You should have a Pokemon Netbattle server or at least a Pokemon Netbattle forum.

Netbattle is a program that allows you to battle other people with pokemon on the web.

umm where can i find this netbattle whats it all about? Can u really fight other people in pokemon battles on the web

Well... maybe they should think it over and bring up some new features to the community?

The chatroom is an IRC thing with #free Pokemon. Not really a chatroom ai?

we would love to run a net battle server but as stated, we'd need a linux version and so far there is none..

as for PC's chat room (currently down due to recent upgrades) (NOW UP and working!) it is a semi-private room on IRC located on the dejatoons network.

I see well i will download it and such...but t would be better if PC itself had its own server there where we could battle, lets hope for the near furture

It's already expencive as is to hold Pc together, getting it's own server to hold such a thing would possibly bring ti to it's own downfall ^^; there is only so much stuff you can add to a site befor it's crashcard comes. I'm shocked they even had the room for a chat room/oekaki and oekaki chatroom. its very honorable to have what we already have and be one of the best running in this nation of the world.

Cool! I'm downloading the mIRC script now.

But anyway.... a Netbattle server would have been good. Not going to pester for the thing though. =D

I'm sure someone already on NetBattle might be willing to run a server for you.

Even I, the member that uses public terminals, has a server on NB, called Pokemon Defender to share the name of my forum. U probably can run one easily.

    ...Isn't it Windows you'd need (which, pointlessly-saying, I use)?

it is windows from what i've seen.. however we want it on our server and domain and at our 100Mbps connection.. not at some home broadband.

    we currently run linux..

I realize that, and I also realize the problems with switching to Windows on here (I'm taking Networking right now)...but it seems to me that this Netbattle program SHOULD work on Linux if it works on Windows...

or, you can ask someone else to host the forum for you.......Plenty of people here are from NB, perhaps they can create a server. And I do believe as well that NB should work on Linux as well

No, they're completely different operating systems. You're talking a port here, which means recoding anything that interacts with Windows to re-interface with Linux and then recompiling. It's quite complicated.

Hm.. bringing the other topic up when started, a Netbattle forum sounds good. But um, Battle Logs already handle that kind of, don't they?
