Nick Lariyato

Name: Nick Lariyato

Gender: Male
Personality: Nick is a very shy guy. He sometimes comes off as stuck up because of his personally when around strangers, but he is actually very scared to be around people he doesn't know. However, when his family, friends, or Pokémon are in danger, his attitude turns into that of a Rhyhorn that has just had water splashed on it. Although he is shy, he is still very nice and because of this has many friends that care for and love him.​

Appearance: Nick is semi tall, standing at 5'4'' and weighs just 110 pounds. He is skinny, but not unhealthily so. He usually wears a green shirt with a white leather jacket of it. He wears black jeans and takes pride in his white shoes that were designed specifically for him. Because he enjoys running, he had someone make shoes that were specially designed for his feet, and that had spikes on the bottom of them so he would be able to run better in the mud or on a slippery surface. During the cold, Nick wears mostly the same thing, only wearing sweatpants instead of his jeans. For formal occasions, Nick wears a traditional suit, with a white shirt, black jacket, black pants, black shoes, and a tie that is appropriate for the occasion.​

History: Nick's parents divorced when he was 12, and his Mom moved him and his little sister, who is 3, to Littleroot Port. Before the move, when they were living in Pallet Town, Nick was, you could say, a 'social-butterfly'. He was very outgoing and fun loving, but since the move Nick retreated into his 'shell' and only comes out when he is around his friends or family.​

The move brought his little family of three so close together that they seldom fight. They are always there for each other when they need each other most, and can see what mood the other is in before they say a word. Because of the move, Nick's mom is having trouble financially to support the family, and Nick hopes to become a Pokémon Master to not only rekindle his outgoing side and to gain friends, but to gain the economic benefits and help support his family.​

Personality: Charles is not very outgoing and struggles to make many friends. However, he is fiercely loyal to the friends he does have. He will do anything and everything for his friends, and believes this will translate to his pokémon. He doesn't care what others think of him and often ignores people that are rude to begin with. He can be very sarcastic with people, which can lead to some unwanted tension; particularly people he has just met.​

Apperance: Charles is quite short at just 4 foot 6. He is quite skinny and has a youthful face. He has bright blue eyes and medium length light-brown hair, with a long fringe that reaches the top of his eyes. Charles usually wears dark jeans which are slightly baggy and a red three quarter length t-shirt with a short sleeve plain black t-shirt over the top.​

Formal - Charles wears a smart, tight fitting black shirt with a plain white tie. With this he wears black trousers and smart shiny black shoes.​

Cold - When it is cold, Charles where's the same clothes as in normal weather, but throws a thick black coat on top of his normal clothes.​

History: Charles was born in Mossdeep City. He lived there until recently when his family moved to Littleroot Town. On the whole Charles enjoyed living in Mossdeep, but it did prevent him from beginning his pokémon journey at the normal age of ten. Mossdeep was too far removed from mainland Hoenn for Charles to just go on his own to pick up a pokémon, and unfortunately his parents were too busy to go with him. Now that he has moved to Littleroot, however he has received permission from his parents to finally begin his pokémon journey.​

Since a young age, Charles has loved pokémon. He used to spend hours watching pokémon battles from the pokémon league on television. Growing up on an island meant that he was not exposed to a wide variety of pokémon, he wants to make up for this by seeing as many pokémon as possible during his journey's around Hoenn. One of his favourite memories as a child was going Wailmer watching with his parents, this was one of the events that cemented his love for pokémon and inspired him to become a trainer. ​

Gender: Male​

Appearance: Jay is quite tall for his age, nearly six feet high. However, he is also very thin and wiry, and has a tendency to hunch over when he stands up. Due to this, he never looks very tall. Jay has wavy blonde hair which he thinks makes him look 'hot' but in reality makes him constantly appear as though he has just got out of bed. He has green eyes which he thinks of as a horrible sludge green, though they are really quite brightly coloured. Jay's nose is long and hooked, giving his face a snide, arrogant appearance. Jay wears a variety of clothes, but he normally dons some kind of green top and jeans. In cold weather, he'll slip on a jacket or a thick coat on top. When attending formal occaisions, he wears a black jacket and trousers, as well as a green shirt and tie. ​

Personality: At first glance, Jay seems to be something of a recluse, as he rarely speaks to anyone and generally keeps himself to himself. However, he is actually a very determined and fiery person on the inside, though this side of his personality is normally only revealed during arguments or battles. Jay is also something of a computer geek - he has his own laptop and frequently spends time on the internet, speaking online with trainers from around the world. Jay has many friends online, more than he does in the real world. Jay also has a very weird sense of humour.​

History: When he was seven, Jay moved to Kanto from Hoenn after a traumatising incident involving the local professor and a 'scary' Poochyena. He had a hard time settling in at his new school, as the local kids teased him because of his Hoenn accent, his lanky build and, well, anything they could tease him for. Jay did find a few friends in the first few weeks though and was eventually left alone by all but the most spiteful of his classmates. Thanks to his unpopularity, Jay has always felt very nervous around girls, despite being rather attractive (or so he thinks).​

Recently, in the months leading up to his fourteenth birthday, Jay has been looking forwards to his Pokemon journey. As something of a loner, he has been eagerly awaiting a chance to go travelling by himself and enjoy a rest, away from the constraints of civilised society. Had he been given the choice, he would have left at ten, the standard age, but his parent insisted that he wait until he was fourteen, an age they deemed more responsible. Jay gets on well with his parents, but normally enjoys a comfortable silence with them, rather than friendly chatter.​

Personality:

Raven is very shy and timid person. When around many people, he goes out of his way to try and avoid eye contact or just pass right along. However his untangibles are undeniable. He has a sparkling personality when you get to know him, and can pick you up if you're ever down. He shows leadership at times, but at his roots he tries to stay back and be the support character.​

He seems to be more in tune with Pokemon than his own friends. He would sometimes sit out on the hilltops and feed them or simply play with them for hours on end. Granted he was never allowed to have one but the same showed up every day and he found friends that understood who he was.​

Appearence: He wears jeans filled with some pocket change usually, and likes to rock a white t-shirt. Over that he wears a gray hoodie with a pokeball on it. He then lieks to wear a bandana that has a blue scar running down the side of it.​

When it's cold outside he still sticks with jeans and bare hands, but he looks to go with a varsity jacket type fit with a balaclava on his face to protect from swirling winds. Then for some reason he likes to wear a baseball cap.

