In the Game you start with the same people in Crystal Boy or Girl. When you start off you get your Pokemon and then you go and get your Pokedex from Oak. Once you leave Prof. Elm calls and tells you that Team Rocket went to the Future through Profs. Elm Time Machine and Destoried a whole town. So you need to Go to the Future and stop Team Rocket and Destory them for Good.
