Pokemon Onyx Recruitment Thread.

Alright, I suppose I should start with an introduction. My alias is 4th Gen Matt (obviously) and my real name is Matt. The game I am currently making is called Pokemon: Onyx Version and it is being made with RM2k3.

I have always wanted to make my own Pokemon game, so I started working with RM2k3 and I have gotten pretty good at it. I know the last thing anybody wants to do is make a game for the person asking for a team while he/she sits on their butt and does nothing.

With me, this will DEFINITELY not be be the case. Here is a list of things I will do:

- Game Designing
- Some Basic Events
- Mapping
- Web Designing

I can design the game, come up with ideas, and all that jazz. I am fairly decent with events but there is some stuff I cannot do. I am a decent mapper but I am always paranoid about my work thinking the town is too small or it looks ugly, although it may not. I also get really bored while mapping, I am a very skilled web designer. I have taken a Web Designing class in High School and created several websites using freewebs, and some other designing tools.

So that is basically what I have to offer. Please note that I usually have about 5 hours to work on the game on weekdays. I can work about 8-9 hours on weekends, so I will definitely not have not enough time.

The part I am a bit embarrassed to ask. As much as I would love to do this game myself, it is impossible. Here is what I think I will need help with.

- Advanced Events: As I said, I can do basic events, but may need help with stuff like switches and movement.

- Spriter: Trainers and Pokemon. I can find some resources on the net, but there is some custom stuff that I need done solely for our game. (Yes, our game.)

- Mapper: I can map, rest assured. It is by far my least favorite thing to do and I would like someone to help me with it. We can work on the maps together.

- Someone That Can Do a Battle System: Yeah, I have no clue how I would accomplish this one without someone else's help. This is one of the most important things I need.

- Artist: I need a title screen, banner, and support banner. You WILL get credit!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I need to show something proving that I got some work done. Well, I have gotten 69 resources, and given credit to everyone that let me use e'm. Here are some screenshots of the first town called Ivory Town. I will most likely redo these if I get help from a better mapper then I.

Awesome, can you give me some examples of your work?

Are you also a decent concept artist because I need a banner, title screen, and support banners for the game.

They are pretty nice, I will just give you a test.

From episode 34 (I think) in the pokemon anime, there is an episode called "The Crystal Onix". Basically it is an Onix made of glass. Make me a sprite of it please.

If you need to know what it looks like, just search Crystal Onix on Google image search.