His formal wear is not too fancy, only with a collared shirt with a purple tie, couple with a pin stripe jacket, a tan pants, and tan shoes to match.

His face is petit, as is his body, and has golden yellow eyes. His hair is black combed down the left eye with purple streaks.​

History: Raven was the name given to him by his father, who had been previously experiencing personal and mental problems, and wanted a place to put the darkness away, where he could care for a child.​

Raven was not allowed to go many places at a young age, often times being allowed only a few hundred meters away from his house. He wasn't able to interact with many people at this point, but he was just in range with pokemon. This would explain why he's shy around others, but so in tune with pokemon. They always scurried up to him for food or just to play with. After school and getting his homework done, he would play outside till dusk playing around with all of them.​

When he turned 10, he tried to get a starter pokemon at his professor's lab, but was once again restricted by his parents to stay by himself at home and keep on his studies. He had other plans.​

Away from notice of his parents, he volunteered down at the local pokemon center to treat injuried pokemon and be the assisstant to Chansey. Months later, he was nominated for an award and was found out by his parents later.​

After consouling with each other, his parents decided to let him reach out farther and pursue his own goals. They thought he would be helping out at the pokecenter mostly, but he later told them that he wanted to expand further in the world and reach out to all.In this journey he would find himself. Face his fears. And conquer his flaw.​

Personality: Grey is calm whenever things around him are calm. He is a follower if whatever must get done doesn't affect his grades, etc., but whenever something comes up and it will affect his life he will take the lead of the project and complete it with his best efforts and intentions. His mood changes as the mood of those around him changes. If it is a rainy day, he will most likely be gloomy, but on a bright day he will be happy and calm. Whenever something sad, devastating, happy, or joyous happens, he usually won't show much emotion. A good way to describe his personality is if the weather is good, he's good, but if the weather is gloomy, he's gloomy. Because of his small size he is usually picked on by kids his age and older. Usually the first time they pick on him is also the last. He has a darks side when someone threatens him or tries to hurt him. People learn that despite his laid back person, he can get mad fairly easily. Outwardly to everyone Grey is very calm and shy, but those who really get to know him will see that he can be very open and talkative, quite the opposite of his normal, laid back personality. Grey is loyal to everyone around him and when he is around strangers, he tends to try to be cool and mysteries to make a good impression, but he usually fails.
Appearence: Grey is fairly tall for his age, being somewhere around 5'5". He is 'shrimpy' you might say. He doesn't work out, and doesn't have much meat on his bones. He wears a formal watch, nothing fancy though. He usually wears contacts, but if you catch him on a bad day he will be wearing wire-rimmed glasses. He has a few freckles here and there across his face. He has a skinny nose, and has the first signs of acne appearing on his forehead. He has a normal sized chin, and thin lips. He is usually wearing gloves on his hands to cover up his bony fingers. His arms are skinny and most would be able to wrap their hand around his wrists. His legs are the same as his arms: skinny and bony. He has fairly big feet for his small size. A good word to describe his figure is 'lanky'. Grey wouldn't be caught dead in shorts. He always wears jeans, and is okay with short sleeved shirts. Underneath his shirt he always wears a white undershirt. Over his shirt he usually wears a gray hoodie (ironic, aye?). He has bleach-white sneakers; they look as if they have never been worn. Though you can't see his socks, he usually wears the socks that are hidden beneath the shoe.
History:Twenty-two years to the day before Grey was born, his brother, Thorn Jr. was born. Twenty-two years later Grey and his twin sister Scarlett were born on a rainy, gloomy day; his parents were Scarlett and Thorn, both were great, wealthy Pokemon trainers. Sadly, Scarlett died at birth. Then to make his birth sadder, his dad died less than a week later. Now Scarlett was a single mom of to boys: the newborn Grey and Thorn Jr., age 10. Then, when Grey was eight and his brother was 18, their mother died. After the deaths of his parents Thorn became estranged from his only left family member, Grey. He left Grey in the care of Mary Iona, a boring, old caretaker. Luckily for Grey it was only two years before he left on his Pokemon journey. But when Grey finally turned ten, Iona wouldn't let him leave. After another two year wait, Grey was able to leave, but with no Pokemon. On a search to find his brother, he ended up in Sangem Town, where there was a Professor, who had a computer. He looked up his brothers name, Thorn Rey Rose Jr. he found out that his brother was the owner of the biggest money-making company and was better known now as Mr. Rose; Grey then knew that his brother would never let him live with him. He was a big shot now, not caring about his orphaned brother. That is when Grey knew that he finally needed to go on his own Pokemon journey.

