pokemon ranch acting weird...

    some of my pokemon wont go in the ranch... if i deposit them it says ***** came back. was it worried about you?

    is this normal?

    Yes, actually. If a Pokemon does that, it usually means that said Pokemon is the only one remaining on your DS game that has been taught a specific HM.

    To expand: This also happens when you try to release Pokemon when they known an HM that no one else knows.

    To change this, either go to the Move Deleter, or teach someone else this specific HM. Bibarrel+Starly can learn all 8.
