Pokemon help...

Hi, I'm here looking for some Pokemon card guidance for my nephew. He's 8 and new to the world of Pokemon and when I asked him if there was anything he needed he said EX cards but that to get them you just have to be lucky but he's 8 and doesn't know the full scope of the internet. I honestly have no clue what an EX card is or where to start. I looked on Amazon and saw that you can get EX cards in certain game packs and he may have those already. Can someone point me towards something he more than likely doesn't have, something cool you can't buy at a regular Toys R Us, or if there are any EX cards I can buy him? I'm sorry, I really know nothing about this stuff hence why I went to the trouble of making an account. I also hope I'm not out of bounds posting this in this forum.

You can try to buy tins. They come with specific EXs (So you can buy the one you need) and you get some booster packs.

Do not but from Toys R Us as their stuff is over priced.