Gender: Yet another guy​

Personality: Callum is an energetic, optimistic kid from the get go. There's no shy warming up period when someone first meets him, it's right into the personality-probing questions. He can come off as quite rude and too inquisitive due to this, which isn't something he means to do. He has a fiery temper and can be set off by the slightest thing, generally when he loses a battle. This temper can make it hard for him to get friends, but he is never discouraged and never stops trying. He's very determined to finish what he starts, and has a dislike for those who do. He has a far too offensive style to anything, whether it be battling or violent tackle-hugs. When not infuriated, he can be far too affectionate even though he generally dislikes anything feminine. In all, he's a pretty friendly kid with wild exaggerations in his emotions.​

Appearance: When you first lay sight on Callum's hair, you know what to expect from his temper. Yes, his hair is a blazing red-orange which has a tendency to stick up every which-way. It's rather long and his bangs hang in his topaz-shaded eyes. His face, unlike what most people would expect, is just as tan as his body- and yes, he gets a lot of sun. His facial features are rather unremarkable. His jaw is rather squared, even for his young age. He's of a rather normal height of 5'4", and of normal weight, if on the blockier side.​

Callum generally wears a shirt and shorts. His shirt is a plain butter yellow, except the sleeves that are sky blue and completely unshaped. His shorts are made of denim and quite faded. He wears a pair of navy blue sneakers on his feet with lighter blue laces. In the cold, he wears a pair of full-length jeans and a red jumper over the top of his normal shirt. During formal occasions, Callum wears a rather smart midnight blue child's black tie suit. He despises wearing it, however.​

History: Callum was born in Lavaridge to the resident Nurse Joy and her husband. He learnt how to care for injured Pokémon as a result, but he never saw Pokémon Battling as a cruel sport, even when he had to see a Dodrio with one neck snapped have one head removed. When not learning about Pokémon and how to treat their injuries, he was often visiting the hot springs and occasionally frightening the elderly spring-goers.​

When he was eleven, he learnt about the actual option of going out on a Pokémon journey as a genuine trainer, and like most kids, jumped at the chance. After a small amount of nagging his parents, his formerly-a-trainer father decided it would be good for his energetic son to take the opportunity and registered Callum as a trainer. Some time later, on Callum's 12th birthday, he got the letter of confirmation. It was the best present he ever got.​

Chapter 2: The First Battle!
Nick had been walking side by side with his new Squirtle, Rex for over an hour, and it was obvious to him that the blue turtle like creature was tired and hungry.

"Squir… Squir." Rex said with drooping eyes and sloppy, uncoordinated steps.

"You're right, buddy. Let's stop and get some food." Nick and Rex continued walking until they found one of the few trees standing alone of the deserted, mountainous place. They walked under the shade, and let out a long sigh, thankful to be out of the blistering heat. Nick opened his pack and took out a few pieces of bread and a water bottle. Not knowing that there was food that was special for Pokémon, he offered a piece of bread to Rex. Rex gave him an odd look, wondering what his trainer was doing.

"What? You don't want any food?" Nick asked Rex. Rex slapped his hand on his forehead and went scrounging through Nick backpack, looking for food, but to no avail. He slumped down on the ground, looking sad.

"What is it, Rex? You don't eat people food? Maybe my new Pokétech will help me out." Nick said, holding up the device. He opened it, held it up to Rex, and a picture of a Squirtle appeared on the screen. The Pokétech said, in it's mechanical voice:

"Squirtle: The Shellfish Pokémon. It's back hardens into a shell at birth, and it also serves as a propeller that lets it swim through water at high speeds. It can shoot powerful sprays from it's mouth and can from inside it's shell when it's neck is retracted. It's a very adorable Pokémon to many, but evolves and becomes a very formidable opponent to even the most experienced of trainers."

"Wow. It looks like I made the right choice for a partner! But it didn't say anything on your eating habits…" Nick said, and fiddled through his Pokétech and through Pokémon basics, and learned that there is food designed specifically for Pokémon that should be fed to them as opposed to human food. "I'm sorry, Rex! I don't have any Pokémon food for you!" Nick said, feeling bad for Rex. Rex let out a sigh and rubbed his head, feeling his hunger. Just then a nest fell out of the tree, right in front of Rex and Nick. It had Pokémon food in it. Rex's eyes lit up and he lunged for the food, only to have a Pidgey jump in front of him and tackle him to the ground.

"Woah! What's that!?" Nick shouted as he pulled out his Pokétech. He held it up to the Pidgey and once again a picture of Pidgey showed up on the screen and the mechanical voice said:

"Pidgey: The Tiny Bird Pokémon. This Pokémon does not like to fight and usually stays hidden in brush and trees. It has an uncanny sense of direction and can return to it's nest from almost anywhere. It is a good challenge for young Pokémon trainers." Nick slid his Pokétech into the pocket of his sweats and a fierce glow lit up in his and Rex's eyes.

"Alright, Rex. Let's do this!" Nick said, motioning for Rex to face the Pidgey. The Pidgey glared at Rex and Nick, ready to defend it's nest and it's food no matter the cost. It flew straight at Rex, intending to tackle him.

"Don't let it get you like that again, Rex! Jump to the side!" Rex did as he was told, but the Pidgey kept on flying and landed straight in the trunk of the tree with it's beak stuck. It struggled, and Rex took the opportunity to run forward and regain lost ground. "We can help it get out Rex! Tackle it!" Rex's head made collision with the side of Pidgey's body. The force of the hit released Pidgey's beak and sent it spiraling sideways in the direction of the tackle. Pidgey quickly gained control, and the glare in it's eyes got even redder and meaner.

"Pi… Pi…" It said, panting. It went straight for Rex again, who dodged it. However, the Pidgey looked like it was anticipating this, and flew upwards, almost out of view. It then came spiraling down towards Rex, and made direct contact. Rex was knocked down, but he got up, obviously hurt, but still able to go on.

"Great job, Rex! It's tired! Finish it with a tackle!" Nick commanded. Rex lowered his head and hit Pidgey right in the center of it's chest, and knocked it to the ground. Nick took out a Pokéball, pressed the center button to make it grow to its full size, and threw it at Pidgey. The ball burst open in a flash of red light, and enclosed the Pidgey. It started wiggling.

