they give him a reason not to. His trust is easy to gain first time but easy to lose as well. If you break his trust then it is very difficult to regain it. He believes that everyone should be given one chance and if they break it then they need to prove that they deserve another one.
Pokémon:
Riolu – Sam
Sam was Matt's first Pokémon. He is a slightly smaller than the average Riolu but makes up for it with speed and strength. Sam is Matt's best friend and their bond is very close. To separate one from the other would be like pulling someone in half. Neither will give up as long as the other is still fighting. Sam also knows Aura Sphere. Sam is very quiet and calm. He is very difficult to provoke into an attack and is deadly loyal to Matt.
Bisharp – Sint
Sint was the third Pokémon that Matt got. Matt got Sint through a trade as a Pawniard. Sint distrusted Matt at first but after a short battle between Sint and Sam, a mutual respect appeared. Sint is the only Pokémon in Matt's team that can keep up with Sam. Sint is also very strong, able to K.O. many opponents in one hit.
Ampharos – Shunt
Shunt caused a lot of trouble for Matt. Shunt was a particularly troublesome Mareep that had been ambushing travellers leaving Petalburg City. Shunt attacked Matt while leaving the city from the top of a hill. This caused Matt to retreat into the town for a short period of time. The next day Matt left the town to confront the Mareep who managed to badly injure Sam before finally getting caught. The amount of effort it took to bring down that Mareep gave it the nickname Shunt. Shunt was the third member of Matt's team and was the fourth Pokémon Matt got.
Tyranitar – Thorn
Thorn was an injured Larvitar that Matt came across while traversing a mountain. Thorn was walking on an injured leg using a stick to help her move. Matt quickly caught her in a Pokéball and took her to the nearest Pokémon centre. After a day in care she was recovered. Matt tried to release her but she refused to go. Thorn was reluctant to give up her stick until after she had evolved. The nickname still lived on though.
Eevee – Sliver
Sliver is an unusually coloured Eevee given to Matt by his eldest brother. Sliver's fur is a pale silver colour rather than the usual brown. He is a normal sized Eevee and is very fond of running around. So much so that Matt has his hands full trying to keep Sliver under control. Because of this Sliver often gets into a lot of trouble which Matt ends up sorting out. Sliver is also the only Pokémon in Matt's team that doesn't actually battle, preferring to watch instead.
Salamence – Raya
Raya is the oldest Pokémon in Matt's team. She belonged to a trainer who mistreated her and eventually fell to his death. After that Raya spent several years ruling over a forest until Matt caught her. Although initially unable to trust Matt, eventually Raya warmed to him. She is now his best way of getting around and also a very talkative Pokémon, loving to sit around the campfire with the others, talking away to everyone.

Name: Hazone "Magicman" Babalaboone
Age: 29
Appearance: Hazone looks like a juggler from Pokemon G/S with the addition of a mustache and a Black Wizard Hat.
Group: Team Unity
Bio: Hazone was a simple street magician, performing with his family at a weekly event. One day, his family was taken from him, and he fell into despair. Not being able to afford anything, he had to turn to crime to keep himself alive. He then noticed how good he was at what he did, an absolutely uncatchable magician when it comes to crime. He was approached by Team Unity with an invitation to become one of their Admins, and he accepted. Now he is known as the "Magicman", one of the best of the worst!
Personality: Hazone believes life is a grand stage and he has to put on a show for everone, which is why everytime he's around, he adds a little excitement to his schemes. Damage is always doubled, if not tripled because of his displays of rogue fireworks, explosive force and sparks. He is almost always in a good mood, making the best out of the worst scenarios, usually laughing of losses with a promise of a bigger, better show next time. Hazone enjoys his work as the Houdini of Crime. He loves a good challenge, hoping they will help make it the greatest show of all!

Name: Seto Kimishina
Gender:Male
Age:19
Appearance: Seto's hair is a light brownish color, messy enough that it covers his left eye. His eye's are colored a shining silver, people often comment that he looks like he has two mini moons for his eyes. He is slightly tanned, no scars or tatoos. When not in community service attire, he would wear a white trimmed black jacket, with a black shirt and black jeans. His shoes, or rather boots are colored gray trimed black. He wears one red glove on his right hand.

