[Question] pokemon mega evolves without mega stone

    So I recently added mega evolution to my fan game but for some reason when I give a trainer a pokemon that can mega evolve they will do so even when it isn't holding a mega stone how do I fix this?
     
    I guess whatever tutorial you followed doesn't correctly check that the Pokémon has a Mega Stone, or you incorrectly followed the instructions. It's impossible to know from the details you've given.