"C'mon, c'mon…" Nick kept repeating.

RP Sample: Ben flew round the corner, almost falling due to the speed at which he was travelling. He couldn't believe that he had overslept; today of all days! He was now sprinting up the path to Oak's lab and barely noticed the many pokémon he was passing in his hurry. He finally reached the door and, breathing heavily, started pounding on it.
"Professor, Open Up"
The door opened to reveal a man in his 60's, with a bulbasaur hiding behind his left leg. "What is the commotion out here?"
"Professor! I'm here to get my pokémon!"
"Very well you better come in" Said Oak, letting the young man in. "You must be Ben? All of the other trainers have already been to collect their pokémon."
"There is one left for me isn't there Professor?" asked Ben, worried that his pokémon adventure may be over before it had even begun.
"Yes, yes don't you worry about that." Said Prof. Oak, sitting down. "I'll give you your starter pokémon once all the data has been loaded onto your Pokédex". As the professor explained this the Bulbasaur that followed him to the door walked into the lab and jumped onto the professor's lap.
"What's a Pokédex professor?"
"A Pokédex is the electronic device on the table. It is designed to catalogue and provide information regarding the various species of Pokémon you might encounter during you journey"
"Oh okay" Said Ben not having truly understood what the professor just said. After that the two of them just sat there for at least couple of minutes; Ben staring into space and Prof. Oak absent mindedly petting Bulbasaur.
"So how'd you get that Bulbasaur Professor?" Ben finally asked; trying to start small talk rather than sit in silence while they waited for his Pokédex to load.

"Oh, well I found this little fella one day while I was conducting my research. "Alright Ben, I've downloaded everything you'll need for your journey, here are your 5 Pokéballs, your Pokédex, and your Bulbasaur" Ben took the items and grinned, his pokémon journey was finally beginning. Placing the empty Pokéballs and the Pokédex in his pocket; he picked up the Pokéball containing his Bulbasaur. He had been waiting a long time for this moment; his first pokémon!
"Ok, Bulbasaur Go!!!!!!!!!!!!" He said throwing the red and white ball. The ball span through the air before landing on the lab floor, opening and...
"Ermm Professor? The Pokéball you gave me... it's empty!? Where's my Bulbasaur?"
"He's right here" Prof Oak said pointing at the Bulbasaur beside him, who looked just as confused as Ben.
"But that Bulbasaur seems really attached to you Professor"
"Maybe," Replied the Professor, "But it's no longer a baby and can't just follow me round the lab all day. It's now old enough to venture out of the lab and see the world with a trainer, you to be precise"
"Okay great" Enthused Ben. He knelt down and smiled at his new Bulbasaur, "Guess that means you're coming with me little guy!"
"Saur" Said the Bulbasaur, turning his head away from his new trainer. 'This might need a little work' thought Ben as he looked down on his new Pokémon.

Name: Jay Jenkins

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Appearance: Jay is quite tall for his age, nearly six feet high. However, he is also very thin and wiry, and has a tendency to hunch over when he stands up. Due to this, he never looks very tall. Jay has wavy blonde hair which he thinks makes him look 'hot' but in reality makes him constantly appear as though he has just got out of bed. He has green eyes which he thinks of as a horrible sludge green, though they are really quite brightly coloured. Jay's nose is long and hooked, giving his face a snide, arrogant appearance. Jay wears a variety of clothes, but he normally dons some kind of green top and jeans. In cold weather, he'll slip on a jacket or a thick coat on top. When attending formal occaisions, he wears a black jacket and trousers, as well as a green shirt and tie.

Personality: At first glance, Jay seems to be something of a recluse, as he rarely speaks to anyone and generally keeps himself to himself. However, he is actually a very determined and fiery person on the inside, though this side of his personality is normally only revealed during arguments or battles. Jay is also something of a computer geek - he has his own laptop and frequently spends time on the internet, speaking online with trainers from around the world. Jay has many friends online, more than he does in the real world. Jay also has a very weird sense of humour.

History: When he was seven, Jay moved to Kanto from Hoenn after a traumatising incident involving the local professor and a 'scary' Poochyena. He had a hard time settling in at his new school, as the local kids teased him because of his Hoenn accent, his lanky build and, well, anything they could tease him for. Jay did find a few friends in the first few weeks though and was eventually left alone by all but the most spiteful of his classmates. Thanks to his unpopularity, Jay has always felt very nervous around girls, despite being rather attractive (or so he thinks).

Recently, in the months leading up to his fourteenth birthday, Jay has been looking forwards to his Pokemon journey. As something of a loner, he has been eagerly awaiting a chance to go travelling by himself and enjoy a rest, away from the constraints of civilised society. Had he been given the choice, he would have left at ten, the standard age, but his parent insisted that he wait until he was fourteen, an age they deemed more responsible. Jay gets on well with his parents, but normally enjoys a comfortable silence with them, rather than friendly chatter.

After what seemed like an age, the pokeball finally stopped shaking and the red light went out.
"YES!" shouted Simon. He had caught his first Pokémon: a Pidgey. Right now, it might not look like much, but with time and hard work it could become a strong Pidgeot. A weak "Pika" roused Simon from his daydreams. He was now stranded in the middle of the route, with both of his Pokémon in critical condition. As Simon wondered what exactly he should do, a tall, dark-haired girl wandered into his view.
"Finally, I've found someone!" she called "I challenge you to a Pokémon battle!" She paused when she saw Simon's Pikachu, obviously injured. "Oh no! Is your Pikachu OK?"
"No, it's in a really bad state, and my Pidgey's hurt as well." he sniffed, close to tears. What would he do if Pikachu was really hurt?
"Let me see," the girl said, and gently took Pikachu from Simon's arms. "Hmmm. He's obviously had quite a battle, but this," and with that she pulled out a small purple bottle, "should help"
"Potion..." gasped Simon, in his haste to get ready, he had forgotten to bring any with him. The girl, who introduced herself as Jade, took out another bottle and asked Simon to let out his newly-caught Pidgey, so she could heal it while he took care of Pikachu.

