    When you arrive at the Luminous Spring for the first time, are you forced to evolve?

    nope ! you have the choice if you want to or not, but only later in the game.
    haha that's what i was thinking too. i was like "NOOOO I DONT WANNA EVOLVE"
    it's all good. 8)
