Suggestion: Pokemon of the day (or week) (or month)

I think PokeCommunity should have a Pokemon of the day type thing somewhere.... if day is too frequent, PC could do a Pokemon of the week, or Pokemon of the month.... with maybe a description on why that Pokemon was chosen, maybe on PC's homepage or something....

That, and I don't really see a point in this even if it was original. Proclamation isn't something I'm happy with. Imo.

If we did have it, it could get jammed in a sticky in Pokemon General, where it will get noticed for the first two Pokemon, and then die horribly.

It would be a lot of effort, for something not many people will use.

I think it would be useful during a new game when new Pokemon are being released but most people who hang around PGen are normally familiar with all the Pokemon. I don't see it serving any purpose imo.

I think PokéCommunity already has a sort of unofficial-official Pokémon of the millennia. Whether trying to please a certain Cherrim-obsessed administrator or if it's genuine, I'll never know, but most of the community seems to be rather obsessed about it.

It's a neat concept I guess, but like it's been said, where would we put it? Pokemon General would be the best section, but does everyone really wanna talk about a certain Pokemon for a month? If it's something like say, Slugma, that doesn't have a lot of fans and doesn't have much purpose in battle, then what can really be said about it? Just seems like a feature that wouldn't get any use and not many people would really enjoy it.

To be honest, this is a little too similar to WTP (Whose that Pokemon?) since they would both serve the same purpose; to focus on one singular pokmeon like that.