A while later, after the sun had set, Jade said quietly "You seem to handle your Pikachu quite strangely. Do you two not get along well?" In an almost apologetic tone, Simon explained his fear of electric types. Jade slowly nodded and then said "You can't judge Pokémon by type, you know, just like you can't judge people by how they look. Everyone is different." While Simon pondered these pearls of wisdom, Pikachu crawled over, and curled up in his lap. Simon smiled, and went to sleep.

The next day, after a quick breakfast and getting dressed, Simon wandered over to Jade and asked: "How about that battle now?" A smile spread across her face, and she readily agreed. "We'll make it two-on two, okay?" he called.
"Fine," she replied, "So I'll start with Aipom" Jade threw a pokeball and out jumped a purple monkey with a fist on the end of its tail.
"Then I'll use my Pidgey!" called Simon, sending out the small bird, "It needs some training up."
"All right, Aipom start with sand-attack!" shouted Jade, but Simon simply told Pidgey:
"Fly above it, and then use Tackle." Pidgey rose into the air, the sand blasting harmlessly along below, and then took a steep dive a tackled Aipom in the face. Aipom was clearly strong, however, as it simply sprang back up, and countered with Scratch before Pidgey could fly away. Pidgey was gutsy, however, and climbed back into the air where Aipom could not reach. Or so Simon thought.
"Into that tree!" called Jade "then scratch again!" Aipom, using its tail as another arm, climbed up a nearby tree, then launched itself off the uppermost branch, right towards Pidgey! The scratch hit full on, and Pidgey was knocked out.
"Return, Pidgey," said Simon "Don't worry; you did well for your first proper battle. Fine then, I choose Pikachu!" Pikachu sprang from its pokeball, sparks already flying from its cheeks. "Let's end this quickly, with Thundershock!" Pikachu shot lightning at Aipom, too quickly to be dodged, and Aipom was out cold from a single hit.
"Fine, then for the final round, I choose Vulpix!" A small orange fox with six tails materialised and began to growl softly.
"Pikachu, use Growl!" called Simon, and Pikachu let out a deafening growl that would have put King Kong to shame. Vulpix seemed almost paralysed by fear, and Simon used this opening to attack. "Now, Thundershock!"
"Counter with ember!" came the order from Jade. The two attacks collided in the air, causing a small explosion.
"Thundershock on the tree now!" ordered Simon, and Pikachu obeyed, causing a tree branch to fall straight at Vulpix. It managed to dodge, but was hit full on by Pikachu's next Thundershock, causing a lot of damage. "Yes! Pikachu, we've got this in the bag!" called Simon, but was interrupted by Jade shouting: "Vulpix, Flail!" Immediately, Vulpix went berserk, thrashing around, hitting Pikachu hard enough to send it flying, right into the tree. Pikachu was knocked out instantly.

"But how?" Simon asked, as he returned Pikachu.
"Flail gets more powerful when the user has less health left. That Thundershock almost KO'd Vulpix, so it was extremely strong." Jade explained, "Don't worry about losing, though, that was your first battle and my fifth. I lost my first three." Slightly cheered by this thought, Simon and his new friend continued to the end of Route 101

Personality: ​

Raven is very shy and timid person. When around many people, he goes out of his way to try and avoid eye contact or just pass right along. However his untangibles are undeniable. He has a sparkling personality when you get to know him, and can pick you up if you're ever down. He shows leadership at times, but at his roots he tries to stay back and be the support character.​

He seems to be more in tune with Pokemon than his own friends. He would sometimes sit out on the hilltops and feed them or simply play with them for hours on end. Granted he was never allowed to have one but the same showed up every day and he found friends that understood who he was.​

Appearence: ​

He wears jeans filled with some pocket change usually, and likes to rock a white t-shirt. Over that he wears a gray hoodie with a pokeball on it. He then lieks to wear a bandana that has a blue scar running down the side of it.​

When it's cold outside he still sticks with jeans and bare hands, but he looks to go with a varsity jacket type fit with a balaclava on his face to protect from swirling winds. Then for some reason he likes to wear a baseball cap.​

His formal wear is not too fancy, only with a collared shirt with a purple tie, couple with a pin stripe jacket, a tan pants, and tan shoes to match.​

His face is petit, as is his body, and has golden yellow eyes. His hair is black combed down the left eye with purple streaks.​

History: ​

Raven was the name given to him by his father, who had been previously experiencing personal and mental problems, and wanted a place to put the darkness away, where he could care for a child.​

Raven was not allowed to go many places at a young age, often times being allowed only a few hundred meters away from his house. He wasn't able to interact with many people at this point, but he was just in range with pokemon. This would explain why he's shy around others, but so in tune with pokemon. They always scurried up to him for food or just to play with. After school and getting his homework done, he would play outside till dusk playing around with all of them.​

When he turned 10, he tried to get a starter pokemon at his professor's lab, but was once again restricted by his parents to stay by himself at home and keep on his studies. He had other plans.​

Away from notice of his parents, he volunteered down at the local pokemon center to treat injuried pokemon and be the assisstant to Chansey. Months later, he was nominated for an award and was found out by his parents later.​

After consouling with each other, his parents decided to let him reach out farther and pursue his own goals. They thought he would be helping out at the pokecenter mostly, but he later told them that he wanted to expand further in the world and reach out to all.​

