Pokemon LightningBlue is designed as a third and final counterpart to Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen, corresponding to the Blue and Yellow versions.
You are a new Pokemon trainer just starting out. You are given a special Pokemon, a Pikachu, to take with you on your journey to become a Pokemon Master. On your way you'll meet and capture special Pokemon, battle your rival for supremacy, battle the malicious Team Rocket to stop their plans for world domination, and become the greatest Pokemon trainer ever- You're going to be a Pokemon Master!
My ideas behind the game are pretty simple. It should be an enhanced version of FireRed and LeafGreen just as Yellow was an enhanced version of Red and Blue. LightningBlue combines aspects from the original Yellow version like the role of Pikachu, the ability to obtain all three starters later in the game from npc's, and so on. Because the Kanto remakes included Red and Green rather than Red and Blue, I would like to bring in Blastoise to co-serve as the version mascot. Instead of the rival getting just an Eevee, this game could follow the show and see Gary/Blue end up with Blastoice AND an Eevee. Since the player meets his rival later on in the game in the Sevii Islands which itself sports Johto Pokemon and requires the National Dex, the Eevee could wind up as Umbreon like Gary's Eevee in the anime. Besides accurate teams for the protagonist and rival, gym leaders could be upgraded to sport their teams from the cartoon. Jessie and James can make cameos just as in Yellow. There's so much that could be done with the storyline.
I'm not an expert at hacking ROMs. In fact I never have. I was inspired by the ShinyGold game (which I love by the way) to make a proper remake of an older game. However I've been getting the proper tools for this kind of thing and my only trouble now is learning how to edit script to change events in the ROM. I want to use the LeafGreen version as the base. I don't know, this is just an idea I've had.
