Pokemon iv question?

On the sites you find Pokemon iv in many case you get a lot of different outcomes. So am I right in thinking if you put stats in to get possible outcomes then power them up and do it again the result that comes up both times is the actual iv of that Pokemon?

Just done this with a dragonair and the highest % was the only result to come up both times.

Sounds logical, but I can't confirm using that method myself.

If you use https://pokeassistant.com/main/ivcalculator there is literally a "Refine" button you can press after powering up your Pokemon which will ensure that what you're hoping to see takes place. It will either narrow it down to a smaller field or get you to the exact IV immediately.