In this journey he would find himself. Face his fears. And conquer his flaw.​

Everything was eerily quiet in the Jedi Temple. Pisan had been meditating for well over a half and hour now, and was deep in thought. Which was unusual for him but he had been thinking about his childhood for quite some time now. (( As a side note, those who read these next parts without the character sheet in my sig and don't get it, just wait until I have it up. )) Since he felt no presence of anyone in the vicinity, he took the time to shut himself up in that period of time. However what images and sequences that followed were not of his choosing, and not of which he could control...​

The sky was an ominous black and red, and rain was non stop pouring down onto the glossy metal bridges of Kamino, with each drop making a ticking sound as it bounced off. Pisan moved his little legs as fast as they could take him, as he went to hurry onto his father's ship, The Fallen Angel, with his good friend and pilot waiting inside. He slipped and slided around bridges, trying to find where they landed at. Fear and terror was running through his veins as he did this, and he could not think straight. ​

Behind him, all he could hear was the clatter of lightsabers, sparking and screaming as if projecting Pisan's fears. He tried to not glance back at his father. But for the few glances he took, he saw him cornered but full of fight in him, matching two Siths that were dueling him blow for blow. Usually his father only used one lightsaber to fully maximize his skills, but for the few times he was cornered like so, he would use two. His father had been trained in this skill long ago, and had mastered it to perfection. ​

Pisan, after what seemed like countless hours of running, saw the ship up ahead, and ran to it as the hatch opened up. The engines had already started up, with the pilot and Pisan's father's friend knowing what his father was thinking. As soon as he got into the ship panting heavily and blood dripping off of his right shoulder, and ran over to the window as the ship was taking off. Tears streamed down his eyes as he cried to the two gentlemen to go outside and help him. They both looked at each other in dismay, knowing that they would only be a nuisance and get in the way. Nay were they force sensitive either or had any training with a weapon other than a blaster. But very useless when firing at a Sith Apprentice and his master. ​

The distraught boy cupped his hands to his eyes to see better out of the window... ​

His father was still fighting them in a stalemate, the odds against him in a two on one situation. He leaped up over the apprentice, and charged right for his master, isolating him in a quick one vs one situation, that might help him out should he would one of them. He knew these two very well apparently, almost inside and out, because with each movement they made, he could almost mirror or counter it. As soon as the master lifted his hand in the air, Pisan's father ducked and lightning shot out and zapped the Apprentice off the bridge and into the water. Now it was one on one. His father put away his second lightsaber, he gripped tightly to his first, with yellow light gleaming in the never ending darkness. They then charged at each other in an epic struggle to cut the first cut on each other, and then quickly finish it. However, the ship was quickly taking off, and he could barely see any of what was happening at this point. He rubbed his eyes and looked back, to see that the Apprentice did not actually fall in the water, and had finally climbed his way out from the bottom of the bridge. ​

Rain was mixing with blood puddles all throughout that area, and after a 5 minute constant clash of light sabers, his father side stepped and stabbed the Sith Master in the chest, carving out as much of a hole as he could, and sent it back, the light receding back into the hilt. However for the one moment of relief, he was struck by the apprentice, lightning overcoming his body and knocking him out cold. He kicked his master's body into the water, and began to chain up his father's limbs. ​

This was the last of what he could see. Almost 15 years ago it seemed. But Pisan shared a strong connection with his father, and knew somewhere, he was alive. Whether or not he was the same person he remembers is in question, but he is willing to do anything he can to see his father once again.​

Pisan opened his eyes looked around the room, and with a large sigh of breath, heard echoes throughout the hallway.​

Probably nothing. He crossed his arms once again, but this time kept his eyes open and just stared into space.​

Name: Mitchell "Mitch" Zaph
Age: 14
Gender: Male

Personality: Mitch is a very lively boy, he's always doing something... you can't leave him alone for two seconds without him running off. His personality does sometimes get him into trouble, but Mitch doesn't mind... he will keep on doing the same stuff no matter how many times he gets punished. Hidden beneath the crazy kid act is a real sweetie, he's one of the loveliest boys you'll ever meet... he just likes to have fun.

Appearance: Mitch stand at around 5'8 and has a mess of sandy blonde hair atop his head, his eyes are sea blue and appear to swirl in the centre. His skin is lightly tanned which just compliments his sandy hair even more. Mitch's usual attire consists of a thin white shirt with a red striped across the chest and red on the collar, he also wears a pair of long black jeans over pure white sneakers.

When it is cold outside Mitch likes to where a red hoodie over the top of his white shirt, other than that he wears the same stuff as he usually does.

During formal occasions Mitch switches his usual attire for something a bit more "well groomed". First he replaces his shirt for a white button-up with a large collar, his jeans get traded in for a pair of long black dress pants and finally he adds a pair of polished lace-ups instead of his sneakers.

History: Mitch was born and raised in Vendanturf Town, where he lived with his mum, dad and young brother, Billy. No life is more normal than Mitch's... he went to school, hung out with his friends and ate dinner with his family every night. His mother is a florist, who works in Vendanturf and sometimes in Slateport... which means she can be gone for days at a time if she has to. His father was a Pokemon Trainer when he was younger, but now he's a stay at home dad... spending his days caring for his family. He still has all of his Pokemon with him though and sometimes lets Mitch and Billy play with them.

That's all there is to say about Mitch's time growing up in Vendanturf Town.There is nothing strange, different or "abnormal" about his family. When Mitch turned 14 his parents decided to let him go on his Pokémon Journey, he packed up a few things and took the short route through Rusturf tunnel to get to Littleroot town. That's just about the most adventure he's had to date, which is kinda sade...