Group: Pokemon Merger

Bio: Seto grew up in Vermilion City, having a pretty miserable childhood. He had a very bad relationship with his parents, often leading him to get into fights with both of them. Throughout his childhood, he resented others, and stayed away from them, scaring off those who tried to come close. At the age of 12 he had grown indepent, rebelling against his parents, and doing whatever he wanted. One day while he was walking through the streets of Vermillion, he spotted a Lucario, stealing food from one of the shops.
As it ran past him, the store clerk yelled at him to stop him. Instead of stopping it however, Seto followed it into one of the surrounding forests, where he befrended it, finding a new level of respect for pokemon, and finding out that it was a girl. He named it Shilshadu. She however, did not want to join is pokemon team, and even though this confused him, he ignored it for some time. They began to spend a lot of time together, stealing and whatnot, this lead to Seto leaving his parents and house(not without stealing food for himself first mind you) and going to live with Shadu(nickname) in the forest.
While in the forest, she trained him for a change. Shadu teaching Seto to be faster, unseen,and even some fighting techniques, while Seto taught her moves and such. One night, at the age of 15, while coming back from another one of their "raids" they were ambushed by a Haunter trying to steal what they had stolen. Seto and Shadu were able to protect their stash and the Haunter, seeing he was beaten, decided he might as well join them, and he became Seto's first pokemon to join his team. One year later, while unable to sleep, Seto lay awake on his sleepingbag outside.
He saw Shadu leaving, and she seemed to be taking some of the food with her. Seto followed her, making sure to be unseen, as this could be the reason he had been noticing missing food ever since he had joined her. In the end, he found his suspicions were correct. As he guessed, she was feeding her son, Riolu. When she found out that he had followed her, she admitted to stealing the food for it, seeing no point in denying it, for he had already seen it. Seto now had another purpose for doing what he did.
Two years later, Seto was alone, the hideout empty except for himself the Haunter had had captured and named Kain, and the Riolu. He had screwed up majorly, as it was his own fault Shadu got caught by the police. She had sacrificed herself to let him get away, but he had never seen her again. This happened a year ago, and ever since then he has been training both Riolu(who evolved to Lucario and was named Soren) and Kain so that they would be strong enough to help Seto rescue Shadu, or in other terms, break her out. This is when he himself got caught, and even though he tried to let Soren and Kain go, they stuck with him, also getting caught.
The police were able to link this attempt, with the break in attempt on the bank one year ago, unfortunately for him. He was then sentenced to community service, almost torture for him seeing as he hated the community. Eventually, when his time was up, and he was let out, he still kept his personality, and the desire to free Shadu, but decided he would have to do so patiently. One day when he was training with his pokemon and was blocking a kick from Soren, he felt his energy drain, but also some sort of power now within him. As if on instinct, he lifted his hands,which were glowing blue, and pointed them towards Soren, open palmed. Instantly, Soren was pushed back into one of the tree's in their camp. Soren looked at his hands, question in his eyes. He experimented with his other pokemon, and found that when he touched him, he felt drained again, but gained one of the pokemon's abilities. He kept going until he got to six, but he passed out then. When he woke the next day, he decided to limit himself to only five powers.

Personality: Seto can come across as a shady person, and is often called "cold as ice." This attutude however does not interfere with his pokemon. He shares a strong bond with each of them, and feels as though they are the only ones that truly understand him. Because of this personality, he has no friends, and does not open up to people easily, as it is hard just to get past his "Go away" appearance. He tends to anger easily, and is not quick to forgive. He will come across as a "loner" and hard-hearted.

Species: Haunter
Name: Kain
Gender:Male
History: Kain, was himself a theif, stealing from both stores and other thiefs. He was caught in the act by Seto and Shadu, and was captured by Seto, becoming his first official pokemon. Originally he only joined Seto and Shadu just to steal, but he eventually grew closer to Seto. His ability to phase through walls was a great addition to the group of theives, he is also an adept fighter.

Species: Lucario
Name: Soren
Gender: Male
History: Even if Soren was Seto's third pokemon by count, he was his second in terms of how close they were. He is the son of Shadu the Lucario, and was raised mostly by Seto. He was discovered by him when he followed Shadu to Soren's hiding place, where she had been feeding him and hiding him. When Shadu was captured, he gave his all in helping Seto break into the prison to try and free her. Unfortunately the group was caught, but Soren stayed by Seto's side, even when he tried to make him leave. Soren was born with longer spikes in the back of his hands.

Name: Kendall Rayne
Age: 18
Appearance: Long, pigtailed blond hair, with dark brown eyes. Her height is 5'7'' and she weighs about the average for her height. She wears a light blue tank top, covered with a tan jacket, black denim shorts, and dark blue slip on shoes. She also wears midnight blue biker gloves.
Group: Pokemon Rangers
Bio: Kendall's parents had wanted her to be a trainer, but she was dead set against it, knowing she wanted to be a Pokemon Ranger, as that was the profession her birth mother had occupied. Her birth mother had died during one of her Ranger missions, and so her father would never agree to allow her join. So when she was ten, she set out, saying she was starting her Pokemon journey, but instead, upon reaching the professor's lab, asked for transportation to Almia, to go to the Pokemon Ranger school. There, she studied until she was fourteen, her partner Pokemon being Pachirisu.
After leaving the academy, she traveled across the other regions, helping out trainers and such when needed. She jumped from place to place, not comfortable hanging around one place too long. Despite her constant jumping around, she always managed to run into Team Unity. When her father found out about her being Ranger, and fighting Team Unity, and he demanded her home, but due to the fact that she is now 18, she said that she would fight, and defeat Team Unity if it killed her.
Personality: Kendall is hardheaded, and anytime someone tells her she can't do something, she has to prove that she can, which is her biggest weakness. She's willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needs it, but usually refuses others help, thinking she can do anything on her own.
Pokemon: Pachirisu
Other: Although she only has one personal Pokemon, she often calls upon a Jolteon, her mother's original Partner Pokemon. Kendall also has the childhood nickname of "Rayne" by her childhood best friend, Jason.

