Pokemon Platinum/Heartgold Rombase with expanded Pokedex?

    Even though I'm very new to romhacking I want to try something interesting and new and Light Platinum NDS inspired me to try it. Can it be possible to expand the tables to add in the Unova and Kalos Pokemon and battle mechanics? I can't find any Gen 4 tutorials out there and I don't know how to start. I might use Platinum as a base but I might choose Heartgold if there are any advantages when it comes to the data.