Name: Grey Christopher Rose
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Personality: Grey is calm whenever things around him are calm. He is a follower if whatever must get done doesn't affect his grades, etc., but whenever something comes up and it will affect his life he will take the lead of the project and complete it with his best efforts and intentions. His mood changes as the mood of those around him changes. If it is a rainy day, he will most likely be gloomy, but on a bright day he will be happy and calm. Whenever something sad, devastating, happy, or joyous happens, he usually won't show much emotion. A good way to describe his personality is if the weather is good, he's good, but if the weather is gloomy, he's gloomy. Because of his small size he is usually picked on by kids his age and older. Usually the first time they pick on him is also the last. He has a darks side when someone threatens him or tries to hurt him. People learn that despite his laid back person, he can get mad fairly easily. Outwardly to everyone Grey is very calm and shy, but those who really get to know him will see that he can be very open and talkative, quite the opposite of his normal, laid back personality. Grey is loyal to everyone around him and when he is around strangers, he tends to try to be cool and mysteries to make a good impression, but he usually fails.
Appearence: Grey is fairly tall for his age, being somewhere around 5'5". He is 'shrimpy' you might say. He doesn't work out, and doesn't have much meat on his bones. He wears a formal watch, nothing fancy though. He usually wears contacts, but if you catch him on a bad day he will be wearing wire-rimmed glasses. He has a few freckles here and there across his face. He has a skinny nose, and has the first signs of acne appearing on his forehead. He has a normal sized chin, and thin lips. He is usually wearing gloves on his hands to cover up his bony fingers. His arms are skinny and most would be able to wrap their hand around his wrists. His legs are the same as his arms: skinny and bony. He has fairly big feet for his small size. A good word to describe his figure is 'lanky'. Grey wouldn't be caught dead in shorts. He always wears jeans, and is okay with short sleeved shirts. Underneath his shirt he always wears a white undershirt. Over his shirt he usually wears a gray hoodie (ironic, aye?). He has bleach-white sneakers; they look as if they have never been worn. Though you can't see his socks, he usually wears the socks that are hidden beneath the shoe.
History:Twenty-two years to the day before Grey was born, his brother, Thorn Jr. was born. Twenty-two years later Grey and his twin sister Scarlett were born on a rainy, gloomy day; his parents were Scarlett and Thorn, both were great, wealthy Pokemon trainers. Sadly, Scarlett died at birth. Then to make his birth sadder, his dad died less than a week later. Now Scarlett was a single mom of to boys: the newborn Grey and Thorn Jr., age 10. Then, when Grey was eight and his brother was 18, their mother died. After the deaths of his parents Thorn became estranged from his only left family member, Grey. He left Grey in the care of Mary Iona, a boring, old caretaker. Luckily for Grey it was only two years before he left on his Pokemon journey. But when Grey finally turned ten, Iona wouldn't let him leave. After another two year wait, Grey was able to leave, but with no Pokemon. On a search to find his brother, he ended up in Sangem Town, where there was a Professor, who had a computer. He looked up his brothers name, Thorn Rey Rose Jr. he found out that his brother was the owner of the biggest money-making company and was better known now as Mr. Rose; Grey then knew that his brother would never let him live with him. He was a big shot now, not caring about his orphaned brother. That is when Grey knew that he finally needed to go on his own Pokemon journey.

Grey watched as night slowly turned to day in the small town of Sangem, Sinnoh. He yearned badly for all of his musical instruments left at home: his piano, both of his saxophones (his alto and tenor), his violin, and harp. All he had been able to take was his small pennywhistle. He quietly blew a few tones into the small recorder-like instrument. Soon the shadows of the buildings around him grew larger and larger untill it was almost too dark for Grey to see. He got off of the step he was sitting on and once again went to look in the music store before it closed. Sparkling saxophones and dazzling flutes lined the neatly tiered shelves in their small cardboard boxes. He was in the woodwind isle, with the many single and double reed instruments. He continued walking and made it to the string isle. It was divided into two sections: plucked and bowed. He could see the large box which held a harp, and also the small box holding violins. Grey skipped over most of the percussion instruments, only stopping once to look at the piano with its beautiful white and black keys. He played a small tune before being yelled at by the store owner.

"Can't you read?" he asked angrily, "Anyways it is time to close!" the man pushed Grey out of the door. There was a Chatot sitting on the mans shoulder, and a Loudred at his side.

Grey was once again back in the cold darkness left by the sun. He finaly decided that it was time to go to the Pokecenter to find a place to sleep. He walked in to the red building and was greeted by an always cheerful Nurse Joy.

"Hello, how may I help you?" the nurse said.

"I just need a place to stay for a night or so,"

"Okay, please just sign in right here," she pushed a small clipboard onto the desk. He signed his name, Grey C. Rose, befor leaving for a room.

He soon found one and went inside. He looked at the clock which read 11:00. It was late, and he was tired. He quickly fell asleep. Soon he found himself on the floor with the sun shining into his eyes. He was wide awake soon, and immediately looked at the clock. Now it read 7:00. It was a quick night for Grey. He quickly made the bed, and started to leave when he saw a small white envelope. Writted on the envelope was , R&R/TT. Grey noticed no return adress, but opened it anyways. It was clearly for him, as it read:



Dear Grey Christopher Rose,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in Slateport City, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. But the laboratory isn't normal. It is located underwater. You will need to report the Oceanic Museum located in East Slateport. There will be no need to pay admission. We will immediately take you to your first destination. You must be there at strictly 7:00 PM. We do not appreciate or tolerate latecomers. Once there, we will all leave for the Laboratory of Professor Hann. There you will receive your first Pokemon, which has been carefully chosen by Hann. Then, Hann and I will explain to you everything that is happening and why. Then, just as quickly as you came, you will leave. You are not to tell anyone about your visit to Professor Hann and you are not to tell anyone about this letter. Leave every one of you Pokemon behind. You will receive your Pokemon once you come to Slateport.

Grey was unable to read the name which was signed, which was unfortunate.