Marina looked up from the book she was reading as she rested when she smelled smoke in the air. Putting the book away she stood stretching her back for a moment before running towards the smell. Right when she got there she saw water flood the burning building and the flames slowly went out. Getting closer she saw a boy on-top of one of the nearby buildings and she climbed up the fire escape "Seems like you had everything under control." she said right before hearing he was beat. "My names Marina, you okay?"

Seraph turned his head and looked at her "Yeah, I am fine" he said smiling "It is nice too meet you, my name is Seraph" he looked back to the building "Team Unity has been at it again, they rather lose all of their things than have us get it"

 

[Tony Montana]

A shady guy with an Eevee on his shoulder were looking at the building in flames. They both saw the fire was put out, but didn't seem to care much about it.

"Whoa, Johnny, looks like you got a little got under the collar..."
"Yeah, so hot it burned down da place....with dat rat in it...He had it coming tho." He paused for a brief moment "Let's get outta 'eer...Honchkrow, go!"

"Krrow!" the Pokémon said as he came out.

"Honchkrow, take us away from here, but be sure to go low-key...We don't wanna draw unnecessary attention..."

"Krrow!" the Honchkrow said and the shady guy got on him, with the Eevee holding on to him.

"Hold, tight, toots..." the guy said to his Eevee as the Flying Pokémon took off and flew away silently.

"Drop us off over there, Honchkrow." he said and the Pokémon landed on a rooftop. "Now come back" he said and sent him back to the Pokéball.

"What happened to all your stuff there, Johnny?" the Eevee asked.
"Relax. I got everything covered. Honchkrow moved my most important things outta there. It's all in a warehouse by the docks." the guy answered.
"Good..." the Eevee said and the two stared at the city below them.

 

[SV]

As the flame-engulfed building was vented with water, an odd-looking man with a Black-pointed Hat look on from a distance. The building was ordered to be terminated after it's apparent discovery.

Hazone Babalaboone smiled. He could not hide his happiness. He had been with Unity for quite some time now, and it was nice to see somone put up a fight, in some way.

Perhaps, He thought, these are the ones I've been looking for, the ones who will help me make my greatest performance of all!

He checked his watch, "Time to go." He got out a Pokeball and brought out his Alakazam.

"Alakazam, Teleport back to base."

The "Magicman" took one more look back at the smokey building, a grin on his face,
and vanished.

 

[Fearless Love]

A girl opened her eyes, staring at the mass of flames before her. Slowly and surely, they began dying down, and her form retreated. She pushed her blond bangs away from her eyes, wiping away any remains of sweat. She had been of no use to putting that fire out. In fact, she'd needed saving, and by a kid none the less. The worst part was, she knew the kid.

She pushed her back against the alley wall, facing away from where the smoke and fire were currently located. She slid to the ground, holding one knee up to her chest, putting her forehead against it. Her eyes closed, and she took in the air, which still had the scent of the fire lurking about.

"Pachi! Pachi risu!" she opened one eye to stare at the little electric critter at her feet. It's big tail was waving about, its head cocked to the side.

She reached her hand out, rubbing it across the Pachirisu's head.

Upon the smell of ashes, and the fire that began descended the atmosphere, she quickly glanced behind the wall. Whatever was left of that fire was of no concern to her now. So she stood to her feet, calling her Pokemon up to her shoulder, which it obeyed. She stepped out of the alley, ready to head away from the town, but made an instant judgement to head back towards the fire.

She regretting that decision almost immediately, as she collided with some walking in the opposite direction. She landed with a plop, Pachirisu squealing from atop her shoulder. She looked up, crossing her arms at the person she'd run into. She squinted, and then rolled her eyes.

Of course, she had to run into him.

The shady guy and his Eevee were staring at the city. The burned building was within their sight, and the guy smiled evilly as he looked at it.

"Time to check things out at da warehouse. Honchkrow, take us to da warehouse, pronto!" the guy said and sent out Honchkrow. He hopped in, with Eevee hanging on to his shoulder and the bird Pokémon took off. He got to his destination pretty quickly. He placed Eevee on the ground "Wait here..." he said to both Pokémon and he entered the warehouse. "Good...everything's okay..."

He got out of the warehouse and locked it. "Okay, back downtown..." he said and hopped on Honchkrow, grabbing his Eevee in the process. THe bird then took off.

"Where are we going now, Johnny?" the Eevee asked.
"Remember that snake who sold me out?" he said, and Eevee nodded. "Well, he's not gonna need his fancy condo anymore, so we're gonna move in there." the Eevee smiled and the guy gave directions to Honchkrow to the place.

"This is it. Land on that balcony" the shady guy said and hopped out of his bird Pokémon, and then returned it to his Pokéball. "Let's go in." he said and carefully put Eevee on the floor, opening the door and accesing the condo. It had a great view of the city.

"Whaddya think?" he said to his Eevee, and she hopped around saying "It's...amazing..." looking around in astonishment. Then she jumped on a couch there as his partner closed the door. Then he looked out of the window towards the city.
