    I was wondering what season/episode of pokemon we are introduced to the pokemon involved in Ruby/sappire games. Sorry if this is the wrong thread.
     
    The formal introduction of the Generation III Pokémon in the anime in Japanwas in the Advanced Generation, while the American season in which this happened was Pokémon: Advance. The very first Generation III Pokémon is seen in EP205, though: The Kecleon Caper. This was in the original series, as denoted by Japan, and in the American season called Johto League Champions.