Slateport, aye?, Grey thought, That is in Hoenn if I do believe... I must leave soon. Grey quickly gathered his things which wan't much: a backpack and a letter. He signed out of the PokeCenter, and went outside. Before he left for Slateport he went back to the music shop for one last look. He walked up to the old man and held up his pennywhistle.

"Is there anything that I can trade this for?" Grey asked.

The man put on his glasses and held it up about an inch from his nose. "Hmm..." he said, "Chatot, Loudred. How much would you say this is worth?" The Pokemon looked at the instrument.

"Chat, chat chat, tot!" said the musical bird.

"Loud, d drid!" the Loudred said.

The man cleaned off the mouthpiece and played a tune. The Pokemon jupmed in happyness, clearly glad with the music the instrument produced. The man again said 'Hmm' and went into the back. He came back with an old, greatly-used alto saxophone.

"I can give you this," he said, gesturing to the saxophone, "and also eighty dollars."

Grey brightened up. He quickly traded, then asked how much the saxophone was worth.

"Umm, I'd say around one hundred dollars."

"Okay, thanks!" Grey said rushing out the door. He quickly opened the saxophone case. He put the reed in the mouthpiece, the mouthpiece on the neck, and finaly the neck on the body. He attached the neckstrap and played a small, happy tune. Then he quickly put it up and went off to find a way to Slateport City.

Name: Callum Hanson

Personality: Callum is an energetic, optimistic kid from the get go. There's no shy warming up period when someone first meets him, it's right into the personality-probing questions. He can come off as quite rude and too inquisitive due to this, which isn't something he means to do. He has a fiery temper and can be set off by the slightest thing, generally when he loses a battle. This temper can make it hard for him to get friends, but he is never discouraged and never stops trying. He's very determined to finish what he starts, and has a dislike for those who do. He has a far too offensive style to anything, whether it be battling or violent tackle-hugs. When not infuriated, he can be far too affectionate even though he generally dislikes anything feminine. In all, he's a pretty friendly kid with wild exaggerations in his emotions.

Appearance: When you first lay sight on Callum's hair, you know what to expect from his temper. Yes, his hair is a blazing red-orange which has a tendency to stick up every which-way. It's rather long and his bangs hang in his topaz-shaded eyes. His face, unlike what most people would expect, is just as tan as his body- and yes, he gets a lot of sun. His facial features are rather unremarkable. His jaw is rather squared, even for his young age. He's of a rather normal height of 5'4", and of normal weight, if on the blockier side.

Callum generally wears a shirt and shorts. His shirt is a plain butter yellow, except the sleeves that are sky blue and completely unshaped. His shorts are made of denim and quite faded. He wears a pair of navy blue sneakers on his feet with lighter blue laces. In the cold, he wears a pair of full-length jeans and a red jumper over the top of his normal shirt. During formal occasions, Callum wears a rather smart midnight blue child's black tie suit. He despises wearing it, however.

History: Callum was born in Lavaridge to the resident Nurse Joy and her husband. He learnt how to care for injured Pokémon as a result, but he never saw Pokémon Battling as a cruel sport, even when he had to see a Dodrio with one neck snapped have one head removed. When not learning about Pokémon and how to treat their injuries, he was often visiting the hot springs and occasionally frightening the elderly spring-goers.

When he was eleven, he learnt about the actual option of going out on a Pokémon journey as a genuine trainer, and like most kids, jumped at the chance. After a small amount of nagging his parents, his formerly-a-trainer father decided it would be good for his energetic son to take the opportunity and registered Callum as a trainer. Some time later, on Callum's 12th birthday, he got the letter of confirmation. It was the best present he ever got.

"Paws," Luc moaned as he passed tree after faceless tree. The Shinx was aching all over, but he swore his feet could not take any more punishment. He had been wandering for about a week with no sight of any towns, and he had no way to contact a rescue team. He had been attacked by the few wild and crazy Pokémon he had dared approach, and he was covered in bruises and cuts. The fact that he was certain that he'd been to this part of the forest before didn't make it any better.

"It's all so hopeless," Luc lamented. "I'm going to die here, and I'm never going to see my family or friends ever again…" Tears began to spill from his golden eyes, as they had done at least thrice a day for the past week. His walk became a stagger, and to someone who was just walking by it could appear that young Luc was intoxicated. Luc winced as he stuck his right paw with a metallic thorn. Growling far too loudly, he clawed at the offending spike with his left paw and only succeeded in injuring himself further. He eventually tugged it out with his mouth, but his mood had taken a turn for the worse.

The lion Pokémon tumbled over onto his back, a scowl plastered on his face. "I'm just going to lie here," he announced to no one in particular, "and wait to die." He stared up at the impossibly blue sky as he wished for a way out, or even a way to call for help…

It was like pink lightning, he decided a moment later. A streak of pink flashed across the small patch of the heavens he could see. Suddenly, he was standing up again, wounds and moods forgotten. What on earth was that? It was heading to the southeast of the way that Luc was facing. His face lit up, rather literally, as a theory hit him. The streak had come from civilisation! With a whoop, he charged off to the northwest (of where he was facing, has he actually had no clue of what direction he was taking) with reckless abandon.

And, naturally, about five minutes later he was exhausted. Luc was simply crawling along his belly now, panting loudly and wondering when the angel of death would come. Vaguely, he noticed something yellow in the distance… maybe that was the angel. He laboriously dragged himself to the yellow blur. "Help…" he muttered weakly. The blur was taking shape. It was standing erect and staring at the sky. Two red cheeks made themselves know to the fatigued thirteen-year-old. And a lightning bolt tail sealed the deal- It was not the angel of death, but simply a Pikachu. It seemed to be standing next to a hammock.

"Help!" he called out again, this time louder. "D-Don't kill me! I need help!"
